Obama Meets With His Cabinet For The First Time Since January
— JohnE.

This afternoon, for the first time since January 31 of this year, President Obama met with his Cabinet.

Today, President Obama convened a meeting of his Cabinet to discuss the ideas he laid out in the State of the Union. Joining the meeting was a new member of that Cabinet -- Karen Mills, the head of the Small Business Administration.

Discussing the State of the Union? Now?

Wait, wasn't Obama's last Jobs Council meeting around the same time in January? What in the hell has this guy been doing?

From MittRomney.com:

President Obama Hasn’t Made Time For His Jobs Council For 191 Days – But He’s Made Time For Many Other Activities:

President Obama Held His Last Jobs Council Meeting 191 Days Ago. (President Barack Obama, Remarks, Washington, DC, 1/17/12)

White House Press Secretary Jay Carney, On President Obama’s Missing Jobs Council: “There’s No Specific Reason, Except The President Has Obviously Got A Lot On His Plate.” “‘There’s no specific reason, except the president has obviously got a lot on his plate, but he continues to solicit and receive advice from numerous folks outside the administration about the economy about ideas that he can act on with Congress or administratively to help the economy grow and help create jobs,’ Carney said in the White House’s first on-the-record response to a POLITICO story noting the hiatus.” (Josh Gerstein, “White House: Obama’s Plate Too Full For Jobs Council,” Politico, 7/18/12)

President Obama Has Attended 117 Campaign Fundraisers Since His Last Jobs Council Meeting. (National Journal’s “Daybook,” 7/26/12)

President Obama Has Played 10 Rounds Of Golf Since His Last Jobs Council Meeting. (PolitiFact.com, 7/19/12)

Oh, right. Golf and fundraising.

If our road system was run by our Press, you'd have to drive to Seattle to get from Miami to LA, and when you arrived you'd be in Wyoming. If the banking system was run by our Press you'd keep your money in your mattress because you'd get a better rate of return and your money would be safer even if your house was on fire. If the Internet was run by our Press, you'd wish you lived in China so you could get better access to information. If our Press made cars, there would be a 3-year waiting list at the Skoda dealer.

105 Oh, piss off, dude. It was an honest question. And I'm anything but a troll around here. Posted by: Walter Freeman at July 26, 2012 07:40 PM (kqGWM) Believe it or not, I think Romney is dumb enough to want the job. Which means that while he actually makes some good happen he'll still do some stupid shit to piss me off.

Priorities, people, priorities.

" Joining the meeting was a new member of that Cabinet -- Karen Mills, the head of the Small Business Administration."

See?  Obama cares about small businesses!  3 1/2 years into his Presidency, he's asked the head of the Small Business Administration to join the Cabinet that he never meets with.  Duh, rethuglicans, like, what is your problem?

Posted by: AMartel at July 26, 2012 03:47 PM (1Bqk7)

107 Cut him some slack.  The full cabinet never meets because that's just too target-rich of an environment for the IRS to stay away.

Sensitive?

Your question....wondering about Romney spending as much time on fundraising if he is elected, as the JEF has been....

Wtf kind of question is that?

That's sort of like standing on the deck of the Titanic...and asking if there will be padded seats on the life boats.

111 After introducing themselves to each other, the cabinet was treated to a ball gargling by Davy Axelclod and Preezy Ogabe.  Afterwards, the cabinet participated in a record breaking circle jerk to  honor the commies they have trolling blogs.

Obama: I, I, I, er, a I, want me to know that I, I, er uh I  am me....oh who has the green jobs report?

Chu:  Uh um, well your Preezy sir, all the $93 millions was spent, but uh um most of the new green technology companies, well, er, uh are bankrupt.  And Preezy sir, it's all China's fault!

118 @wheatie: "Wtf kind ofquestion is that?" A question about intellectual consistency. Unless something magical happens in the next four years, then I can't imagine how the financial grind of national campaigning isn't gonna get worse, and lefties are gonna be gleefully mocking Romney along the same lines as we are Obama today. Maybe it won't matter if the economy's turned around, and no one will give a shit about constant campaigning. Whatever. It was just a passing thought, fellas. Y'all are a little quick on the troll trigger for no good reason.

Cabinet members:  Gadzuintheight

Obama: You a Mr. Chu, maybe you didn't spend enough.  They weren't made to be "too big to fail" - they were too small.

Chu:  Sorry Preezy Sir.  Meant to say billions as in more than $93 billion was spent not millions.

139 As to Walter Freeman's question -- I don't think Romney would be campaigning as much as Obama in similar circumstance. I think Obama's doing it for the ego-stroking worship as much as the money, so he works at making his personal appearances as widely-flung and excessive as possible. Romney would be more efficient, business-like if you will, with his time.

144 Since Obama is just a puppet, he don't need to attend no stinking meetings! After he was elected, he didn't meet with his cabinet for over two years. Considering who is on his cabinet, I wouldn't want to meet with them either. I don't think the Puppet And Chief even reads his speeches ahead of time. Remember when he read someone else's speech and didn't know it until the other person told him? If you had rehearsed YOUR speech, don't you think you would know if someone else's speech was given to you by mistake, after you read the first sentence?

Merovign, do me a favor:  Go out and get a Neti Pot.  Fill it with coffee (Folger's or other, your choice).  Use the Neti Pot to irrigate your sinuses according to directions.

Then you will experience what I experienced when I read your comment.
