The arrogant bastards assume that we don't have a brain and therefore lack the ability to remember shit.
It's their downfall.

Van Johnson had no problem declaring it. And Axelrod was raised and mentored by hardcore commies. That is just two of numerous Obama associates who proudly align with leftist groups.
It is amazing to me that this person could be elected to state or federal office. We've truly gone down the rabbit hole.

Why is it NOT worth pointing out? Nobody said it was a smoking gun that would be the downfall of the administration. It is just an interesting data point. It wasn't that long ago that a leftist running for high office would seek to avoid any such associations. There was a time when Democrats sought to keep communists from positions of power in this country. HUAC was started by Democrat in the 30s and stayed that way for quite a long time.

Speaking of Van Jones, has it ever been established that he was the first bona fide Communist to work directly for a sitting president? Were there others before, or is that too hard to establish? Is Van Jones' status as a commie subject to dispute?
This takes me back to last time 'round, where I had to wonder whether Obama would even have been allowed a Top Secret security clearance, given his associations and claims of past drug use.

Wow, that's pretty "out there" (and I wish I had a nickel for every time that happened!). "Positions of power"? Hell - even secretaries would have to have security clearances! It's a matter of whether your job required working with sensitive material, not a matter of how "powerful" (or important) you are!

There is no modern equivalent of an in-their-prime Borgie, or Burt Lancaster, or Gregory Peck. Maybe theres a Lee Marvin or two but I cant think of one offhand.
Nowadays its Russell Brand, Chris Rock, Sam Worthington, Vin Diesel or Maaaaaaatt Daaaaamon. No thanks.

I think he's stuck in 1983, when he graduated from Columbia's General Studies program. Just before Reagan smashed Keynes and a few years before the invincible Soviet Union crumbled under its own weight. And the great FDR's ideas were irrefutable.

A Servant When He Reigneth
Three things make earth unquiet
And four she cannot brook
The godly Agur counted them
And put them in a book --
Those Four Tremendous Curses
With which mankind is cursed;
But a Servant when He Reigneth
Old Agur entered first.
An Handmaid that is Mistress
We need not call upon.
A Fool when he is full of Meat
Will fall asleep anon.
An Odious Woman Married
May bear a babe and mend;
But a Servant when He Reigneth
Is Confusion to the end.
His feet are swift to tumult,
His hands are slow to toil,
His ears are deaf to reason,
His lips are loud in broil.
He knows no use for power
Except to show his might.
He gives no heed to judgment
Unless it prove him right.
Because he served a master
Before his Kingship came,
And hid in all disaster
Behind his master's name,
So, when his Folly opens
The unnecessary hells,
A Servant when He Reigneth
Throws the blame on some one else.
His vows are lightly spoken,
His faith is hard to bind,
His trust is easy boken,
He fears his fellow-kind.
The nearest mob will move him
To break the pledge he gave --
Oh, a Servant when he Reigneth
Is more than ever slave!

OK, you guys got me looking up stuff:
1) Henry Wallace - clearly a communist sympathizer, and progressive, but not an outright communist (and, technically, did not work for the President). (Yeah, I hadn't heard about him, and we really DID dodge a bullet!)
2) Alger Hiss - the jury is still out, but he didn't work at the White House either.
3) Van Jones - No evidence that he was an actual Communist Party member, but perhaps he WAS the first to work at the White House to describe himself as a "communist".

The nods to Marxism are lost on Obama's other demographics. They are mainly getting the "we care about da po'" shpiel. That, and physical taxpayer-funded Free Stuff.

Pretty much all the ones they had before. Some douchebag who lives near me has a "Forward" bumper sticker.
I think at some point the MSM will get frustrated and start pimping the values of socialism outright.

At least we will have reruns of him as Grandpa Munster, and Skipper on Gilligans Isle.
And later Quincy (in COLOR!)
Oh, and wasn't he McGuyver's sidekick in the 80's??
So sad..

I give Parker and Stone credit; they also tweaked Islamic sensibilities (not Islam itself) in the infamous Episode 200.
The one which their network boiled in nitric acid before broadcasting it.
(But it's the religion of peace, and stuff.)
