Unfortunately, subtlety does not pay. Just say it, but it would be in a different ad, not this one, because this one is about religious freedom and Obama and the Democrats stepping all over it. Something like President Obama came into office saying that he would repair broken friendships - but instead, he insulted some of our best allies. Not only did he fail to repair our relationships, he took good ones and broke them. This could be a theme. For everything. That would go along with this them - Obama does not share your values. That's about as good as "he doesn't care about people like you." He doesn't share your values.

It's a good ad.

It subtly converges the significance of Romney's visit to Poland, with the fact that the Pope is from Poland....and with Barky's war on religion and religious freedom.

I think that this may be the extent of hard-hitting rhetoric that we can expect from Romney.

Which is not very brutal at all.

Romney was more brutal towards his opponents in the primaries, than he is being towards Barky and the Dems.

Which is why he needs to pick a fighter as his VP.

If Romney's not going to fight hard.....then at least give us a VP who will do it.

The new Archbishop of Baltimore gave an interview about a month ago where he said words to the effect of, "I do not understand why people who do not believe in what the Church teaches still stay in the Church."

The Pope gave an interview a year ago where he agreed that we'll probably have to accept a smaller Church and keep only faithful Catholics in it.

I do think that Republicans share some blame for Catholics generally leaning Democrat. I've seen right wing forums (H.A., for one) where Protestant posters are more concern with being right about their faith than winning elections. Talk about short-sighted.
