“We just learned that ATF senior management placed two of the main whistleblowers who have testified before Congress about Fast and Furious under the supervision of someone who vowed to retaliate against them,” they wrote before describing how senior political figures have made dangerous threats before.

Grassley and Issa said that in early 2011, right around the time Grassley first made public the whistleblowers’ allegations about Fast and Furious, Scot Thomasson – then the chief of the ATF’s Public Affairs Division – said, according to an eyewitness account: “We need to get whatever dirt we can on these guys [the whistleblowers] and take them down.”

Thomasson also allegedly said that: “All these whistleblowers have axes to grind. ATF needs to f—k these guys.”

Issa and Grassley want to know if Thomasson has been admonished. But that's probably executive privilege information, too.

Those friggin kangaroos on Scotus need to be gone now. I am apoplectic about this shit, and it's pouring out of every orifice of government. My candidate threw out a press release yesterday that wasn't a controlled, measured, calculated political message but rather an expression of anger and a call to arms. We were very concerned that it might end his career. But guess what? It worked. People have poured out f the woodwork to work for him and throw down some jack. Even though I say things like that message he sent everyday, I was trepidatious about the messaging. But people are ready to hear it be told like we would want it to be told, even here in MA.

1. Guy whose nephew enlisted in the Navy.  He thinks he will go for 20 years,  because he doesn't want to get out and flip burgers.  I commented that it was wise because of the lack of jobs.  He went into an absolute tirade about illegal aliens and the Obama Dream Act.

2.  Couple I ran into on Friday,  when I picked up my auction purchases.  They make extra money by going to garage sales and buying things and then bringing it to auction house to sell.  They are fed up with schools and will home school next year. They blame Obama for the school mess.

3. Auctioneer is beside himself with the insurance stuff and the decision.  Not happy at all.  Definite Romney vote.

Looking hard at western Australia.  Port Hedland area to be specific.  Its away from any of the big cities, at the edge of a desert, and the local economy is booming.  Its a little warmer than FL in the summers, but there's little rain, so the humidity shouldn't be as bad, winters should be pleasant.

The taxes are harsh in Australia, but the salaries in the local industry appear to be correspondingly higher than in the USA.  I have more faith that the Aussies will eventually throw off their nanystateism than the US will.

153 The one thing about Australia that has me interested is they're NOT afraid to exploit the mineral wealth.  They're mining their asses off and shipping all sorts of ores and shit to Asia.  They're also perfectly capable of being completely self sufficient on food and fuel if the world wide econ-shitstorm really gets bad.

There's a lot of room for the place to grow in the future too.  Only about 22M people total, and the bulk of those are concentrated near the big cities.  Find a place like Port Hedland, and the craziness of the cities is gonna be far away for a long time.

A lesbian, pagan, left-libertarian friend of mine was saying yesterday how wonderful it was. She also supported the SCOAMT forcing the Catholic Church to violate a 2000-year-old teaching as a condition of operating hospitals and charities.

I asked her if as a leftist she was comfortable giving the government that kind of power. She said that since health care for all was a good thing, it was okay that the government was forcing people to do it. I mentioned that the whole "We have to break some eggs to make an omelet" thing has never worked out well in the past. I also mentioned that the next government usurpation of liberty may not come from a liberal, and how we should like the government forcing pagans to violate their beliefs? She simply replied that some people will always be pissed off at the government, and she's glad "the needy" are now getting their at the expense of "the greedy."

All of these people will live to see the power they've happily handed over to the state used against them. That's how it always works. Sad, really.

It's WAY to early to fade. The party is just getting started. We've lost nothing at this point and people are energized for this fight! The election is not until November and there is a lot of shit in play. The MFM may actually have to report some of this shit. Just keep-on keepin'-on until the election.

265 288, I like to bring up the seemingly forgotten fact that the Dems not only explicitly exempted themselves from the law, Obama has granted hundreds of waivers to his connected buddies. I especially enjoy the reactions of the several unemployed trade union guys that I know. Their "leaders" are exempt, but the unemployed rank-and-file are not.

You can also toss in the fact that on top of the ZeroCare tax increase, Obama has vowed to let the Bush tax rates expire. That means an increase on everybody, right down to the burger-flippers. While is difficult to get a Dem to understand math, sometimes you can get lucky.

273 I too am pissed off. I'm disappointed in the Supreme Court decision. But yesterday I met Ted Cruz (and incidentally his father Raphael). Ted Cruz is the real deal. He deserves the support of every patriot. His opponent, David Dewhuchison, has more money than Croesus and the support of every rino in America. I am not much on being the guy on stage, but I put my body between Ted Cruz and any potential physical threat yesterday. If I can do that, I can muster the courage to fight for America, too. I can at least do that.
