People would have been better off if we'd insisted that the c. 1800 Ottoman Empire had the same currency again: Tunisia, Turkey, Israel and Greece. If I could make a suggestion, think about success you've had in your career in the past and be ready to talk about them in detail at the interview.
As a hiring manager, few things made me want to hire a candidate more then hearing what they had proven they could do. And if you can tie it to the new company yourself, all the better.

They had my husband's computer for 3 days, charged me $75 to look at it. Then told me the hard drive was hosed and it would cost $800 to send it out to 'try' to get data off of it. I told them no thanks and took it to a local mom and pop. $100 bucks and it is still running fine.....2 years later.

Monday, the surgery takes place Monday. I'll be taking off part of the day to sit in the hospital waiting room which has to be one of the most miserable places on earth.
Looks like it's on the kidney, about 5.2 centimeters. That's all we know. When they get in there are cut it out, they will then know if it had spread anywhere else. They don't see anything on the CT, MRI or whatever other tests they did, but the Doctor's said they'll have a definitive answer when they get in there.

It looks like they caught it early. It was an accidental find. He was having a CT scan for other problems and a doctor caught it.
As long as it hasn't spread anywhere else or to a lymph node, then I think he should be fine. Or at least that's my uneducated understanding.

While I love the ONT, I have to wonder... since the number of admittedly scant and lacking ONTs is so numerous, would it not be easier to just announce longer ones as a celebratory thing? Like, " Hey its another usual ONT for the 'Rons and 'Ronettes." My candidate. He's in favor of gay marriage being legal. So I tried to give him a true, but nuanced answer. Essentially, splitting the difference.
It would have taken ten seconds to deliver the line, but he took two minutes talking about his Catholic faith and then how he had to support it. It was like listening to Nancy Pelosi.
The line I wrote:

He was in a pretty standard late '60s British blues-rock band. They were moderately successful, but not ready to give up their day jobs yet.
Iomme was working in a machine shop by day, and one day he had an accident and lost the tips of the middle and ring fingers on his right hand.
That would've been the end for most people with dreams of being a rock guitarist. But he was determined to find a way to keep playing. He refused to give up on his dream.
He spent several weeks working his ass off trying different guitar setups, and ways of playing, and he found an odd sound he liked with softer banjo strings and a slower, louder, more plodding playing style.
He got the band together to show them what he'd discovered. They were a little iffy at first, but they liked him and wanted to keep working with him if at all possible. The bassplayer liked this unique sound, and knew right away how to work with it. He helped get the rest of the band on board.
The result was Black Sabbath.

Last I heard, $28-$35, but they'll take as much as they can. Ridiculous amounts of the stock out there -- $35 would value the company at $96B.
Always remember, it's not what the share price is, it's how much the fraction of the company is. Warren Buffett's conglomerate Berkshire Hathaway has a market cap of about $204B -- just a wee bit more than twice what they're hoping for at Facebook -- but the shares are $122,950 each.....there's just far fewer of them. It should also be noted that BH owns real companies -- Geico Insurance, Burlington Northern Railroad, See's Candy, Dairy Queen.... -- where Facebook has a bunch of fanboys going "OMG! Did you see Debbie's pic?!?!?!"

Right now is a lousy time to invest in the markets, because the people making money are the ones furthest in bed with the government, and the split between inside and outside is +150/-50.

Observation about strong feelings -- ever had a serious breakup? Someone once worded it that "the opposite of love is not hate, the opposite of love is apathy." The theory is that love and hate are two really strong emotions that are actually close together, and switching from one to the other only takes disappointment, infidelity, etc.
So, question: what is the probability between 0.0 and 1.0 that Rove's strategy is too meek? What if the right strategy is to try to get members of the deep base to throw completely to the other side?

I do the same thing. You don't want to end up feeling that they owe you, and if they can't pay you back later, and you decided you don't care about getting paid back, they might feel so awkward and shamed about it that now they avoid you, and you've lost a friend or family member.
My personal opinion? Mother & father. Gave me life. Fed, clothed & protected me from the day I was born until I was 18. They never asked for me to pay them back.
They owe me? Pay me back? I'm almost 50. Couldn't come close to making it even. To this day. If I have it & they need it, there's not even a question.

we are thinking alike. if there is not a transaction large enough to trigger the reporting requirements at the financial institution where the cash was removed, (I believe the number used to be 10K), then there is no way anyone but family members would ever know that cash changed hands within a family.
