34 There's a part of me that loves history that would sort of like to see a tie in the electoral college and the race be thrown into the house and the VP race thrown into the Senate. It would be the 1st time since I think 1824. Republicans would easily win in the house and we might end up with Joe Biden as VP again... on second thought, scratch that.

69 Peggy Noonan:

"We begin with the three words everyone writing about the election must say: Nobody knows anything. Everyone’s guessing. I spent Sunday morning in Washington with journalists and political hands, one of whom said she feels it’s Obama, the rest of whom said they don’t know. I think it’s Romney. I think he’s stealing in “like a thief with good tools,” in Walker Percy’s old words. While everyone is looking at the polls and the storm, Romney’s slipping into the presidency. He’s quietly rising, and he’s been rising for a while."

...............

"Romney’s crowds are building—28,000 in Morrisville, Pa., last night; 30,000 in West Chester, Ohio, Friday It isn’t only a triumph of advance planning: People came, they got through security and waited for hours in the cold. His rallies look like rallies now, not enactments. In some new way he’s caught his stride. He looks happy and grateful. His closing speech has been positive, future-looking, sweetly patriotic. His closing ads are sharp—the one about what’s going on at the rallies is moving.

All the vibrations are right. A person who is helping him who is not a longtime Romneyite told me, yesterday: “I joined because I was anti Obama—I’m a patriot, I’ll join up But now I am pro-Romney.” Why? “I’ve spent time with him and I care about him and admire him. He’s a genuinely good man.” Looking at the crowds on TV, hearing them chant “Three more days” and “Two more days”—it feels like a lot of Republicans have gone from anti-Obama to pro-Romney."

89 OT: Valerie Jarret is leading 'secret' talks with IRAN.  No joke

From theblaze.com

Obama's union thug 'friend', who hates America and wasn't even born here, is representing us in negotiations that could determine the future of the world.  Treason trials are in order.  She was born in Iran

Was this scrunt vetted by congress?  Is she a registered diplomat with the state department? NO, she's a political HACK.  Like Bob Beckel or something.  Amature doesn't even begin to describe this.. She's the one who said that Obama "would rule us well"...

Wake up people! I'm voting even if there's a solid path of broken shards of glass on the way to the polling station.  I'll even crawl on my hands and knees for effect.

134 http://tinyurl.com/9xupqlm Link to the Rasmussen party affiliation page. If this is true Rasmussen BETTER have a good reason for using a DRI of 39/37/24 in his polls and not say his "gut" instead of what he has in his party affiliation which is DRI 33/39/28.

137 Rasmussen has two party IDs. One is R+6 and the other is D+2-4 which he uses for the daily tracking poll depending on his mood.

139 Ras has a monthly compilation of party ID going way back. It's done an 13 point reversal since last election, from +7 Dem to +6 Rep. His daily tracking poll is another matter entirely. In that they simply ask people they're polling (the likely voters) what party they identify with. But it's weighted with some secret sauce formula. I am mystified how the monthly party ID could be so different from the tracking poll ID which I think is Dem +4. It makes no sense to me unless we're to believe that the lost 10 points (+6 monthly R to +4 tracking D) means the Repubs won't vote. And this seems ludicrous. The pollsters have not explained things well at all this election. I'm getting the strong feeling that they are all looking over their shoulders at each other and deciding to make it a grand tie. It's kind of like Judge Roberts punting on Obamacare. They're punting cause they're scared. And what are they scared of? Being wrong, of course. But it's better to be wrong in a group than alone. And they're also scared of Nate Silver. We have to win this election to take him down. He has influenced polling greatly and stolen much of our joy and momentum.

145 "I am tired of living in a country where every decision that we’ve made over the last ten years wasn’t for something, but it was because people told us we had to fear something. We had to fear people who looked different from us. Fear people who believed in things that were different from us. Fear of one another right here in our own backyards. I am so tired of fear. And I don’t want my girls to live in a country, in a world, based on fear. The thing that I want you all to remember: please, please, don’t base your vote, this time, on fear. Base it on possibility. Think. Listen. The game of politics is to make you afraid so that you don’t think. And what we need right now isn’t political rhetoric, it isn’t game-playing. We need leadership; we need people with judgment; we need decent people, people with common sense, people with strong family values. People who understand the world. We have this window of opportunity; we have a chance to make something real happen. Something possible happen, to live beyond our fear — think about that, and help us."

Why early voting is misleading.

Obama may have won early voting last time around, but he did not win BECAUSE of it.  He did not have to drag people to the polls, there was a wave.  That is why he took independents by six (or so).

This time Obama will need in excess of the last time in early voting, to make up for the lack of a wave.   Put another way, the last time he dragged people to the polls, yes, but many came willingly and energetically for the "hope and change".  With that gone, he has to drag more to the polls.

If he's down on the early "dragging to the polls" group.  He's toast because the "hope and change" wave will just not be there on election day.

Romney 305 or more EV's.

151 Isn't the Department of Justice suing Gallup because they didn't like some of their polling results?  That would seem to discourage pollsters from publishing results unfavorable to the regime, no?
