— andy Either that or he found it strangely uncomfortable being on the opposite side of an issue from the rightwing h8rz! at the Boston Globe.
He's apparently come to his senses. Somewhat.
Boston Mayor Thomas M. Menino repeated today that he doesn’t want Chick-fil-A in Boston, but he backed away from a threat to actively block the fast-food chain from setting up shop in the city.“I can’t do that. That would be interference to his rights to go there,” Menino said, referring to company president Dan Cathy, who drew the mayor’s wrath by going public with his views against same-sex marriage.
The mayor added: “I make mistakes all the time. That’s a Menino-ism.”
Finally, something we can both agree on. That part about him making mistakes all the time, I mean.
I wonder if this had anything to with the discovery by Michael Graham of Menino's prior support for the notorious gay-bashers at Chick-fil-A.
Oh, wait. Did I say Chick-fil-A? Sorry, I meant the Muslim Imam who wants to kill gays, not serve them a tasty chicken sandwich.
If you're a conservative who holds the same position on same-sex marriage that Barack Obama publicly held up until a couple of months ago, you're a bigot unworthy of even getting a business license. If you're a practitioner of the Religion of Peace™ who advocates putting gays to the sword, though, no problem.
Does anyone have a flowchart that explains the left's pecking order here? Or do they just make this shit up as they go?

Reality changes everyday with these guys. It's a very malleable feature.
Some people...some people call it nuance.
And they don't have any trouble predicting the future. It's the past that they are worried about since they try to change what they said yesterday, last week, last month, last year........

Prior to that they generally hated them. I remember NOW calling out Bush 43 as a misogynist for NOT bombing the Taliban before 2001.
However, organized gay groups are major money donors to the left...and muslims are becoming less and less useful.
If Obama wins re-election I would imagine Muslims will probably find themselves in the back of the victim bus (if not under it).
If socially leftist Romney wins though, I expect that Muslims will be more useful and time Romney does anything foreign policy related.

It does now. The LGBTBBQ gestapo has been steadily encroaching on previously sacred black territory. Why do you think Obama decided to take the risk and come out (heh! get it?) in support of gay marriage, despite how negatively homosexuality is viewed in the black community? Or why that idiot comedian guy -- Tracy Morgan? -- had to do the Apology Tour when he made an insulting remark about gays (which was a really stupid remark, btw, but less b/c it was about gay and more because it was about shooting his own son in the head. Infanticide just isn't very funny, IMO, regardless of your reasons. Maybe I'm just crazy.).

Every time there's a major war, we get great leaders from those tried in the crucible of combat. There's just no room for leftist crap out in the field.
Home schooling keeps getting bigger and more prevalent and the first big wave of kids who were home schooled are in their 20s now.

I'm waiting for the stuff Sideshow Bob wore to show up in evidence before I feel I know what he actually used. The receipt for a 'ballistic vest' released by the Aurora police was just a ballistic nylon shooter's vest, with no body armor capability at all. Besides, the graphic shows regular military gas grenades for the tear gas canister, and those were probably the 6 oz cans with locking spray tips that can be found without too much trouble. Also, while he had purchased 3000 rounds of .223 he certainly did not have it all with him. Loose sh*t, dude.

This is the exact point where the beliefs of the left split from common logic. The left isn't interested in whether you have a job or not. They only want power over everything in you life. Freedom's for me, not for thee.

Waffle fries are one of those things that are kind of tricky....I think.
The times I have made them at home, it was hard to get them perfect.
At Chick-Fil-A.....one time they were 'too hard' because I think they'd been under a heat lamp for a while.
I've never had them 'undercooked', though.
Depends on the kids operating the fryer, I would imagine.
Last night, when we ate there...the waffle fries were the best we'd ever had them....perfect.
Which was kind of amazing since they were packed, with a line out the door.

One of the things I love about America: we have the opportunity to complain about or exult over our choice of french fries. Which is better? McDonald's or Chic-Fil-A?
Suck it, third world shitholes! I like my First World problems!

I've been to these seminars also. I usually tell them in so many words that it's all bullshit and can we please stop this and go back to work.
Nothing has happened to me so far. But I'm old, and they think I have Tourettes.

After the video, the facilitator then chirped, "Now we will talk about what we learned. In this situation, Amy has many choices, some good, some not so good, and some, which are bad. So what should Amy do?"
A dear friend, who is a proud unreconstructed Marine, said, "Amy, honey, take one for the team, so we can get out of this class."
The facilitator was appalled and made the whole class stay for another hour discussing why humor was inappropriate when discussing such a serious subject.
For about two years after that when a discussion would get too boring or tedious, anyone could crack the group up just by murmuring, "What should Amy do?"

Another day traditional marriage survives. Gabe cries a little.

YÂ’all remember Antoine, right?
PS — Rod Dreher puts it a little differently…
This is all about some fake-journalism scheme dreamed up by a few extremely parochial, bourgeois anti-Christian bigots who work in the Newsweek/Daily Beast building in lower Manhattan.
ItÂ’s not about reforming a great social wrong. ItÂ’s about destroying the reputation of a restaurant whose owners are traditional Christians who share the views on marriage of half the country. (Â…)
Listen, pro-gay folks: this kind of thing is why many Christians and other social conservatives fear whatÂ’s coming.
It is not enough for many on your side to achieve your goals of legal equality.
You seek to destroy anybody who dissents, including ruining them professionally. And you have the mainstream media on your side.

And on a related note...
Gays not obsessed with sexuality or anything. Nope.

Andrew Sullivan needs another medication adjustment:
He says Sally Ride not really a hero because she didnÂ’t flaunt her lesbianism for the benefit of others (comrade.)
What is it about bright gay men and their bizarre communitarian, fascist instincts?
And after his self-beclowning re: PalinÂ’s uterus, why does he still have a job?

You keep using the word 'bright.' I do not think it means what you think it means.
