Obama Told A Couple Of Howlers Today

Obama was in Wisconsin today fundraising and campaigning. He came one golf round short of hitting for the cycle.

The Obama campaign is embracing debate over President ObamaÂ’s comments this week about changing Washington from the outside, saying the strategy has been Â“a hallmark of the presidentÂ’s leadership styleÂ” while criticizing rival Mitt Romney for suggesting he could affect change on his own.
Â“This is a fundamental difference in how they would govern,Â” Obama campaign spokeswoman Jen Psaki told reporters today aboard Air Force One. Â“Mitt Romney seems to believe he can wave a magic wand and tell people what to do within the walls of Washington, and that thatÂ’s going to make change happen in this country.Â”

Oh, that's rich. President Specifics, he of "Hope and Change" fame, is going to lecture Romney about magic wands? The balls.

Next up, he offered this pathetic excuse for his unmitigated disaster of a Presidency:

President Barack Obama says change takes more than one term in the White House, more than one president and more than one party.
His message to thousands of cheering supporters at a rally in Milwaukee was a rebuke to rival Mitt Romney, who claims ObamaÂ’s policies have failed to turn the economy around.

Unfortunately for Obama, we all remember this:

If you look at the situation and say it can't be done, don't run. Or at the very least say up front, "This mess is so bad I can't promise I'll fix it in my first term."

If you take the job, however, then don't come making excuses after you don't do what you promised.

Imagine a coach who signed a four-year contract to turn around a team. Four years later he's spent tons of money on talent that didn't pan out and the team's record is worse. He wants another four years saying it's going to take a total of eight to undo all the damage his predecessor did.

Right. We're arguably in a worse position now than we were four years ago, and year four is clearly no better than year three.

That is a terrible method, the best polling is to work off the voter rolls, which is what the campaigns are doing. I guaruntee you that the internals for both campaigns is showing an outside the MOE lead for Obama.

I suspect that Romney has his path to victory nailed down right now, with the exception of Ohio. His lead there is small enough to need to worry about it.
