Bleg: 15 days. Fifteen. The stimulus, cash for clunkers, Solyndra, Fast and Furious, Obamacare, the US aided attempted coup in Honduras(forgot about that one, huh?), Egypt, Syria, Libya, Ambassador Stephens, blaming a youtube video, the bowing before foreign leaders, sequestration, etc. The list goes on. There are a million reasons not to vote for Obama this year. There are trillions of reasons to volunteer to help elect Romney.
As Gabe mentioned, the campaign is now in GOTV mode. In 2008 all the polls had Obama ahead at this point and Obama comfortably won the election. Well all the polls have this race as being tied or Romney ahead by a few. It is a close election. It will be a close election up until November 6th. We will win if we turn out more of our people than they do.
When watching a football game, there is nothing you can do to help your team win. You are just a spectator. You sit back, watch, and hope your team plays well. Elections are different. You can play a role. You can help your team win.
What are you doing to help? Have you signed up to be a part of Romney's election day task force? The link is right here.
If you are unable to take off election day, then are you making phone calls or going door to door? Are you doing literature drops at people's mailboxes? Have you made a donation?
Don't think short term. Not only would we oust Obama, but we'd be putting Paul Ryan on the fast track to be the next Republican President after Romney.
Do what you have to do to get yourself psyched up to volunteer. I hate making phone calls and going door to door, but that isn't stopping me from making calls and going door to door.
Follow me on Twitter I watch this for motivation.

Sort of sux that we just can't seem to get any traction in the state.
I ran into several contractors doing outside wiring work Friday.
They were down from PA, and were startled to find themselves talking to a conservative.
One of the mentioned fencing in Baltimore city, and PG county.
I suggested instead of fencing it in, we should wall it in to about the twenty foot level.
And then fill it with water.
I thought the one guy was gonna fall out of the bucket lift.

Not to mention that future presidents tend to come from being governors, not from cabinet positions/Senate.
He would kick ass at HHS, so I'm for that even though he's my governor.

Jeff Waltrip, 56, is a retired electrician and retail worker who has voted Republican all his life. But in his view Obama "has done a good job with what he was left with, and I truly believe that allowing Mitt Romney in there is going to make the world a whole lot worse than it is now."
"Right now if I had to choose it would be Obama, because he's more personable," said William Holliday, a 58-year-old retiree from Convis Township, Michigan.
Jeffrey Baker, 56, a retiree in Strong, Maine, thinks Romney's refusal to release his taxes disqualifies him. "If you can't be honest from the start, I don't want you in the Oval Office," he said.

Jesus H. Christ. Romney has released his taxes. He just didn't release what the Dems were clamoring for. They didn't get what they wanted, so he's hiding something? And, um, Barry Bongwater hasn't released anything about his very elusive past. But that's ok for these idiots. Like I said....Jesus H. Christ.

How Romney leads 1/3 of the electorate by 13 points but only leads overall by 3 eludes me. Rasmussen must be sticking with that crazy Dem +5 sample.

SOme, I think, good news. I called the local Repub headquarters about volunteering and they put me on a list because they have so many volunteers. No big deal? Well I live in Pennsylvania and it's the first time that's ever happened to me.
Also even the Philly Inquirer is saying the race between Bob Casey Jr. and Tom Smith is close. Casey's excuse...he's been busy.
And, Josh Mandel in Ohio is making it a contest against that idiot Sherrod Brown, even though those bastions of Liberalism the Cleveland Plain Dealer and Youngstown Vindicator endorsed Brown. Brown is considered the most Liberal member of the Senate and that takes some doing.

Fellow Morons:
Anyone actually sign up for the election day task force yet? I'm just curious. I'm on the fence about it for 2 reasons. 1) Me in full on Politik mode makes my wife stabby (but she'll be all in for Romney by the end of the week I predict. Plus, Meh)
More importantly 2) I have about 9 different symptoms of Social Anxiety disorder. I get nervous on the phone, hate meeting new people etc. So..erg...yeah? Should I?
3rdly (but not of my concern.) Big MO's going deep red this year apparently. So would I be wasting time better spent buying pudding?

If you're still here, there are efforts afoot to do a meet-up in the Baltimore area, Towson area to be more specific.
And it may be this Friday.
And for some reason, I keep thinking that you are in the general area.
Try to contact DCinTowson at the AoS Group if interested.
I'm a member, but can't seem to figure that whole group thing out.
And if anyone else is interested.

It's like who named Bruce Springstein The Boss?
They did fight WWII and Nazism but they gave us Social Security and when they got older and were ready to retire they gave us Medicare.
Yeah they endured the Depression but did nothing to get us out of it. (by electing FDR again and again)
They were the primary reason we were stuck in Europe, SoKorea and other places. Yet they could never summon up the nerve to go after Communism and Socialism here at home.
Frankly, calling them the greatest generation because they did run and hide during WWII is a little much considering how much damage they did to this country as the United States after the war.
There were a lot of heroes then and McGovern was one. So is any veteran who served in combat then, the rest of them; meh, not so much considering the trouble we're in now can directly be traced to decisions and programs instituted at their behest.

“DEMOCRAT DECISIONS FOR OBAMA’S LAST DAYS”
[Private and personal questions for every democrat federal employee and staffer + all military personnel: Whatever your location; however high or low your station; whatever your rank or power.]
WeÂ’ll admit that you had a h#ll of a run
That you gave it your “very best shot”
WeÂ’ll assume you believed when you started,
That Obama was something heÂ’s not.
We’ll concede “arguendo”* that your motives were pure
WeÂ’ll trust, for the moment, your vow,
That all those “ideal” plans, schemes, and demands,
Were intended to help usÂ…somehow.
But those glorious “hopes” are now victims,
To a history both costly and grim,
(Privately, you’ll still deny your “savior’s” a lie,
And our nationÂ’s imperiled by him.)
We don’t ask that you renounce your “master”,
WeÂ’d as soon ask the leopard change spots.
But we have gotten so close to “crunch time”
THAT SOME QUESTIONS ARE NOW BURNING HOT:
1. If you are asked to violate your own oath or promises of office, “for Obama”, will you?
2. If you are asked to violate rights and rules of our CONSTITUTION, “for Obama”, will you?
3. If you are asked to conceive of, carry out, support, or hide any act reasonably deemed illegal under existing law, “for Obama”, will you?
4. SPECIAL QUESTION FOR MILITARY PERSONNEL OF ALL PARTIES: If you are in the military, do you support the “rule of law” concepts underlying http://oathkeepers.org/oath/
* Arguendo = Hypothetically; for the purpose or sake of argument. A term used to assume a fact without waiving the right to question it later on.
Alternatively phrased, between now and January 21, 2013 (inauguration day) when Romney & Ryan are sworn in, are you so personally committed to Barack Obama (whether you are a White House staff member; a Member of Congress; a photo copy expert; or Â…whatever) that his demand to retain power would compel you to violate the law, including the Constitution.

FAILURE TO LAUNCH
Mitt Romney picked a bad day to launch a blistering attack on Barack Obama's foreign policy. As Romney was speaking to the annual gathering of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, charging Obama with weakness, betrayal and mendacity, NBC News and the Wall Street Journal released a new poll. It turns out that on "handling of foreign policy," Americans prefer Obama to Romney by 15 points.
Romney's principal charge against
Obama is that he has angered America's allies and emboldened its
enemies. Again, it turns out that some recently released data contradict
the claim. The Pew Foundation released one of its global surveys in
June, soliciting opinions from several countries around the world.
(looks like these PPP Assholes are busy in lots of places manufacturing polls for Teh Won)
When asked if they have "some" or a "great deal of" trust in President Obama, the numbers are overwhelmingly positive. In Britain, for example, which is Romney's first stop on his foreign tour, 80% of people trust Obama, compared with 16% who trusted George W. Bush. All countries surveyed have much higher approval ratings of America in 2012 than they did in 2008, when Bush was President. (It's fair to note that the numbers have come down from their 2009 highs, just after Obama's Inauguration, when expectations were soaring.)
In order to give substance to his claim that Obama has let down our allies, Romney dwells at length on a minor issue: the supposed humiliation of the Poles and Czechs over the building of an antimissile system. That is presumably why Romney chose to visit Poland, a country where he thinks attitudes toward Obama will be distinctly cool. That narrative is often repeated on the right. On July 23 the conservative commentator George Weigel of National Review argued that the Poles are extremely nervous about this election, worried that Obama might remain in the White House and continue his allegedly anti-Polish policies.
The Pew survey, however, gives us the numbers. Poles think Obama deserves a second term by a ratio of nearly 5 to 3. In the Czech Republic, the ratio is more than 6 to 1. It was so much easier to characterize whole countries' attitudes in the old days, when nobody did polls in them!
There are parts of the world where approval rates for Obama have dropped significantly and where America is viewed with suspicion. They include Russia, China and the countries of the Arab world. This would suggest that Obama has not given these countries what they want, thus earning their disfavor. That is precisely what Romney seems to want in his speech--approval from allies and disapproval from adversaries.
And consider the reasons Obama's ratings are low in the Arab world. The two strongest justifications given by people in every Arab country that was surveyed are, first, that he has not been fair in dealing with the Israeli-Palestinian issue, and second, that he has used drone attacks in Afghanistan and Pakistan to go after terrorists. In other words, the reason Obama has lost some of his global popularity is that he is perceived as too pro-Israeli and too hawkish.
(LOL just fucking L O L these liberals just crack me up....Delusional)
Mitt Romney is a smart man who has had much professional success. But even Republican insiders have admitted to me that he has been strangely amateurish on foreign policy. His campaign, they note, is not staffed by the obvious Republican foreign policy heavyweights--people like Robert Zoellick, Richard Armitage, Richard Haass and Stephen Hadley. As a result, he has blustered about Russia's being our greatest geopolitical adversary (actually it is a second-rate power), seems willing to start a trade war with China, is vague yet belligerent about Syria and Iran and has gone back and forth on the timetable for withdrawal from Afghanistan.
Romney faces a tough problem. President Obama is the first Democrat in nearly 50 years to enter an election with a dramatic advantage in foreign policy. (The last time was Lyndon Johnson vs. Barry Goldwater in 1964.) Unless Romney can craft a smart, strategic alternative, that gap will only get wider.
I wonder if Fareed has given serious thought to starting that rewrite of his Historic Obama the Peacemaker wins second term piece yet, or if he is too busy having panic attacks and shitting his pants as his world view crumbles around him thanks to Obumble's Foreign Policy of Peace through Pure stupidity.

I don't need any wordy post to describe the SCOAMT's foreign policy. I can do it in three words: Establish the caliphate.
