Oh Boy: Zimmerman Passed Lie Detector?
— Ace

"No Deception Indicated."

According to a “confidential report” prepared by the Sanford Police Department, Zimmerman, 28, willingly submitted to a computer voice stress analyzer (CVSA) “truth verification” on February 27. Investigators concluded that he “has told substantially the complete truth in regards to this examination.”

...

Along with questions about whether his first name was George and if it was Monday, Zimmerman was asked, “Did you confront the guy you shot?’ He answered, “No.” He was also asked, “Were you in fear for your life, when you shot the guy.” Zimmerman replied, “Yes.”

Is the media pleased with itself for taking the word of left-wing bloggers (as usual) and promoting a lynchmob atmosphere on this case?

Posted by: Anal Bum cover for Elton at June 26, 2012 03:04 PM (SxJ8P)

21 Too bad they're not admissible (at least in this instance). The value of the VSA, by the way, is not so much as the result itself, but in its ability to put psychological pressure on suspects. They go through the whole drill, and then, without telling the suspect where there is any deviation from answers given and results recorded, they ask, "Is there something you need to tell us?" At that point, people under these examinations will often sing like Barney Frank's pool boy.

106 @93 well, as is being widely reported across the conservative blogosphere right now, today, obama warned the supreme court that the american people "don't want to re-legislate health care". he doesn't have a clue...he's the most visible example of cradle-to-grave liberal cocooning available to us, and tho the schadenfreude associated with his being totally out of touch is somewhat satisfying, he's unfortch the fucking president. of COURSE he's gonna play the race card...he fucking BELIEVES that shit! :/

148 are they mexican? i'm half cuban, and while i don't "despise" illegal immigrants, i am more supportive of a comprehensive plan like rubio's, and i certainly believe in the rule of law. the problem is that for every illegal immigrant working in the us, there is an american...usually NOT a recent immigrant himself...who is freely and knowledgeably employing an illegal immigrant in order to take advantage of him. who is worse? the illegal immigrant who probably wants little more than to insure his family against the ravages of third-world poverty, or the businessowner who knowingly employs illegals to further enrich himself when he's probably already a firmly entrenched member of the upper-middle-class? the issue is complex, and despising illegal immigrants doesn't really address the complexity of the problem. nevertheless, while we cubans and peurtorricans tend to be less tolerant of illegal immigration, we DO have "special status"...i think you will be HARD PRESSED to find a MEXICAN-american...especially one of relatively recent generation!...who opposes "illegal" immigration. i'm sure that probably extend to most central amiercan latino voters, but mexicans are by far the largest representative bloc, and furthermore the stratum with which i have enough experience to comfortably discuss.

150 You know what Obama and his slobbering syncophants in the MFM have done with this whole thing, don't you?  This imperial presidency, this campaign, the Trayvon assault, and most all public discourse?

They have made it so that the Right can assign racism as the underlying theme to almost every move the Left makes, and be fully justified in doing so.

Yeah.  Racism flows both ways, doesn't it?  Like the tides in estuarine waters, currents can be heavy in, heavy out, and mixed.  Seems like right now racism is flowing from Left to Right, and getting stronger.  A flood tide.

There is only one way this case can go, and it is for Zimmerman to be let free with all charges dropped.  Because of the way Obama and the MFM have set the table, the event will cause flash-bangs in the media and on the streets.  If conditions are right, or wrong depending on how you look at it, there may be rumbles in places akin to the Rodney King riots.

How will this play?  Will NBC and the usual suspects "run against the man" this time?  Will Obama "evolve" and support the rule of law, or will he side with those decrying that justice4Trayvon was stomped into the dirt by the white opressors?

Maybe I just got lucky in Oregon or maybe things are different here than in Florida. The truth is, most legal immigrants here worked hard and had a tough time getting in and they can't stand some scumbag breaking the law and sneaking in. They say it makes them look bad, they say they worked hard and so should these immigrants. They say they are Americans and they can't stand how these illegals are violating the system.
These guys are really proud to be American citizens, maybe that's the difference, I don't know. But I've found that whatever the background - Dutch, Ivory Coast, Japan, if they came over through the system legally they're even harder on illegals than people who've been here for generations.

Lawyer's card should be next to his CCW permit, and he should have said nothing without his lawyer present, nothing, esp. to his wife. Sorry, this is the conventional wisdom, but it's awfully bad advice. Lots of harm can come to one's hoped-for affirmative defense of self defense if one chooses to simply "say nothing" to responding officers. I've seen scores of cases where the fact that the defendant hadn't mentioned at the scene that he'd acted out of fear for his life was used to cast serious (and, yes, sometimes beyond a reasonable doubt) on such "self serving" claims made later with the benefit of hindsight and legal counsel. A truly innocent man doesn't say nothing . . . he says what a truly innocent man would say. "I was in fear for my life. I acted in self defense. I had no other option. My attacker's knife slid under that car, the red one, right there, that's it, you found it." THEN you politely decline to answer further questions until you've consulted with counsel. Spouting foolishly can indeed get one in unnecessary trouble. That doesn't mean that becoming mute is the optimal choice. It was, of course, idiotic for him to not know that every breath taken during a prison visit is recorded and, in his case, would be carefully reviewed.

166 the issue is complex, and despising illegal immigrants doesn't really address the complexity of the problem. Jimi, I think you'll find most of us don't despise illegal immigrants. What we despise is the useless politicians who have allowed this problem to grow to epic proportions because they have failed to act and fix major problems with how immigration is handled. You will also get a pretty emotional reaction out of many folks on this issue because billions of their hard earned tax payer dollars are being to support people who do not pay more than an extremely small percentage back into the system. You can hardly blame people for getting upset about things like that. For the most part I have nothing personal against people who came here in an attempt to make a better life for themselves. I'm all for that. They are breaking the law and that does need to be fixed/addressed, but considering the situation in Mexico if my only choice to get my family out would be to break a law or too I'd probably do the same. The problem is nobody in power wants to address the actual problem - they just want to keep kicking the can down the road. That's why it's a touchy subject for most conservatives. It has nothing to do with race or anything of the kind.

181 i think the idea that illegal immigrants are "scumbags" is misguided at best. i thought the uproar over romney's "if i was a poor immigrant..." was unbelievable...but i see even reasoned, intelligent people can fall into the "hate the outsiders" trap. it's not a far cry from liberal assumptions that southerners are all uneducated mouth-breathers, is it? the vast majority of these illegal immigrants are hardworking people who just want to escape the economic desolation of their home regimes. it may be a crime to enter the country illegally, but it's no crime to want to improve your family's station by looking to columbia. there are lots of publicised cases of illegal-immigrant scumbags in the news media, sure. these guys that have three DUIs and finally kill someone? fucking scumbags. but although the "why wasn't he deported" aspect often runs a strong current under those stories due to the if-only, prevention-wishful thinking, there are a lot of stories about fucking natural-born american scumbags with three DUIs killing someone, too. illegally crossing into america does not a scumbag make...it's rather what you do when you're here. again, i would certainly believe that there are many firmly-entrenched immigrant families that oppose illegal immigration, probably having the majority of the family that they are in contact with either settled in america or comfortable with their station within their home regimes. but i still content that the vast majority of recent immigrants from "south of the border" strongly oppose efforts to curb illegal immigration...and can you really blame them for wanting their family members to share in the prosperity that american life can offer? perhaps they aren't fully thinking through the socioeconomic repercussions of blind amnesty, but that doesn't make them scumbags by ANY means.

I don't know what motivated you to crawl onto the soapbox, but I don't see a lot of illegal immigrant hate being spewed around here.  Most Morons would agree with your statement.  What I despise is the political decision not to enforce the law and to allow America's immigration policy be run on the basis of who wants to sneak in, rather than who will  be good for America. We've abdicated control of our borders, which is dangerous and bad for the economy.

No one wants to kill illegal aliens.  The self-righteous pontificating gets tiresome.

195 Two questions pop to mind.  First, how much does the legal defense for a murder case run?  High profile, like Zimmerman.  Half a mil for the first round?  More?  Appeals can drag out for years if he's found guilty, so over a million - win-or-lose - easy, right?

Second, if you're facing murder charges and your legal defense fund contains $200,000 - would you purchase your first ocean-front estate in Monaco or the Caribbean?

My parents waited and worked for 7 years to come to this country LEGALLY and bring us kids. And then we went through the whole naturalization process. Like the vast majority of immigrants before us---(but not since)--- we took no handouts. There was no affirmative action for Hispanics went I went to college, no special scholarships that would let me go to the head of the line before Italian-Americans or German-Americans or other native born. I tip my hat to you and to your parents Margarita DeVille. I hope the next time you see them or speak with them you will tell them how incredibly lucky we are that they did decide to immigrate here because we need as many people like them and their children as we can get. The legal immigration system we have needs a serious overhaul, no doubt about it. But sadly this is one of the most important components of the problems we face it is also the one that generally gets completely ignored. Instead we seem to keep going down this road where we want to reward bad behavior and then for some reason were shocked when it promotes even more bad behavior. But I'm really happy to hear your story and the story of your parents. It gives me hope for the future.

Echo chamber is SO not what this joint is about.

As a concerned, mixed race, life long Republican, I hope that the criminal justice system will prevail. And Zimmerman will be found guilty.

Either way I'm getting myself a new big screen TV. If I can beat the cops to it, when the inevitable looting starts. And justice for Tryvon and shit.

253 @250 lol, well, in your dictionary, what do you call it when someone fills a post with insults and ad hominem personal attacks? you seem to think i'm looking for sympathy here or something. i'd rather wish some of you would have the decency to offer up objections to my views with a little less nasty. and yes, i was guilty too, but then again, i was attacked first. i'm not perfect, and it makes me really mad to see people who vote the same way as i do making a fool of themselves because they think i'm making some liberal point about amnesty without actually bothering to digest the substance of my argument. that'll make anyone a little bit snarky, i think. also, note i said it was "internet bullying" -- that's not the same as REAL bullying. real bullying is a serious and problematic issue that can have lasting repercussions for those bullied. "internet bullying" is little more than a pitiable attempt to gain some sort of upper hand through ANGRY TALK and isn't really ultimately harmful at all...except perhaps to the standard of conduct among a given commentariat. xP it's the idea of the loudest, meanest man wins. i mean, didn't ace JUST do a post on this behaviour? and here i thought it was only liberals who threw invective-laden bitch-fits when someone disagrees with them. anyway i'm sorry about capitalisation; i'm not a great typist and i have a lot of words and sometimes it's a bad mix when you're trying to put them all on the screen. i know it makes it hard to parse sentences...i have the habit of double-spacing my sentences, but i think that doesn't translate over to html. i don't intend to be rude. i guess i have myself to blame a little bit when i complain that people don't read my shit in that regards...but fine, you don't have to read it. just don't respond to it if you don't. i'm also sorry about the "oxford" spelling. english is actually my second language, and i learned it largely in an international school with emphasis on international spelling conventions. rest assured that i would never tell you i have "tyres" on my care. >.> at least there's that.

259 @257 why do you think i'm even posting here in the first place, lol? please note that i don't mean to apply "echo-chamber" to everyone. this is the only site i post on PRECISELY because it's such a ragtag bunch of self-effacing morons. there's a LOT of wit here, too -- the commentariat is a LOT quicker with the chuckle-worthy snark than at places like, say, hotair. i appreciate that kind of high-functioning bullshit -- to each his own. it's why i'm always all over ace's dick. HOWEVER! that doesn't mean that there aren't still a LOT of people who DO appear to wish that this was a right-wing echo chamber a la DailyKos, and i think i'm justified in saying that just by the preponderance of nasty attacks on people who dare to offer a slightly different opinion than the Current Party Line. still, for a site that idolises GIANTS like breitbart -- a man who, it must be said, was nearly singularly responsible for bringing conservative media into the 21st century -- there is a LOT of social-conservative intolerance in the comments section. how quickly we forget that breitbart boycotted CPAC for disinviting GOProud? i don't even LIKE GOProud...but that action should speak words to the strategy of the hardliners...breitbart's empire didn't grow so large because he only took card-carrying comers. we want to GROW the tent, guys. trying to ostracise someone who is admittedly against illegal immigration but doesn't feel the word "scumbag" should be applied to all illegal immigrants and doesn't understand the controversy behind romney saying that he would want to bring his family here if he was in a bad country is the epitome of Poor Strategic Thinking. trying to do it acting tough and aggressive behind the anonymity of the internet just makes it fucking classless. o.o stuckonstupid: i'm done trying with you. you can't make a single post without some sort of internet tough guy insult...juxtaposed right next to a heapingly self-righteous helping of sanctimony about wanting to have an "adult conversation". you are either a brilliant caricature of the internet napoleon, or a pitiable, small-minded man.

262 No, Stuck, I took that last post as conciliatory! Y'all hush now and maybe he'll calm down a little. Part that cracked me up was when he talked about how he might be a little bit to blame for us "not reading his shit." I would suggest he go back and read post #170. When he does maybe then he/she/it will understand why I consider them to be a worthless, poo throwing troll. I think that position is still justified. Also while he seems to lecture the rest of us on using Ctrl F and reading his posts, apparently he has no intention of granting us the same courtesy. So yes, I've pretty much written him off. If he grows up a bit and starts talking to us rather than at us maybe I'll give him a second look. Until then, well honestly just not much there worth responding too IMHO. But hey Tammy, love you darlin and if you'd like to try and get through, feel free.

Posted by: StuckOnStupid at June 26, 2012 04:58 PM (R5yLq)

263 Well, I agree with you in many ways regarding the bigger tent, but you're sort of coming across as tarring everyone with the same brush and also from a purely practical standpoint, you don't make the tent bigger by running all the current occupants out.

Immigration is probably the hottest button out there, I think even more so than gay issues. There are no easy solutions, but you can't just get all high and mighty and dismiss the opinions of those who have every reason to feel very bitter about the issue.

I live in a neighborhood that is full of illegals. Full. I wouldn't turn one of them in, but that doesn't mean I can't see the harm they are doing just by the sheer numbers of them straining various systems.

270 tammy: who am i running out? i said it's poor taste to consider all illegal immigrants "scumbags". now, i am QUITE HAPPY to lead the charge against the sort of person who thinks someone is a "scumbag" for dreaming of one day tasting the freedom that all of us in america are luckily enough to still enjoy. i am also QUITE HAPPY to run out anyone who thinks it's Good Political Discourse to make fifteen posts filled with schoolyard taunts and insults nudged tightly next to a call to "adult discourse" -- give me a fucking break on that one, will ya? otherwise, i don't think i've said anything that exhibits a predisposition to run ANYONE out of the tent. i'm just offering slightly alternative views to those that might be considered "mainstream" in the interest of BUILDING the tent to accommodate such views. to suggest that i EVER "got high and mighty" like (your friend stuckonstupid) or dismissed anyone else's opinion just isn't true! in fact, i MYSELF made mention to "the socioeconomic repercussions of blind amnesty" that you are referencing...not ONLY do i fully recognise the systemic necroses that are symptomatic of unchecked illegal immigration, but i'm politically on board with REASONABLE (read: NOT the obama way!) immigration reform, probably much like you yourself are. the problem here is that so many people have been quick to position me as a bleeding-heart amnesty-addicted RINO that you've all got the wrong opinion about my poilitical orientation...an opinion that could have easily been checked against my (admittedly nearly unreadable!) comments. that immigration is a hot-button topic around here is no excuse for the childish reaction that someone who thinks blind illegal hatred -- and there are PLENTY of voters on both sides of the aisle who have an irrational hatred of immigrants, even if they aren't a part of this commentariat -- is counterproductive to actually solving the PROBLEM of illegal immigration. i assume people got pissed off because i pointed out that the problem has TWO SETS of bad actors, and that by most moral standards the americans who are knowledgeably hiring and exploiting these illegal workers are really guilty of even more egregious behaviour than the immigrants -- whose "right" to flaunt the law of this country i have been clear i DO NOT support -- themselves.

Posted by: jimi ray at June 26, 2012 05:14 PM (79EF9)

271 I think Z is already in the clear, as I think we know basically what happened..

BUT, The voice stress test (CVSA) is total pseudo science crap.  There is no standard for its use.. Like the questions:  They all need to be answered 'yes', or all 'no' and the questions need to be framed in a way that will require that, and that didn't happen here.  Also, 'is your name Zimmerman' is amateur hour stuff.  That only happens in the movies.  The control questions are much more complex, or need to be.

Traditional lie detectors have some of these standards, but its mainly up to the operator to 'interpret' the results, and they make mistakes all the time.  For example, a questionable result for a question could be interpreted either way.. and some people's careers are destroyed because of false positives.  Its not science, as if you send that questionable raw data to another lie detector operator, but without the questions and answers, he'll come away with a different result.  Its a mixture of science and pseudoscience that has fooled most of the population.

Its only about 80% correct at best, which is why its not useable in court.. unless both sides agree to it which never occurs.

I had to take a lie detector as part of a job interview, and 2 questions were pegged as 'lies' by the operator.. and I wasn't lying at all.  One was about prostitutes (no joke), and I was absolutely telling the truth, and the other was something really trivial, but I wasn't lying.  I entered thinking like everyone else does.. that lie detectors don't lie, but left feeling absolutely horrified and violated.  Lie detectors aren't so much about the machine, but its use as an interrogation technique.  I got alot of "you can tell me about your problem with prostitutes... I can HELP YOU..."  hahaha riiiiight I cant believe cops think that crap works.  Its so insulting

Lie detectors should be banned and scrapped forever.  They are career ruining devices.  You have nothing to gain by taking one, even if you have nothing to hide.  If you're in trouble, they likely won't publicize the results if you pass, and claim 'its part of the investigation', but if you fail, its over.

In fact, many of the 'CSI' tools and techniques are questionable, and require a lab tech or officer to 'interpret' the results.. not like real science where no matter the raw data, any scientist in the world will see and understand the results without needing an explanation.  DNA is fool proof, and another example of the mix of science and pseudo science thats very common in the field

273 @280 i don't care what you agree with :/ tammy is a boy? i see now that stuckonstupid made a very reasonable and rational post back at 170. he never directed me there before a few posts ago...by that time, you'll have to just give me leeway, i was way too tired of the 10 posts in between that were CHOCK FULL of childish insults and mendacious mischaracterisations of my own posts that i simply couldn't be bothered to engage him. i can see from post 170 that he has every capability of having the "adult conversation" he seems to pine for -- and furthermore, he's apparently a reasoned individual. it's too bad that being on the internet made him feel like it would be ok to pull out the bully behavaiour after i failed to respond to ONE reasoned post. i don't argue with internet napoleons...and as "amicable" as you might find him, i don't think you can reasonably call any post he made at (apparently this is the wrong preposition in english??) me intervening between 170 and now even remotely "amicable", reasonable, or deserving of the slightest bit of respect. if only we were having a tabletalk conversation, i'm sure he wouldn't have been so quick to jump to the nasty insults, and i'm sure we would have ended up having an intelligent and mutually satisfactory conversation. the internet is great for bringing so many opinions together...but it doesn't have a great record on civility. i myself will FULLY admit i lost control and was guilty of being a bit nasty myself...but NOTHING to the extent of stuckonstupid. for me, you see, acting really nasty on the internet has the same sort of social repercussions as acting nasty "irl". it's a shame, too, because i'm sure i would have otherwise enjoyed conversing with stuckonstupid, now that i've seen post 170.

I doubt that because I didn't see anyone even respond to it and have never even seen it discussed here, if you mean thatt hey're mad because they hire illegals themselves, I mean.

I think we all agree that people who knowingly higher illegals are the biggest part of the problem. THAT was discussed not long ago, in fact when the ruling came out yesterday. People were furious that that part was struck down.

282 If you plan on having a discussion on a non-threaded comment forum do learn to search the page for more than phrases. Hash tags, poster names, comment numbers all work. Especially if you're going to insult people that haven't insulted you and instruct folks on how to use the find function. Take a day off from the Internet or something. Works for me. Sometimes I go days just to keep my BP in check. You never win people over by flipping them the bird. Ever.

283 "i said it's poor taste to consider all illegal immigrants 'scumbags.'"
Maybe but that's the impression I get of immigrants who came here legally and the hard way, of those who don't.
And they have some reason for being upset, given how hard it is to follow the rules. That was just my point. Being a single-topic voter, especially something that astoundingly retarded, is simply inexcusable, and I'm particularly shocked that anyone would be that dimwitted and ignorant of the damage done by what the President has done.
I'm hoping that the folks you know are few in number because the damage they can do to America by being that credulous and easily manipulated is horrific.

291 eh, one more. i've been here for like four years. i've just been posting A LOT in the past two weeks because i've been in hospital convalescing and there's only so much to occupy oneself with after one has read the entire internet. you're right, anyway, of course, and i'm embarrassed that i lost control so quickly. i'd like to blame the painkillers for giving me a shorter-than-normal temper, but that wouldn't be very personally responsible of me, now would it? xD anyway, i think the problem is that "echo-chambers: don't do much for me, even when it's my own voice that's floating around, so i only tend to post when i have an opinion somewhat contrary to the so-called party line. "if i remained silent, i'd be guilty of complicity". i think that's einstein. (jewish thinkers are so fucking RAWR.) i doubt, given the response that i've encountered to a number of my posts that are quite reasonable and devoid of the ever-so-popular internet insults, that i should ever avoid pissing off a large subset of the commentariat here just by virtue of not toeing the line...but your admonition to avoid taking the bait will be well-heeded! at the risk of sounding douchey, i;m not here for friends hur hur hur...but then i'm not here to make myself look like a childish bitch-fitter because people don't like what i say, either. so i again appreciate your patience and willingness to bring me back around. you're wrong about one thing -- stuckonstupid not being an asshole -- though. now, i'm SURE i would have enjoyed a discussion with him...i've said as much and i've been very open with my opinion that he is an apparently well-reasoned individual. again, that's the bullshit i get off on...i've probably found myself admiring his comments in the past, in fact, lol. nevertheless, if it only takes ONE POST for someone to go from "reasonable discussion" to "full-on insult-fest", ESPECIALLY when you add in the blatant hypocrisy of demanding an "Adult Conversation" in the midst of the endless ad hominem!, then that person has SERIOUS asshole issues that should be addressed with a therapist. again, it's the internet anonymity thing...how many of us who would NEVER have acted like a jerk 100 years ago mutate into cruel-minded, insulting monsters when protected from social repercussions by the anonymity of the internet? but that's obviously no excuse, and it's my loss and his that he couldn't control himself better when the mob started piping up with "dicksucker" and "fucking retated [sic]". it took him A LOT longer to "calm down" than it did me...not to mention he got nasty first, and much nastier than i ever got!...and i'm quite embarrassed even at how i lost control. if there's no excuse for me peppering my replies with some nasty snark -- and there's not -- there's even less for him *essentially* building entire posts around personal attacks. maybe he's not an asshole when he thinks people agree with him. again, devil's company. whatever. like i said before, it's both our loss, apparently, because he seems like a really smart guy, but again, with ME, i try to maintain a policy of "social repercussions" for bad behaviour on the internet...i think, until the entire community of collective internet commentariats demands a bit of civility, there's no end to the "internet tough guy" phenomenon in sight. getting away with being a dick is just too fucking delicious...we're unfortunately all humans at heart!

292 I just don't get people who condemn everyone for condemning everyone. That just makes no sense to me. How is it not you being a "purist" when you reject someone for being purist? Get out of my movement you lunatic who wants people thrown out of the movement!!
At least people who have a special issue they won't give in on are doing so out of integrity and principle rather.

294 Ah, well, tomorrow is another day, right, Stuck?? Yup, that it is. The sun will come up and go down again. Nice that it doesn't seem to concern itself much with any other extraneous nonsense.. lol

295 There's more than that.  One of the detectives was leaking info to NBC news.  He has since been "retired" or something and the NBC news correspondent has been shipped overseas.

296 Jimi ray, Just for the record, my lack of responses has nothing to do with needing time to calm down. I'm calm now and have remained so pretty much throughout. If you scroll up you'll noticed I promised Tammy I'd drop it, and I did - I respond now only in the hopes that you will perhaps be willing to accept my previous offer to chalk it up to miscommunication and move on. If not I'll understand. However I would hope that you will note that my responses to you are much as I respond to most - and when it appeared that you were not reading what I posted and continued to insist on telling me what I thought about illegals you got classified as a troll. If you have been reading here then I'm sure your well aware that I pull no punches with trolls, they get what they deserve. If you are indeed not a troll then so be it, the treatment was unwarranted. However when people do not acknowledge responses and continue to proceed from false premises and tell me how I supposedly feel about a subject after I have told them in no uncertain terms that is not how I feel, then yes I do tend to classify them as trolls and respond accordingly. If that was unwarranted then you have my apologies. Not much more I can do at this stage.

Ah, THIS.  This one is unquestionably a troll, and a remarkably stupid one, at that.

300 BTW, Trayvon is now apparently the new OJ as far as some people go, innocent all the way, persecuted for being black.

So, another national leftwing myth has been created.

And Trayvon was every bit as  "innocent"  as OJ was.

301 106: Yeah, I saw that Good Morning America bit this morning, too. After the dramatic "new evidence means bad news for George Zimmerman" intro, I tried to identify one single item that actually made Zimmerman look bad, or actually told anyone anything "new" and I couldn't find it. Basically, the cops took him in, asked him questions, were satisfied with his answers, gave him a "deception" test (I'm pretty sure that's the term they used, because I wondered what it meant) and subsequently set him free. I can only assume that by ABC's standards, being asked questions by police is somehow evidence of guilt.

Oh, and then they had an interview with some anonymous dude who claimed Zimmerman "bullied him 24-7" while they worked at CarMax. What this means and why it has anything to do with anything is left unmentioned. I guess when anonymous people make unverifiable statements of vague wrongdoing against a man, it's a prime indicator he's a violent racist murderer. And, even worse, a bully. Thanks, ABC.
