— Ace From LauraW, or how she drunkenly spells it, "@laurww."
I admire her refusal to correct that. I don't like correcting misspellings either.
Then again, I try to get my own name right.
But I Can Still Sneak In The 1 PM Gallup Update: Romney +1 from yesterday, 49-47 with likely voters.

Don't if this was mentioned, from Buzzfeed"
So why hasnÂ’t [Benghazi] yet captured the collective media mind? Republican critics make the case that itÂ’s the pro-Obama main-stream media at work again, and the Republican National Committee has kept up a steady stream of product, making the case that Benghazi should be a much bigger issue.
And they might have a point — more than a few members of the media covering the story have privately wondered whether the widespread editorial disinterest can be chalked up to Big Media’s preference for Obama.
Certainly, it's hard to imagine that under a Bush administration it would be treated the same. If this kind of catastrophic attack — and cover-up — had happened in 2004 or 2008, it would have likely dominated presidential debates and re-shaped election coverage.

Given that this bunch operates under the "Shiny Object/Look, Squirrel!" strategy, I wonder what distraction they'll try to roll out next. It seems like it would have to be pretty big considering the way things are falling apart for them, and that concerns me.

Anyone here live in GA, specifically the 2nd Cong. District? My old C.O., or "B.C." as we call them in Artillery, Colonel House, just won a run-off election and is facing Sanford Bishop Jr., a 20-year Congress critter and proud member of the Congressional Black Caucus. 3 Just barely managed to avoid a high speed crash this morning. Not my favorite way to start the day, but rates higher than actually participating in a high speed crash.
Stays with you for a while, doesn't it.
I think the reason why those big interstate bridges that go on forever creep me out so much...is because there's not much shoulder.
There's nowhere to go, if a crash starts happening.

I'm patting myself on the back for doing a political phone survey last night. I figure I speak for thousands when I do that, and the polls can help the fund-raising.
This one sounded like it was being done by the Republican trying to unseat our House member (it's tied up in the polls). There were a couple of questions that were kind of biased, about ObamaCare.
Interestingly, they asked whether I had heard of various politicians, and whether I had a favorable or unfavorable view of them: Obama, Biden, Romney, Ryan, my House member, her opponent. They also asked things like how interested I was in the election, how likely to vote, etc.
They also wanted to know how I was going to vote for Pres and Congress (Senate and House).
So I gave them an earful of good news, and actually thanked the survey taker at the end.

My comment to the lying NPR:
Biden told two "whoppers", contrary to NPR reporting this morning. One - about his votes on Iraq and Afghanistan - was an outright lie. The the second was that the White House ("We") didn't know about the facts of the terrorist attacks when we claimed it was a video - has been refuted by the WH itself this morning, with the special twist that most in the lapdog media are now allowing them to claim that Biden was referring only to himself.
Oh yeah, I forgot, Biden is an habitual user of the the regal "we", as in "Today, we once again demonstrate that no lie is so egregious that we cannot escape from it unscathed and unbothered, as we have the lapdog media correcting them for us as one of the key competencies of their trade, much as a whore might, unasked, routinely perform various sexual services for her pimp to remain in good standing."

137 OK, Chris Moody, who seems to be a good journo from Yahoo, tweeted pictures of booze bottles last night from the "goody bags" the journalists covering the debate received.
What the EFF? Why are reporters being treated like guests to a Hollywood awards ceremony?

------------
Cavuto was talking about that last night.
He said that the Kentucky Bourbon...and beer...were "flowing freely".
The way that he said it, implied that a lot of people were getting sloshed.
Apparently, they were giving away bottles of Bourbon...and there were complementary kegs set up.
Kinda strange, for a political debate.

That's just the thing. Ryan did his job. He got the facts out there, showed himself as serious and sober, everything that Biden is not. That's all he really had to do. To anyone who already knows the facts (even sort of) Ryan won in a landslide. To LIVs, it may be a more narrow decision, either way.
But, today, no one is talking about Ryan. They're all talking about Biden. And they're not saying (with the exceptions of some trolls) "Oh, man, Biden won!" They're saying, "Oh, crap, what did he say?"
The whole day has been given over to trying to "defend," "explain," and walk-back one answer to one question.

frank luntz interviewed a panel of low information voters / independents
/ biden bus-mates. Sometimes I wonder if we need a poll tax or some
kind of intelligence test, those people should not be allowed out alone
much less given a vote.
------
Keep the chad holes round, but give them a choice of trying to use 4 different shaped pegs, and a five minute limit. That should eliminate about half of them from voting.

It's the only thing that gets them to cover Biden.

180...wheat someone told me last night that FOX also had the split screen.
Tasker...I had the wide-awakes last night, so I watched the replay on Fox.
They did have a good amount of it on split screen.
But not all of it.

Exactly. People have made up their minds and didn't waste their time. All Joe Biden did last night was piss people off (see Catholics) or convince everyone but hard-core Democrats that he's crazy.

It is a freezing cold autumn night in Ohio, but as an expectant crowd gathers under one of the Buckeye state's famous big skies it is suddenly evident that Mitt Romney's new-found bounce isn't confined to the opinion polls.
======
From the Telegraph.
Rather fair, though he tries to rain on the parade with a bit about how many people don't have a yard sign. There's a reason they don't even though they are willing to take time off from work to attend a political rally.

Because they know he lost.
Oh, they were slapping each other on the back last night, having a good ol' time.
But this morning, instead of "Biden Crushes Ryan" headlines, all they got were, "Biden is an Ass" headlines.
They know, deep down (though they won't admit it) that Gore's sighing lost him the Presidency.
And they know, deep down, that this was way, way worse than a few impolite sighs.
By this afternoon, or Sunday, you watch, the media will be trying to change the subject.
And that is how you'll know that they know Biden was a Hindenburg Disaster.

a bunch a fuckin dopes. Where does he find these drones? It seems to me
that if you are willing to go out of way to get on TV you should be
coherent enough to complete a thought.
Hey, they don't call them Luntz' dunces for nothing.
