Buzzfeed thinks it's found the tape -- at least an edited version of it.

Buzzfeed believes The Tape is an old one which has been known about since 2007:

It might be the tape. But the edits indicate there was stuff we didn't see.

But based on this part -- yes, he's doing a mild black accent.

I sure hope there's more to it than this.

Based on the Screencap at Drudge... this is in fact the video-- the podium and nearby drumkit are identical.

"Unscrubbed:" Daily Caller now saying they'll be releasing the unscrubbed version of the video -- confirming (as if it needs confirming) that this is The Tape, but we've only seen a "scrubbed" version of it.

11 This particular video is not siren worthy.  Yes, it contradicts Obama's claims that he had only a minor relationship with Rev. Wright.  But we already knew that, and there were already tapes to this effect released in 2008.

Where is "teh racism"? That would indicate something a bit more charged. You need something controversial in the substance.  Or at the absolutely very least, Obama using some sort of speech affect or slang.

If not, Drudge just worked up a big ol' foam for a tape that's been in the blogosphere for a very long time, and is just an excuse to rehash the Wright attack.

Just watched it.  Maybe the version I saw was edited.  But what I saw is not really that controversial.  Nothing over-the-top.

One thing that was interesting:  He talked about the riots following the Rodney King acquittal.  Reminiscent of his comments regarding the "Islam tape" and "spontaneous riots," he said that nothing justified the LA riots, but, essentially, you could understand where the rioters were coming from.

Beyond that, nothing really to see, unless there is more.

78 I hope this tape is the Oct. surprise instead of Iran deciding to nook someone.  On the other hand, I had a nice surprise at work today.  One of my 27 year old staff members, making 3600 per month and moved back in with Mom and Dad, who are both teachers, announced he couldn't vote for Obama again so he's going to vote for Ron Paul.  I told him I thought that was an excellent idea.  He's been indoctrinated to abhor Repulican ideology.

I watched the buzzfeed video. It was red meat for his base, but nothing in here really harms him. Yes, he's doing the full-on Jesse Jackson "black voice for black audience" thing that is worth some ridicule in the way it so obviously panders, but strictly speaking, a black man sounding black really isn't a scandal.

My comments now: Since I didn't hear the "suburbs" line in the buzzfeed video, this rumor of an "unscrubbed" version sounds likely.

90 If this is about suburbs and redistribution, I would highly recommend reading Stanley Kurtz at NRO.  He's looked into this and has a lot of interesting things to say about Obama's fascination with, I think he called it, regional redistribution.  It goes along with other released tapes of Obama talking about the redistributive power of local governments.

Meanwhile, conservatives are all going, "I hope it's something worse than that."

Why? Because we know the MSM isn't going to give any story legs that isn't a clear-cut bombshell. Whereas the libs need just any sound bite that can be twisted and trumpeted by the MSM.

(Did you notice that the garbage man commercial used a tiny sliver with Romney saying, "I can't worry about those folks"--and made it seem like he was talking about the working class? I mean, presumably Richard Hayes pays income taxes.)

OT, but I HAD to post this:

 

Cut a half-hour radio show today as a CPA/tax expert.  One of the interviewers asked me about the Bush tax cuts expiring on December 31.  I corrected him: let's call them what they are:  tax rate hikes. 

 

Hope they don't cut that out of the final version, although I doubt they would.  This is a pretty conservative area. 

 

It did feel good to control the word choice of what went out on the airwaves.

 

Only wish this would air at a time and on a channel that lazy libtards would listen to.

I've been surprised there has been no consequences at all, O has done nothing to respond to the 9/11 part 2 murders.  Sending in the FBI is a joke.  When have we ever sent the FBI to a foreign country after an attack on US people or assets?  When the Marine barracks were bombed, did Reagan send the effing FBI there to "investigate." Fast and Furious, Benghazi, $1.2 trillion in deficits, shrinking manufacturing, disappearing household wealth, stagnant GDP, fewer and fewer workers--those are real news *now*.
