A friend of mine - Scott Lane - was a bit player in this horrible flick starring Richard Burton and OJ Simpson. He said Liz would show up and they would get drunk and start fighting and then blow it out in the trailer.....

28 Lindsay Lohan is actually a talented actress, more so than many of her contemporaries. After watching her on SNL, when she was only 17, and they dedicated entire skits to her breasts, it's no wonder she became a really self-conscious young woman. Her parents are completely effed up and are now doing their best to eff up their younger daughter.

If Lohan has managed to kick her addictions, and indications are that she has, then that is a hell of an accomplishment.

She has the potential to completely turn her life and career around with a movie such as this and I hope she kicks ass doing it.

I blame it less on judgemental chickism and more on a fame-whore for a mother, another fame-whore for a father, and absolutely no one who gave a rat's ass about Lindsay herself. It's a shame; she was a great starlet.

The lucky ones go through their "bad" phase, cool their heels for a few years, then come back stronger than ever. Look at Keifer Sutherland. The unlucky ones end up strung out the rest of their lives or dead.

He made so horrifically bad movies too. The Klansman and Exorcist II come to mind. He was a terrific actor who wasted his talents. Becket and Anne of a Thousand Days are good Burton movies

Well.....if they include Elizabeth Taylor's own substance abuse years in the movie...Lohan will be have her own personal experiences to draw from.

But I think that the big problem with casting actresses to portray the movie icons like Taylor and Marilyn Monroe.....is that they were so uniquely gorgeous and had their own type of sexual attractiveness, that it is almost impossible to ever find actresses who really resemble them enough to do a good job of playing them in a movie.

I have Zulu in my Netflix queue. Recently I watched a documentary about parents who spend several months each year in search of the Hollywood dream: Going broke, putting their children through repeated rejections, stealing their childhood. I think it was called The Hollywood Complex.

I liked that Burton considered himself a workman, not an effin "artist". If he wasn't busy, he'd take pretty much any role offered. I mean, he played a guy in a coma in The Medusa Touch, speaking of bad movies.
