Oh, that's the ever-douchier and less relevant Kevin Smith arguing with him with his fake "Hey mannn, I'm just a gentle hippie" bullshit.
Lovitz nails him on this act by pointing out Kevin Smith's favorite word is "monetize."

I think the culture may be changing over in Hollyweird. There do seem to be more celebs who are either actively conservative, or at least not as actively hostile toward conservatives around now. And the more of them there are, the harder it is to black-list them.

Is he really liberal? I mean, I guess I figured he was on the Left but I've never heard him be overtly political and certainly not partisan.
He is probably immune from Hollywood. He seems to get a couple of bit parts every year. He doesn't seem to be in with the culture, I know he was distraught after Phil Hartman died and was furious at Andy Dick.
Obama is such a disaster that people who care more about being honest with themselves rather than being partisan just can't manage it.

In the clip he says, "...and I'm a Democrat and I voted for the guy..." so... yes: he's liberal.
Actually, he may only think he's liberal. Like the game Mark Davis likes to play, "Are you really a liberal?" Step one: provide one controversial/divisive liberal position you are proud to hold.

I think Adam, although not a megastar, is so likeable and easy to work with that he can be outspoken as long as he isn't a dick about it (and he isn't). And I think, at least for TV, having a popular, outspoken, likeable conservative is a plus. We tend to watch things with Drew Carey, Patricia Heaton, Adam Baldwin, Kelsey Grammer, etc. in them.

THIS. Obama got elected in no small part because of the cool factor. Then it became verboten to mock him, make fun of him, or make him the butt of jokes. This is starting to crack. The jokes are starting to be okay to laugh at. Once it becomes socially acceptable to laugh at the First Black President Evah, it might just break wide open. Everything people have been holding inside may start to spill out, once the fear of social ostracizing begins to lose its magic grip. Nothing is more powerful than ridicule in this election. When people are free to say "what an asshole", and laugh in his face, we win.

This is the start of something I think we are going to see much more of. The criticism of Obama will begin or end with these words: "I voted for the guy."
This will be done to lend credibility to the criticism of Obama. As Ace has pointed out, people need to come to certain conclusions on their own. And people generally don't want to admit a mistake. Rather than simply admit they made a mistake they will say "And I voted for the guy." As if to say, look I gave him every chance in the world, I like him, but he has really screwed up.
Conservatives are probably best served by simply letting them make this criticism without following it up with an "I told you so" or "You should have known better."
The more we hear the line "And I voted for the guy" the better Mitt's chances. In fact, I could see a Weekend Update routine - "And I voted for the guy."
"Obama sure seems a lot like Bush when it comes to executive power, And I voted for the guy."
"The racial tension in this country sure has increased since Obama took office, And I voted for the guy."

I think liberals are only starting to realize what a disaster Twitter is for them.
For a lib, they simply assert their position on something and expect people to applaud them for their enlightenment. But on Twitter, they can actually be confronted, and often by very smart people. And they whither.
Moreover, their humorlessness keeps them away from fun like #ObamaEatsDogs because everything has to be so serious.

This is the start of something I think we are going to see much more of. The criticism of Obama will begin or endwith these words: "I voted for the guy."
And all of us who knew better than to vote for him will just nod our heads in agreement and mumble, "It's about time you woke up. Welcome to the party."

Lovitz has done a good job at showing how easy it is to mock the whole class warfare argument. Be brash about it. Point out how illogical it is to live in a country that believes the sky's the limit, but a government that thinks half the sky belongs to us. Go to college to succeed, but once you succeed we will take from you. Rush has it exactly right - for the left - failure is a virtue. Success should be penalized. Lovitz just shows that it is easy to mock.

New York City charges a personal income tax to City residents. The tax is administered and collected by the New York State Department of Taxation and Finance for the City.
Who must pay this Tax?
Every income-earning individual, estate and trust residing in New York
City must pay personal income tax. Part-year residents figure their tax
based on income and deductions on the days lived in NYC.
Most people living outside the City are not subject to NYC personal
income tax. However, non-city residents who are Employees of New York
City must file Form 1127 and pay taxes each year. The amount is equal to the personal income tax they would owe if they were City residents.

Say, maybe Lovitz should follow in the footsteps of another SNL alum - Dennis Miller. Both are too old to ever be considered edgy or hip. But both are remembered by a generation of fans of being part of a pretty good SNL run. And it turns out that that generation is in or about to enter in to their prime earning years. Statistically, this is the peak conservative that generation should be - overcoming their youthful idealness, but not old enough to where they are about to suckle from the government teet. If Lovitz wants to make money, this kind of comedy seems to be better than Louis CK.

If you're talking about the Bruins, I liked the Sunday game better . . . If you mean the Yanks-Sox, well, the best thing about it was the interruption to show the last few innings of that spectacular perfect game in Seattle (home of the punk'd, sportswise). So far, in the long dark night of "no football," though, my absolute fave has been Bubba Watson and his sheer, fucking awesomeness.

Speaking of Jon Lovitz, he was great in "A League of Their Own."
Good flick although I'm not sure if I can watch it again what with Rosie being Rosie.

I am a Yankees fan. I have always bee a Yankees fan. I will always be a Yankees fan.
There is no other sport other than baseball, and the highest expression of that sport is beating the Red Sox.
