Don't get me wrong because I think that's gross and weird (mostly because they pictured it) but I don't think it's porn. When I had my last baby my middle son was 8. He asked if he could nurse. I, of course, told him Certainly Not! but I still think he looked on in envy. My grandmother nursed all her children until they were 5 during the depression out in the country and they all lived and were wonderfully healthy and big. I'm a big believer in breastfeeding, but there's a normal time to let it go. It seems like so much of the media is trying to make everything mainstream weird: breastfeeding, religion, tradition. I watch too much tv, granted, but one of the channels I watch is advertising that to "celebrate" Mother's Day, they're doing a marathon of "My Mom is Obsessed," which is about neurotic moms. Another channel's doing a marathon of "Sister Wives," which is about a polygamist family. Fantastic.
Is it just me?

I am for breastfeeding and think that something is lost in the relationship if a child is not breastfed. It is natural and there is more to it than just the nutrition - though I would trust breastmilk for a child over formula, any day. But, breastfeeding appropriately.
And I would go on the assumption that these two on the cover are unrelated models put together for the photo, because there is no reason to assume anything else (even if Time claims they are really mother and son). It is, after all Time and they are looking to mainstream depravity, not to encourage fully healthy and natural breastfeeding.

I have a niece who does 'attachment parenting'. It's the breast feeding and I believe the kids sleep with her....I'm sure there's more.
Actually, if you knew the mother this girl had you'd wonder how she ending up caring about children at all.....she's the polar opposite of her mother....almost too opposite.
