Friend --

It's my honor to invite you to take part in an event I'm hosting at my home with the President and First Lady on June 14th.

If you can make a donation of any amount today, you'll  be automatically entered to win two tickets to New York to join us.

Just before Election Day in 2008, I went to an Obama campaign office in New York and called some undecided voters.

I believed then, as I do now, that if we all chipped in and did our part, we would not only make history, but create meaningful change that so many Americans needed.

For me, this election is even more important than 2008.

As a woman, a mother, and an entrepreneur, I need to believe our country can be a place where everyone has a fair shot at success.

This November's election will determine whether we get to keep moving forward, or if we're forced to go back to policies that ask people like my middle-class family in Ohio to carry the burden -- while people like me, who don't need tax breaks, get extra help.

I'm hosting this event on June 14th because there is so much at stake this year, and I want to keep doing what I can.

I hope you'll help me welcome President Obama and the First Lady to New York.

It should be fabulous.

Donate $3 or whatever you can to be automatically entered to win:

Hope to see you there,

Sarah Jessica

76 I'm glad the founding fathers didn't give us royalty but watching Queen Elizabeth is sometimes fun, as today when 1,000 boats took part in a procession on the river Thames. Good article from The Telegraph here:

http://tinyurl.com/6rha693

Among the 10 music barges carrying floating bands and orchestras down river, the London Philharmonic Orchestra, the last boat in the flotilla, cheekily conjured up the James Bond theme music as it passed MI6 headquarters at Vauxhall Cross and gave the sodden crowds an impromptu rendition of SinginÂ’ in the Rain.

106 According to political scientist Carol M. Swain's unsettling new book, "The New White Nationalism in America: Its Challenge to Integration," the U.S. is on the brink of an explosion of white "tribalism" that could trigger unprecedented levels of racial antagonism and an epidemic of violence. The underlying cause: a swelling "white nationalist" movement fueled by simmering resentment of affirmative action programs like those used by the University of Michigan. "The book is a wake-up call to warn people that we're following a dangerous course by pushing identity politics and multi-culturalism," explains the Vanderbilt law school professor. "There's nothing special about the U.S. that says we couldn't have ethnic cleansing and violence here like in Bosnia or Rwanda."

Well, this certainly explains the thinking of the NBPP

123 Daily Caller: Romney assures conservatives: Obamacare repeal starts on day one 6:41 PM 06/03/2012 News that Mitt Romney had tapped former Utah Governor and HHS Secretary Mike Leavitt to be the point man of what Politico described as a “government-in-waiting” worried at least one conservative opinion leader Sunday. Ben Domenech, a think tank policy fellow, and co-founder of RedState.com, unleashed a torrent of Tweets, noting that Romney had “chosen as his transition leader one of the handful of Republicans who supports Obamacare’s central expansion.” (Last year, the Wall Street Journal reported that, Leavitt “strenuously backed the core piece of President Barack Obama’s health-care law and urged the states to move forward together in adopting health insurance exchanges.”) The worry, of course, is that this selection perhaps says something about Romney’s commitment to overturning ObamaCare. But Team Romney was quick to dismiss the criticism. Reached for comment, Romney spokesman Lenny Alcivar said: “Unlike President Obama, voters can rest assured that a Romney Administration will put America back on track. That starts with repealing Obamacare, starting Day One. Make no mistake, the only person who will make policy decisions under a Romney Administration is Mitt Romney.”

161 The component scans for all Bluetooth devices in range and collects the status and unique ID of each one found, presumably so that it can be uploaded later to servers under the control of attackers, the Symantec report said. It also embeds an encoded fingerprint into each infected device with Bluetooth capabilities. The BeetleJuice module gives the attackers the ability to track not only the physical location of the infected device, but the coordinates of smartphones and other Bluetooth devices that have been in range of the infected device. "This will be particularly effective if the compromised computer is a laptop because the victim is more likely to carry it around," the report stated. "Over time, as the victim meets associates and friends, the attackers will catalog the various devices encountered, most likely mobile phones. This way the attackers can build a map of interactions with various people—and identify the victim's social and professional circles." By measuring the strength of radio signals broadcast by devices indexed by Flame, attackers in airports, city streets, and other locations might be able to measure the comings and goings of a host of people, the Symantec report goes on to say. It refers to at least one attack that was reported to identify Bluetooth devices more than a mile away. The post says BeetleJuice could be used to upload contacts, text messages, photos, and other data stored on Bluetooth devices, or to bypass firewalls and other security mechanisms when exfiltrating sensitive information.

Swain is onto something, but once again the liberal academic mind has inverted cause and effect.

Federal welfare and entitlement programs have gone a long way in terms of infantalizing parts of our society, and Black Americans in particular.

In the days of a two tier society when open discrimination based on race happened, the Black family was still pretty strong - with low levels of divorce and out of wedlock births.  Today, with the help of programs fostered by the Great Society to promote "equality", out of wedlock births among the Black minority are astronomical, as are abortions.

Not to mention the success stories of such cities as Detroit, Gary Indiana and East St. Louis Illinois.  What people should be outraged about is the TRILLIONS of dollars mispent that have created terrible social pathologies by undermining social norms.  People like this academic nincompoop Carol Swain are aiders and abetters of the social disaster that has overtaken large parts of many American cities, in the false name of equality.  It was and is about vote buying and keeping the Black Man on the Democrat plantation, so he can reliably vote for the Democrat candidate.

Posted by: Scobface at June 03, 2012 08:13 PM (IoNBC) Seem to recall not having enough valid signatures is what disqualified Ogabe's opponent for the state senate seat in Illinois. Wouldn't be surprised if McCotter was sandbagged." 1000 were required; they turned in over 2000; but only a few hundred were rejected...I smell a rat. Consider two points: 1) the acceptance rate of recall sigs in Wisc. 2) the Leftist tactic of sandbagging your opponent in the eyes of decent people by forcing a headline that claims he didn't follow a standard rule. Cf. getting Worthing arrested on a bullshit charge, and then spreading the rumor that he was guilty of contempt of court in order to delegitimize him in the eyes of his potential conservative supporters.

188 I bought Swain's book at the time, 1990s. It was done before flashmobs, when whites didn't care so much about crime. So, yes, at the time AA was the issue. Swain was, herself, a black libertarian. I understand she has since converted to Christianity and is now fully Conservative. She predicted accurately, imo, what is going on with the whites-first side of the Right 'web. It was just amren and the s'fronters then in the 90s. Now... that part of the Right is much more powerful. Why is that? Because the US chose not to read her book, imo. Don't jerk your knees before you have the context, 'rons. I love ya, but... Hey, I thought she was very doable a couple decades ago. And I'm not even a brony.

But this bullshit:

This November's election will determine whether we get to keep moving
forward, or if we're forced to go back to policies that ask people like
my middle-class family in Ohio to carry the burden -- while people like
me, who don't need tax breaks, get extra help.

That gets her on the shitlist. There is so much wrong there I've given on even trying to discuss it with such people. Some people are simply born lacking the cognitive capability to understand the evil, necessary in minimal amounts, of taxation.

What is this 'extra help' she claims to have received? Not having a bracket intended to confiscate nearly every dollar earn above an amount decided by other people? Does she comprehend the difference between charity and money seized at gunpoint?

I talk to people every day who supported O'bozo in '08 and won't be voting for him this year.  Some say they'll  vote for Mittens, others are thinking of just sitting this one out.

Here's the thing, though: I've met absolutely NO ONE who didn't vote for Toonces in '08 that's ready to vote for him in November.  Not a single person. I suspect none of you have either.  In other words, his performance in the last 3 1/2 years has convinced or converted absolutley no one.

Anyone here seeing anything different?

197 @204 Well, no, that's not the right response or attitude. Not if you want to actually win over the people on the fence--which is who your target actually should be. No one's going to budge the true believers, and if you take an antagonistic public stance, then you make them look right and alienate supports. I'm not saying to be passive, but I am saying you should be a happy warrior and always ask for evidence, since most of these shmucks will never be able to provide it. So they look ignorant (and hence their intellectual pose is damaged) and you look serious and inquisitive, which you are.

202 You know what "fair" taxation would be, Jessica? The same amount from everyone. That's perfectly fair. We're all citizens, equal under the law, deriving the same benefit from the government, so we pay the same amount -- $10,000 for every man, woman, and child.

Now, of course, a lot of people can't afford that much. Okay, how about a flat tax? Same fraction of everyone's income. That's pretty fair. It's what the fucking Prophet Muhammad mandated to his followers, and we're always supposed to learn from other cultures, right? We'd all have to pay a third of everything we make, but it's fair.

Don't like that either? Then shut the fuck up about fairness. You aren't interested in fairness, you want other people to pay for things you want. You're a god-damned thief.

I can think of maybe two or three people who voted for the first Affirmative Action President who will probably conveniently "forget" to go vote because they secretly hope Mitt will win but can't bring themselves to admit it even to themselves.

But everyone else will cheerfully go out and kick America in the balls again so they can feel all progressive and smart and wonderful.

It's partly that, but not totally.  The West is individualistic which means that we use guilt as our main control mechanism - as guilt is a totally individualistic mechanism (no one needs to know what I've thought or done for me to feel guilty about it; it's enough that I (and G-d) know).  This is a great advantage in that individualism is what set the West apart from the rest of the world, but the downside is that guilt is an extremely powerful tool and its abuse is not easily corrected.  It's not just those that have who are subject to this.

Look at language and what we all acknowledge as clear double standards.  This is no secret.  Everyone knows about it and how ridiculous and stupid it is, but whites are still scared to break that, now solidified taboo that is firmly ensconced in our communal guilt reflex.  Even this site shies away from even the most modest language and nothing that isn't said against whites in public by public officials in public ceremonies every single day.

Guilt, like nukes, is a tool of extreme power for our development (individualism, that is) that can lift those who use it correctly above those who don't, but it can be turned against us, too (while those who don't use it are immune to its effects - reason #663,987 why empathy is a shit tool to use in any cross-cultural context).  And once the guilt button is set at some point for us, it is very, very, very hard to change ... without some extraordinary events.  Sadly, the death of our society is not extraordinary enough, since white guilt has been pursuing exactly that end as atonement for our having humiliated and embarrassed the rest of the world with our advancement, freedom, productivity, and the rest.

All tools are dual-use, the more powerful the tool, the greater the threat of having it turned against us.  And guilt is an individualistic tool that no one else on the planet cares much about or is effected by. Only the West.  It's the ultimate targeted weapon, in that respect ... but it never could have been turned against us without our own consent.  Sad.  And really pathetic.
