— LauraW Bonus: Dem Legislator Scores Own Goal
This law will eventually allow fracking permits to start being issued in North Carolina.
...the General Assembly has overridden Gov. Beverly Perdue's veto of a bill that sets rules and regulations for the form of shale gas production. The House voted late Monday night 72-47 in favor of overriding her veto.
Gov. Beverly Perdue's effort to block the law was foiled by the fickle finger of Fate.
A veto by North Carolina's Democratic governor was overridden Monday night because a Democrat in the state House cast the deciding vote, by accident.
--------------snip----Just after the vote, Carney's voice could be heard on her microphone, saying, "Oh, my gosh. I pushed green."
Because of Carney's blunder, a fracking bill that Gov. Beverly Perdue had vetoed is now law.
When Democrats totally screw up, they end up doing the best thing for their state and the economy at large. Funny how that works, eh.

Just goes to show - when they're trying, they screw up. When they're not paying attention, they do the right thing.
Makes me wonder - if it had been reversed (i.e. a conservative mistakenly voting left), how would the MSM cover it (and how will they cover this)?

And she could conveniently be heard on her microphone.
And rather than "Oh, my God" she refrained from taking the Lord's name in vain, as if she were on TV.
This was staged, they didn't want this to be an election-year issue, especially in the state where Obama will have his convention.

Yeah, that *is* great news.
Liberals like to keep using those old figures on "How much Oil and Gas there is in the World"......as a reason for promoting wind, solar and burning food for our energy sources.
But new discoveries are still happening.
We still do not really know exactly how much Oil and Gas deposits are out there.....only estimates, which keep getting revised.

Hmmm. On the one hand, no more being stabbed in the boob when an underwire snaps. On the other hand, one hard sneeze and fly! Be free!<<<
Sweater ponies want to run free. They weren't made to be fenced in.

It's not the fracking. No effin way will they allow cheap, abundant, domestically produced energy. THAT'S what has liberals shitting themselves.

IIRC, Sen Obama, in one of his few non-"present" votes, voted against allowing the US Coast and Geodetic Survey to pursue any attempt to "estimate" our east coast offshore oil reserves.

218.....Yeah I think they're using some new technique in Fracking which is what has all the liberals shitting themselves.
From what I understand....that new pro-Fracking docu-film, 'FrackNation', will be exploding a lot of the liberal myths about fracking.
One of those 'new techiniques' is to use all natural substances for the Fracking Fluids that are pumped down.....which destroys the liberal's objections of...."they're polluting the ground water with Fracking Fluid!"

And with Preznit Mom Jeans in office they'll sell it to the Chi-Coms like Canada had to.

Well I did it due to the high grid stress we have already seen in June, plus there are coal fired plants that will be shut down at some point, but there are many reasons to get a generator.
Shiny new generator arrived Monday and I got the last of the electrical bits I needed today at lunch.

excited I am at the possibility of losing power again for 3 days.
Showoff. I haven't gotten power back yet since Friday night. Everyone across the street had it back Saturday, nobody on my side has it yet.

Well, we used vegitable based gel for suspension and sand, mostly. I always thought that was pretty natural.

Now that I think back to my time in the oil patch, we used fresh water to frack. We sucked the water out of farm ponds.

230....So I'm not allowed to be in a good mood when I finally get a day off after 23 days of 8+ hours because some people who work retail have to work their usual shift? We do class warfare bullshit here now?
No no no.....not at all Heather Radish.
This is not what I was implying at all.
Enjoy your day off.

If you've never watched that liberal film....'Gasland'....that's one of the things it puts forth....that "Fracking Fluid polutes ground water".
That film has been used by liberal politians, as "proof"....for their arguments against Fracking.
