New Romney Ad: "These Hands: Ohio"
— Gabriel Malor

Week three of the Romney camp focusing on Obama's "you didn't build that" remark kicks off with a new ad:

The campaign will continue the "We Did Build This" events with small business owners across twelve states today.

This is what the campaign should be about. Obama's failures as a leader, his disastrous financial ideas, his empty promises, and his fundamentally hostile attitude to the people that make the U.S. econimy tick.

The more the Obamatons bleat that this is unfair, "out of context," the better off the campaign is going for Romney. Pile it on 'em.

1 Out of context my ass. The Dems have no room to complain anyway. Remember the collective freak out over "wither on the vine"?

Great Ad

3 If the poll watchers ever looked up from their polls, they might see that even those people who bought into Obamanation 4 years ago aren't talking about Obama anymore. If and when they DO talk about the upcoming election, as the Obamanites are doing themselves, it's in reaction to what Mitt is doing and saying. America has already rejected Obamaism. But it's as if these people figured out their girlfriend was a nutjob and an ugly one to boot. They're no longer responding to her texts and calls and emails and facebook postings. They're treating her as if she doesn't even exist.

Barky had an ad up during NBC telecast Sunday night 7/30 at ~9:30PM, trying to paint the elecetionas a contrast between his "my plane worked" and Romney's which is giving tax breaks to the wealthy.

I recollect that he started of his ad saying that "this is the Olympics and not politics" or some bullshit like that and then went after Romney... as well as saying he planned on bring deficits down and had a total energy package.  I thought he promised the 1st last time in 2008; and the 2nd, of course he doesn't mention his definitino of total -- or his kickbacks to his wealthy contributors in green energy.

8 Niiiice ad.

Yes, in response to polling, Obama's new campaign strategy is simply to lie. He's now claiming that events have transpired which are the exact opposite of those we have actually lived through. Debt cut, people back to work. It's amazing.

9 "You didn't build that" will be the albatross around Obama's neck.

Have you noticed that Obama hasn't given any new stump speeches?

It's because he has no retort to this, he has no accomplishments to point to, NOTHING.

12 I love the end. "Here in Ohio, We built that". Keep pounding away. Then after Obama's response show mass foreclosures, abandoned neighborhoods, business closed signs, shuttered windows, unemployment numbers. And say, "President Obama, he built that". November please come

"You, you you didn't build that."

I dunno, I guess the Gibson guitars, well, they really shouldn't be allowed to build "that".

But I'm also sure Taylor-Made SHOULD be able to build "that" so that lazy fucker can go out and fucking golf all the time.

Cuz he's on top of the world man, a gay guy who never had to do anything running things, pulling levers here and there, having big time conferences.

What a dickhead. Seriously.

16 I tremble for this country. The anger seen in Obama, Warren and the libs as they continue their assault on "the wealthy" and on success is disturbing. Also disturbing is the dishonesty of the media. Where are we heading?

19 I agree--great ad. I hope the Romney camp has a plan to bring the new energy reality into focus before the elections. It meshes perfectly with this defense of small business.

20 Anyone read Campbell Brown's WSJ column today? Takes a good swipe at the Teacher's Union culture of protecting diddlers in NYC school systems. I wonder when the waves of shock and disgust will wash across the media like with the Church and Penn St.

Just look at the flash mob posted on Drudge if you want to see what O-Vomit built. I worked Chicago last year and can verify that is exactly what it is like there.

I think what scares me more than anything is that this race is even close.

22 Ah bush-wah, Sollmann. You chose a government-titled lot, on a public-funded street, with government water and sewerage. If it weren't for building codes, nobody would need your la-di-da skilled electrical contract work. You owe, buddy. Bigtime. Pay up.

Plus, FDR invented electricity! You can look it up!
Nice electrons you got there. Be a shame if they all leaked out.

23 26 Just look at the flash mob posted on Drudge "Cho said it took police 30 minutes to reach his store after the 911 call went out" That just might have some bearing on the problem.

24 Love these ads, keep em' coming. Jam them. As far as I'm concerned, these highlight how these Democrat twits really feel about the free enterprise system and productivity. You want the leeches as your base? Own it. Own all of it.

29 This series of ads is great.  Romney needs to continue to capitalize (heh) on Obama's true beliefs about the relationship between government and the people, highlight it, draw big red circles around it, and hammer him relentlessly with it.

Pile it on 'em.

Hell yeah, pile it on.  And kick 'em while they're down.  Don't stop to help staunch the bleeding, either.  Keep slicing and dicing.  Slaughter those progressives like the sheep they are.

At least that's my fantasy.  I do believe the Republican 'leadership' would disagree, much to the Country's chagrin.

31 Time for the IRS to go- permanently. It has become nothing but a tool of political intimidation, and I can see the wisdom of the Founders on why they did NOT want an "income" tax. One thing, though- ex-IRS agents will wind up in the ranks of the permanently unemployed. Can you imagine anyone who would want to hire one?

Posted by: Tim the Enchanter at July 30, 2012 05:08 AM (izA2D)

32 Fun watching the O-nuts responses.  I know, it's early.   But perceptions are set early, and difficult to change.  So, it's a good step to show the world how Obama reacts when challenged (or caught in a lie).

33 Target #9,905,563. Obama's thugs, the IRS, NHL, and the labor dept. are going to be all over this guy. God help him, and give more strength to come out and tell the truth.

34 small typo - economy not econimy in 2nd to last paragraph

35 "This is what the campaign should be about. Obama's failures as a leader, his disastrous financial ideas, his empty promises, and his fundamentally hostile attitude to the people that make the U.S. econimy tick."

No.

IIRC you're from CA, Gabe, so let me give you a CA example: Bill Simon v. Gray Davis 2002.  Bill Simon spent the entire campaign trashing Davis, and lost.  The next year, Davis got recalled, because he really did suck, and because at that point, people got to vote 1: Do we want to be rid of Davis, 2: If so, who should replace him.  And when it was phrased like that, a solid majority wanted to be rid of Davis.

But that's not what happened in 2002, and that's not what will happen this year.  This year, the questions (and answers) are:

1: Is Obama a SCFoaMF?  Yes.

2: Is Romney better? We don't know.

Romney needs to work on that "we don't know".  He needs to introduce himself to the voters, and convince them he's acceptable.  Bill Simon didn't do that, so CA ended up with Schwarzenegger, and his Kennedy family wife.  If Romney doesn't do that, we don't have a recall to protect is from Obama next year.

Obama is stuck at 46 in the polls because just about everyone who's persuadable already knows he's a SCFoaMF.  Romney is at 45 because too many people aren't yet willing to pull the trigger for him.

Trash Obama?  Hell yes.  But don't only trash Obama.  Sell Mitt, too.

45 I love how the republicans selectively edited Obama's speech to twist his words to get the stupid people of America all riled up. If thats all that Romney has got, then he's going to lose. Romney is going lose. You are supporting a loser. Ha Ha ha. Dennis Sollmann needs to listen to the entirety of Obama's speech. Sollmann is obviously a moron.

46 I wonder how much this fat douche bag Dennis Sollmann pays his electricians when they are not working on GOVERNMENT "Prevailing Wage" Jobs that Dennis is clearly profiting from. Just how much money has Mr. Pompous fat-ass Dennis Sollmann taken from government contracts? Does he provide health care and a pension for his employees? And if so, is the package better than the IBEW? Seems like Dennis has been able to get fat from tax payer funded jobs....I hope we hear about Dennis Sollmann from former employees.
