— Gabriel Malor The New York Daily News has started a new election blog, the Rumble, and yours truly will be posting there a couple times a day. Some eagle-eyed commenters in the morning post spotted it when it went up.
Today I had posts on Obama's love-hate relationship with negative SuperPAC ads, and some push back against the silly liberal idea that alternative energy isn't getting enough subsidies.
The Rumble will have three conservatives (SE Cupp, Derek Hunter, and me), three liberals (Michael Cohen, John McWhorter, and Zerlina Maxwell) and an independent-ish (Josh Greenman), and we will, allegedly, rumble.

Congrats! Please seriously consider a look at the idealogy that motivates the socialist-in-chief. Krauthamer did today, as did Limbaugh. I think more real Americans would vote against Obama if they really understood what drives him. Man, he laid some ammo for us by saying he wants to take over other industries like he did the auto industry. I think most citizens who are undicide would find that just plain friggin' un-American. Maybe the Romney camp would place more emphasis on that if it was starting to appear on the internet more.

McWhorter is an interesting guy and I wouldn't consider him an typical orthodox liberal - in some areas he's practically a conservative. He's usually struck me as an honest guy with circa 1962 liberal views which puts him outside the leftist template.
Oh and his books and Teaching Company courses on linguistics are very good as well.

And I guess that I lucky to be an American, the first in my family to go to college and along the way I met John McWhorter. John McWhorter was on Book TV a long time ago talking about his "losing the race" book, where he argues that black culture is more responsible than racism for American blacks' underachievement. He was facing a very hostile crowd and did well, even talking about how affirmative action is detrimental to those who benefit from it.

I had the same problem. I allowed NYDN cookies all through, unblocked one javascript of theirs and still couldn't get the comments. Anything else is too much for me. So I put those blocks back up and returned to full internet condom. You probably have to unblock a farcebook script or something really intrusive and nasty to get their comments. I'm not going to bother. They'd probably ban me in 10 seconds, anyway.
