To this I say:
Good foreign policy is not reacting slowly and indecisively to the murder of Americans by our enemies, and should never accept one iota of a terrorist's reasoning for violence.
It would be good if Romney & Ryan would get ahead of any operations ordered by Obama and frame this correctly as a limp response to a tragedy that was easily predicted --strike that -- that actually had been predicted by all accounts. A response that started with a failure to firmly reject any limitations on our first amendment, and that misled the American people for 9 days before finally admitting the nature of the attacks.
Going after our enemies when they strike us should be a given and should be expected by the American people of their leaders.
What also is expected by us is that our leaders are providing security for us, especially when we are in an area known to be dangerous. If a president is willing to throw consulate staff to the wolves despite all indications that added security was needed, what other areas should the American people be concerned about?
This was not a failure in intelligence. It was not a failure in military or security strategy. It was a failure in fundamental security policy. The kind of policy that puts America's best in harms way with Rules of Engagement that tie our hands in deference to the sensibilities of the most barbarous religious sect the world has seen since the middle ages.
This was a direct failure by Obama and his state department. Any action in response to it is too little, too late, and will be seen by our enemies as the political posturing of a paper tiger rather than the decisive and determined retribution of a woken giant.
Retaliatory operations aimed at "justice" for our fallen should not be the measure of a president's foreign policy chops. The American people expect the bar to be set far higher, especially post 9/11.

Scary. This would not be surprising. Obama will pick up some support for attacking Libya. It would also give the MFM something good to spout about al-obama for the next 28 days to take the focus off his failure to secure the embassy in the first place. What is Mr. Obama's strategy in Libya? What are our long-term interests? What has he articulated? How would he define such an attack in the context of everything else that has happened? Is this the "new" war we need to fight? What's next?
It also looks overtly political when one views this thought the prism of events leading up to our countrymens murder. Mr. Obama and DoS denied all requests to beef up security. In fact they decreased the level of security that led up to the murders and then tried to cover up their decisions.
I am all for lighting up AQ wherever they appear. But this type of feckless, political meandering is specious and dangerous.

I'm telling you, this is all a massive Cover Hillary's Ass effort. Obama made the deal with Bill Clinton to promote and protect Hillary at all costs, so Bill would save his ass with that convention speech and TV ads. He cannot throw Hillary under the bus under any circumstances. The White House is floundering because she made this mess and they can't fix it. Obama will lose what little support he has from the hardcore Left if he bombs anyone in Libya now, and he can't afford to lose any of his base now.
He also apparenetly has a royally pissed off CIA on his hands, so I don't think he can order them to do any covert actions against the terrorists who attacked the consulate either. They've told him to shove it in so many words. Petraeus has to see the ship is sinking, and at some point he has to jump or go down with it.
And, Valerie is still telling Obama to stay the course and keep appeasing the radicals. If he bombs anyone in Libya it will cause a new round of AQ-led riots all over Africa and the Middle East, which Obama doesn;t need in the last month before the election.
So, all signs point to Obama doing exactly nothing and trying to change the subject.

These polls are skewed to keep Republicans watching the debates because
the networks make a lot of money off the commercials during those debates.
If they polls showed the

What's interesting to me here in Ohio is that for months I've been getting bombarded by Obama ads on tv. Sometimes its seemed like he had one running on every commercial break on TNT and TBS, Its what allowed me to notice the odd behavior with his "Approval" message on the ads. But today, I've seen Romney's ad at least 3 times this morning. A distinct switch in who's buying up ads.

These polls are skewed to keep Republicans watching the debates because
the networks make a lot of money off the commercials during those debates. If they polls showed the truth that Obama is kicking Romney's ass then no republicans would tune in and the networks couldn't charge as much for those commercials during debates as they do which means they wouldn't make as much money. But you all go head and believe its a horse race.

How could they possibly gain credible information, three weeks after the attack when the FBI finally got loafers on the ground? This after the Libyan consulate did not burn or delete security information as they were all dead and did not have time to follow protocol? The reporters from CNN and CBS scavenged documents left. What was taken, other than documents revealing the poor Libyans who were allies and now fear for their lives?

Yeah, I said "Attack". Those guys used that loser's video to intentionally rile up that crowd the day before, by showing it on TV, and then they "forgot" to provide any security. There were no fatalities, but American soil was violated, and our flag desecrated, that was a planned attack, too.
If that guy didn't have his video out there, they jusy would have found a different one. It's a big world, and it doesn't take much to get these psychos upset.
