The governmentÂ’s chief spending watchdogs have already secured nearly 600 convictions and judgments against people and companies accused of misusing stimulus funds and have a whopping 1,900 investigations currently open into possible wrongdoing, officials say.
The wave of scrutiny more than three years after the American Recovery and Reinvestment Act was passed by Congress early in the Obama administration means the question of how money was managed early in the program is certain to extend well into the next year as many of the current investigations come to conclusion.

Bissinger wasn't prepared from the attacks that came from his own side, much like Lovitz. The teenaged girl who was harassed and abused by her teacher for wearing a Romney T-shirt was a Philly high schooler, he should have known what what he was in for. I'm just curious what his radiomate Michael Smerconish thinks, he who is so self-consciously and meticulously "independent".
Too bad ARlen Specter croaked out before his next stand-up gig at the Media Theatre.

Yes, on the 7th I want to celebrate Romney's election, and on the 8th I want to celebrate a rejuvenated Rick Perry's candidacy announcement (or someone of comparable conservative cred). We have to keep the pressure on Mitt to do the right things, however unpopular they are with the media.

This is the last paragraph from the WaPo poll today...LOL!! You have to love this, WaPo covering their butts:
"Partisan identification fluctuates from poll to poll as basic orientations shift and with the sampling variability that accompanies each randomly selected sample of voters. In the current poll, Democrats outnumber Republicans by nine percentage points among likely voters; the previous three Post-ABC polls had three-, six- and five-percentage-point edges for Democrats. The presidential contest would now be neck and neck nationally with any of these margins."
So with a PLUS 9 (that they magically increased this poll...)...so if it is 3, 5 or 6 ROMNEY WOULD BE UP!!....LOL!! So they had to get to plus 9...Boy if you believe that I have a beachfront property on the moon to sell you!! But it was randomly selected...LOL!! I guess the headline was not important to throw Obama a false hope? Dream on ABC/WaPo...every other national poll is showing the opposite UNLESS you move the DEM sample Plus 9, 10, 11 or 12...
Cover for the election for ABC/WaPo..WE SAID IT WAS JUST A RANDOM SAMPLE.....To have the nerve to publish 28 percent Repu...IS EMBARRASSING when the Repu are jazzed. Obama has falling numbers in Oregon, California, Wash and CT...but this PLUS 9 is RANDOM!!....BS!!!!!!!!
WaPo deliberately put that last paragraph in to COVER THEIR BUTTS!!

Nope. Choom Boy has been busy making sure that areas in at least four states aren't sending out absentee ballots to the military, per the latest story at Breitbart.
My guess, based only on what I've seen Democrats do, is that this is the tip of a very large iceberg and, like so many assaults on our freedoms, is being directed by the Traitor-in-Chief and his co-conspirators.
This should result in arrests, convictions and jail time. Instead, the MFM will ignore it in favor of more stories glorifying the Chicago Jesus.

That's true. Nationalist movements have a history of getting out of control. With the influx of ME and Islamist elements into Europe and the demands they place on their hosts, it's easy to see how this one got ignited. People eventually become gealous of their own cultures expecially when parasitic cultures eat away at them. That fire is fueled by arrogant and heavy handed "enlightened" ruling classes who impose their wisdom of globalization and tolerance on those they rule over.

Yes. 'Life' tends to go a little wicky wacky as such movements pick up steam. Dangerous to everybody via unintended consequences - not just their targets. I also think this movement will pick up steam (as those kids in vid have little choice beyond 'extinction') and spread, though I'm unclear about what their immediate future might look like as 'a movement' goes...
After watching that vid twice, I can kinda see where they're coming from. But I detect too much "hipsterism" and anger for it to work effectively. And the Lambda insignia appears too much like the anarchist "A" for my taste. That migh work for France, but since I'm not French...
If they're trying to emulate our Tea Party, they've failed. Our political system can be changed from the inside, as the '010 midterms showed. We just need to get the right people into office, and we've made great strides in a short length of time toward that goal.
Having said that, the acknowledgement that muticulturalism is a failure is a good one, and anyone with two functioning neurons already knows it. It's a front for global socialism that seeks to destroy any sense of nationality, and with it, any and all freedom.

That's right. Romney is supposed to pull a page out of the McCain 2008 playbook and simply act like he's just happy to be the GOP nominee and lose the election with grace. Ironically, the media never seems to run these types of stories blaming the opposing party for talking down the economy when the incumbent is a Republican (e.g., 2004 election).

Imo, a movement of this kind was bound to emerge. The economic circumstances almost demand it. I'm actually a little surprised that it took so long. If the economic crises continues and young people continue to have problems finding work, the sentiment behind this movement will continue to grow, imo. Europe has a history of these kinds of movements and no matter how nobly they begin, they also have a history of "unpleasantness".

I was thinking about this back in 08 - that there would eventually be a swing back to the conservative spectrum. The concern I have is two-fold. One, in that it will be equal in intensity to leftward push of the last 40 years. Second, it won't actually be 'conservative.' Theoretically I would say there is little danger from an actual 'conservative' swing. The scary part is the potential reaction from those who see 'conservative' only through the prism of it being reflexively 'anti-progressive' instead of properly 'anti-statist.' I could easily see us adopting positions that are really leftist (MORE state control) to enforce positions that appear 'right-leaning' on the surface. Going to 'war' against group X may or may not be a bad thing, but it turns out that WHY you would do so in fact makes all the difference in the world in practice. Some of the 'purity' discussions you see here consistently get this backward.

Nora O'Donnell was on Twitter this morning saying that Obama had done 58 town halls so he probably would do well in this setting.
===========
Oh man, oh man! They really don't even know what it coming, do they? She's counting campaign stops as equivalent to a debate?
Oh, that is too good.
I said several times after the first debate not to worry about any "comeback" by Obama. That is because that was the best Obama could do--that was all of his greatest hits and applause lines from the stump shoehorned into any answer he could.
That's why he thought he won the debate--because his answers always receive rave reviews on the campaign trail.
And that is why he is going to lose this week--because he and his staff are telling themselves that, once again, the debate will be just like a campaign rally.
Expect more strawmen and watch him be surprised again that Romney is actually allowed to answer.

Posted by: EC at October 15, 2012 06:41 AM (GQ8sn)
It was a joke.
That said, filled at the last possible moment, it would stay intact "long enough" which is all that matters. Well, maybe you'd use a regular balloon instead of a water balloon (since regular balloons are a little thicker).

It is far from certain the Romney will be allowed to answer. The combination of Candy Crowley and a "selected" audience works against that.
That Romney wiped the floor with Choom Boy last time is akin to a miracle. Even with a marked deck, the pre-chosen "loser" can sometimes win.
Your basic premise is unassailable. The Traitor-in-Chief has no ammunition in a truth-based situation. But he does have certain things going for him -- being Democrat, a minority and a quasi-religious figure over whom the lefties swoon.
If indeed truth carries the debate, Romney will again make Osama Obama look like the incompetent America-hater he really is.

I think two things are going on with the clintons: 1) they are trying to figure how how much evidence exists regarding how hillary screwed up, 2) once they know what they have to counter regarding that evidence, they will then start feeding their version of the evidence to their media pets. Of course, they will try to time it to do the most damage, but they are running out of time.
One thing is certain, in any election year, the people in power need to have their ducks in a row on 9/11 anniversaries. Any 9/11 incident feeds right into the time when the election is heating up.

Seriously, even if you accept that most people are pro-choice, they don't either know or fully realize that their tax money is being spent on abortions but is funding one particular organization. Lotsa pro-choice people are actually pro...choice inasmuch as they don't want to be forced to be a party to abortions.
Yes, Barack, remind people that they are actually paying for abortion companies to stay in business. Remind people that in the era of one trillion dollar deficits (not to mention debt) that they're paying to kill off the next generation (yea, eugenics!).
I mean, a good ad would be that Romney "plans to appoint judges who would overturn Roe v. Wade" (scary!). But this is awful. It's pretty much "Hooray for corporate welfare, as long as they off kids."
He's not really energizing his base, he's really energizing the right and turning off moderates.

Heh. Yeah, that's kinda assumed. But Hillary taking the fall for this would tarnish his legacy, the one in his mind, so it's game on.
Yeah, ol' Billy Jeff Cliton is kinda between a rock and a hard place. I don't see how teh Hildabeast gets out of this unscathed. And you just know BJC wants to be the First Lady in '016.
OTOH, the architects of the NWO must be shitting themselves at the prospects of the Clitons and TFG without power. George Soros, I'm looking at you.

While Biden alluded (during his sneer-fest) that they were sort of above the fray regarding who was on first or security issues at embassies or consulates, there is the sticky wicket of the Jerusalem Press article on 9/4/12 stating Egypt had issued a warnings of attacks (likely on 9/11) for Israeli and US embassies. There was a national security briefing that The Won attended on 9/5/12. You would sorta assume they "might" have discussed this when he and Biden weren't having contests to see who could belch the loudest. The WH calendar of events does not have The Won attended any further Presidential briefings from 9/5/12 to 9/14/12.
He had his priorities on 9/12/12 after announcing, from Rose Garden with Hillary, that four Americans were dead...he was going to Vegas! And he did, within four hours after this announcement he was zipping to Las Vegas for a fund raiser.
They are doing everything they can to throw the State Dept (Hillary) and "intelligence" or CIA under the bus. And I hope this backfires spectacularly onto the WH and Barry, Boor Biden, and that mean Cutter woman (who must be the stand-in for Debbie Washerwoman).

Ames, where probably all of the Vilsack signs have gone. Bright red, though, good signage choice.
The Obama/Biden signs are a greenish blue and "Obama/Biden" is in small type.

Petraeus did not push the story but he definitely has been absent in providing any clarification. Petraeus is acting as a good soldier for his commander in chief and not contradicting the WH at this time. I suspect he is also weighing his options as Hillary is doing.
Just my opinion but keep in mind that I have stayed at a Holiday Inn once or twice.

Erie's like a slightly oversized small town. I was there a couple months ago to see Lee Konitz one last time before he kicks off at their jazz festival, which is as understated and family friendly as any of those type of things I've experienced. People there tend to be very easy going from what I've seen.
