Lena Dunham, of HBO's "Girls," Cuts Obama Ad
— Ace

It's hideous.

It's not funny, it's not cute, and it's not persuasive, unless you think the important issues in this campaign are Binders Full of Birth Control.

It underlines the essential triviality of Obama and his Government Client & Upper Upper Class White Voter agenda. There is nothing to his campaign except very small social-progressive appeals to people who are simply not affected by the economy, whether they are too poor to notice a bad economy, immunized from the economy by being a government worker, or so rich they have nothing at all to fear from a bad economy.

It continues to be weird that Democrats want so bad to have sex with their cult leader. But I guess that's a central part of the cult thing.

239 PS - This is completely out of the blue and nothing whatsoever to do with vagina squirrels, but did you ever figure out what was causing that nasty infection? I hope it's healed up! Lol. Thanks for asking. No, never found out. Doc only did a culture for staph cause he was convinced that was what it was (and full spectrum tests are expensive) and that culture came back negative. Went and saw the surgeon on Monday. He said it was healing slowly, moreso than you would expect, but that it was healing and no cause for alarm. It's almost fully healed now. Small scab from lancing and a very small bump under the skin is all that's left.

I'm a cancer survivor.  Once a year I go back to the radiation oncologist so he can stick a camera down my nose and (thank God) tell me I'm good to go for another year.    In our discussion, he told me that the incidence of oral cancers from HPV has skyrocketed in the last decade.  I asked him why, and he said "promiscuous oral sex".   He's toying with the idea of advocating the vaccine for boys as well.

I tried to apologize, but to no avail. The natives were rude, hostile, called me nasty names, and generally made me feel unwelcome. Apologizing only seemed to rile them up more. Female comics can be fantastic. There have been many of them. Lucile Ball, Carol Burnett. Jeanne Robertson is one of the funiest commedians going right now, male or female. And she also does it cleanly, as in family friendly, without resort to f-bombs, "cutting edge" sexual issues, hip politicizations, etc. I.e., "Cosby" style. Note: this is much, much harder to pull off well. Making good broad-based appeal is an order of magnitude harder than simply appealing to niches. Problem is, this sort of thing is not in style.
