New Amazing Spider-Man Trailer

Rumor is that this movie is bad, bad, bad. But the trailer looks pretty good. Spider-Man is the quintessential teen superhero, with all of the angst and disrespect and arrogance that comes with. Definitely some interesting camera work in this one. And the Lizard doesn't look nearly as bad as I expected.

I do wish they'd stop calling it "the untold story." Because, um, we've heard this one before. Like . . . several times.

I'll probably see it when it comes out on DVD.

I haven't liked a single Spiderman movie yet and the star of the first three looks like a weinie. I will probably see it in bits and pieces on TV when there is absolutely nothing else going on.

37 I'll wait for the rents. I liked the first Spiderman movie with Sam Rami at the helm. I thought it was true enough to the comics despite the organic web shooters which was a Spiderman 2099 idea. Spending my money on the Avengers or Batman this year. Already saw The Hunger Games. One of those movies where you need to read the book to fill in some of the details the movie glosses over.

40 Where is the "Rhino" he was my favorite bad guy from the Saturday morning cartoons. I even thought up how he "happened" to turn into the Rhino.

You see a strongman after winning last years world championship strongman competition, get injured just before this years competition. He won't be able to compete but his evil trainer talks him into using an experimental "Rhinoceros Hormone" that turns him half man half Rhino.

Pretty good huh?

I hated, hated,, hated the first 3 Spiderman films. How the hell can you have a Spiderman that is *not* constantly wisecracking while fighting the bad guys? That's like portrayinag Clark Kent as an arrogant jock, or Steve Rogers as a goth burnout stoner

I can't remember Spider Man cracking even one reasinably good joke in any of the first 3 films. He never even really *tried*. It was pathetic.

At least that trailer showed him trying, with the "Oh no, you found my weakness, small knives" bit. That actually rang true for Spiderman. Based on that alone, I expect this version to be way better.

I used to think that CGI had a long way to go. Now I'm beginning to think it will never get there. It still looks fake. In fact, the dinosaurs in Jurassic Park twenty years ago looked more real than this.
