— Ace True, he's in Iowa, so it's a local pander, and thus not quite as useless as it might seem.
Plus, he seems to think this "binder" thing is a real vote-getter.
Calling for more teachers, Pres Obama says "We donÂ’t have to collect a bunch of binders to find qualified...women ready to learn and teach."
Via @markknoller.
We're now 20 days from the election and Obama is running on a portfolio of Lily Ledbetter, Wind Energy, and binders.
And here, meanwhile, is what Romney is running on:
Seems rather... bigger, eh?
Thanks to @slublog.
The Ace of Spades Decision Desk is nearly prepared to make an early call...

Teachers are hired and paid by local taxpayers.
During the reign of Clinton, thousands of cops were hired because Clinton sent some money that way for a year or two.
But then the cash from DC dried up, and local taxpayers had to pay the freight for all those cops.
There isn't any money coming from DC to hire teachers, and local districts are cash-poor because tax revenue is down, and payments to pensions/retiree healthcare are WAY up. The public pension crisis is about to explode, and yet it's not getting a whole lotta coverage nationally.

But, no, it seems to him the problem is with organizing the resumes.
His problem is that Mitt Romney decided to take an organized approach to selecting the best candidates he could- knowing that political realities (as well as the kind of "multiple viewpoints" nature of a Governor's cabinet) meant that he had to have some women in top positions.

The Binders thing....is a joke....heck I have binders with files full of information....including one with resumes from men and women....so if I say can you pull some female resumes from the binder I sure as heck think only in the sense of who sent them....but guess what OBAMA you still have to get them out of the BINDER to see who IS QUALIFIED YOU IDIOT!
I mean uh...yeah Obama Mitt means there are little midget women tucked into binders that he pops up as needed...I mean it is insulting. Yet read the former head of Obama's Economic Adviser....a female that said she was treated LIKE A PIECE OF MEAT by the Obama Adm....Or the 18 percent less that women were paid in Obama's Adm...Does Obama really want that bought up?
Well Ace...the Fort Dodge Messenger in Iowa....near where Obama is...ENDORSED TODAY ROMNEY FOR PRESIDENT...right in time for Obama's visit. Wind Power is a loser even in Iowa...it does not have the mass consumption or mass to work...It may have limited play but it will not help.

Let's see...
Conservatives want Sesame Street to sink or swim on its own merits without taxpayer subsidies; something it could easily do given that Big Bird is richer than Croesus thanks to merchandise sales.
Regressives want to kill off Big Bird's fanbase by aborting every baby they can lay their eugenicist hands on and only grudgingly allowing the select few to be born.
You tell me which one hates Big Bird & Co.

Of those with signs, it is the usual subjects who always have some other signs in their yard - "Vote YES on 47, FOR THE CHILDREN!"
I'm certain we have a republican candidate for the senate, but so far he has decided to remain incognito. The cow Stabenow has had minimal ads, but our guy is totally absent. Even though I have decent contacts with the state GOP, I have no fucking idea what is happening.

Compound their expense and inefficiency with the very real noise pollution, constantly, driving populations of creatures including humans crazy.
The cherry on top is that the EPA is caught with blood on its hands between the whirring blades, the butchered bird flocks, and the sleep deprived populations.
And with the Kennedy Compound, we're not mentioning how damned ugly wind farms are marring the scenic view.

Oh, I know that. But that doesn't sound like what Obama was saying. He probably doesn't even realize that himself. When he said there're a lot of women out there who'd be ready to "learn," what he was saying was that there are lots of girls and women out there who are too stupid, backward, or oppressed by THE MAN to realize that they can get an education and become more than barefoot hicktown baby-factories who get beaten by their hamfisted husbands when they're not being pimped out for beer money. Because in Obama's eyes, women are dumb cows who need to be brow beaten with a cattleprod.

Anyways, the law simply allows suit to be brought 180 days following the receipt of any paycheck, allowing recovery for up to 2 years where similar discrimination had resulted in unequal pay.
So, in theory, Ms. Ledbetter could have received between $12,000 and $36,000 in compensation for 2 years of discrimination (estimate of the disparity), though she worked for the company for about 20 years. On the whole, it's a reasonable law. But it's far from revolutionary. It simply expands the time frame for obtaining some relief. That Romney didn't weigh in on it (when he apparently hadn't yet read and considered it) is a big nothing. If a modest expansion of the statute of limitations is Obama's greatest accomplishment for women, that's pretty sad.

Naturally, having changed his name yet swearing under oath to have no other alias puts a huge flaw in his legitimacy as President. The bastard is a compilation of fabrications.

They have a 30% availability rate.
All of the other fluid-based energy approaches utilize the turbine and transformers at nearly 100% until they keel over.
GE makes turbines and transformers.
GE owned NBC for years.
The 30% rate means you have to sell the actual -expensive- piece of the turbine three times.
They're only cost efficient if you include the subsidies.
They're not even cost efficient once you realize the large farms in Washington State cause peak production at times that happen to be non-peak usage hours. So much electricity that we pay British Columbia to take the excess electricity. Then we buy it back later in the day when people are actually using electricity.
Because Canadians are smart enough to use the excess electricity to pump water uphill into their/our -massive- hydrosystems (90%+ efficient!). And we're not, because we're planning on ripping the dams down and thus can't do new shit with them.

And hiring more teachers. To the left, there's no problem that cannot be solved by hiring more teachers, I've learned.

Newsbusters:
Co-host Mika Brzezinski said that domestic oil production is up, and asked her guest what the Obama administration has done that is good concerning energy.
“Well, they don’t have an energy policy,” answered Pickens. Brzezinski followed by asking if Obama has done anything to increase oil production. He replied, “It has nothing to do with the administration…We’ve gotten someplace, but it’s because of technology advanced by the industry.”
“What’s getting ready to happen to you,” offered Pickens, “the horizontal drilling and the multiple frack zones in it, that’s all going, it’s going to be exported away from America. Is that bad? No, it’s not bad. It’s an industry developed here, share with other people, develop reserves.”
“Let me tell you,” Pickens continued, “you are looking at a fundamental change in energy globally is what you have. The OPEC nations are going to have the power taken away from them that they’ve enjoyed for the last twenty years.”

What competent grown man who is supposed to be an orator of heretofore unknown skill continually uses the words "a bunch a . . ." (He can't even enunciate "of" for Pete's sake).
