— Ace Trans-Canada is going forward with the southern half of the Keystone Pipeline, because they don't need administration approval for that half.
Obama, of course, has blocked the northern half, the half that actually connects to Canadian oil fields.
So what does Obama do? He goes to where the pipeline is being built, over his objection, and claims credit.
"It takes a special kind of politician to be able to hold a photo-op for a project he’s rejected – twice – and personally lobbied members of Congress to block. The American people are in for just such a spectacle today, as the president continues his tour de farce public relations adventure," House Speaker John Boehner said on Thursday.President Barack Obama, making a campaign stop in Cushing, Okla., will declare his support for the southern section of the Keystone XL pipeline -- which will not connect to Canada's oil supply unless Obama approves the critical northern portion, which he has twice refused to do.
According to Boehner, Obama "will strain all credibility" on Thursday "by declaring his unwavering support for a private-sector project that heÂ’s single-handedly prevented from being completed."
Understand, I Didn't Bust In Your Mouth
Per se.
Bonus: Obama thinks oil costs $1.25 per barrel.
No wonder he doesn't see the problem.

There's a bottleneck at Cushing, OK. The lower half of the pipepline will alleviate that and let that flows into Cushing flow out more efficiently.

I mean, I don't watch late night comedians, so maybe they do, but something tells me they crack on Bristol and Willow Palin more often than they joke about Fluke.

She responded: 'He is an honest man. Plus, he has nothing to do with gas prices, so I don't understand why you don't like him.'
The ignorance nearly choked me.

Only thing I can come up with for the $1.25 per barrel line is the marginal cost of producing a barrel, ignoring all fixed costs, amortization, transporting, regulatory fees, environmental expenses, etc. If you take out all the related costs that actually should and do factor into the price of oil, perhaps you get a marginal cost of $1.25? Of course, with Barky never having had to deal with the real world and real business, I wouldn't be surprised if he's as surprised at the other costs as he is that his green initiatives could never produce permanent jobs.
I'm sure the MBM will find some way to explain that "the smartest President ever" wasn't wrong on this. It will be BS, but still.

Teens set kid on fire for being 'white boy'
Sunday, March 04, 2012
A 13-year-old boy who police say was doused with gasoline and lit on fire last week while walking home from school is recovering from first-degree burns to his face and head.
The boy was just two blocks from his home in Kansas City Tuesday when two teenagers began to follow him and then attacked him, his mother, Melissa Coon, said.
Police have described the suspects as black 16-year-olds, while the victim is white.
"We were told it's a hate crime," Coon told KTLA.

"Does he really think that the oil is just divided up from barrels into gallons or that distillation, processing, shipping and storage all come with costs? Is he really that ignorant on how things work?"
Why yes - yes, indeed he is. Stuff about how things "work" has never been a big interest of community organizers - and the word itself is somewhat repellant to them. They regard work the way a doctor regards disease - as something to be avoided and eliminated.

Cushing, OK is a huge oil storage depot. The southern pipeline is to connect it to the refineries on the gulf coast. The construction has been in the works for a while now. Jug Ears has nothing to do with it. They don't need his "fast track" approval I listened to the speech on local radio. It lasted no more than 10 minutes and the only applause I heard was when he made local references.
I'm pretty sure no one fainted.
Posted by: Boomer Sooner at March 22, 2012 12:26 PM (2cfUo)
1. Each state build its own section of the pipeline, keeping all parts of it completely within its borders.
2. At the northern end of each state's section of the pipeline, have a large open tank located about one foot from its border.
3. At. the southern end of each state's section of the pipeline, have a high pressure pump that shoots the oil into the open tank in the next state.
Regulatory issues rendered moot!

I put up a comment or two about this yesterday. Salazar was interviewed by Melissa Francis on FBN, and it was like the guy had been living in another country. She asked him if he agreed with the President's decision to block the pipeline, and he acted like no such thing had happened, and he didn't know what she was talking about. He babbled something about part of it already being built (which was apparently a preview into today's events).
He also added something which I think has been otherwise missed here. They're sticking with the story that "they just wanted more time to study it". They're saying they won't be done with the additional study until (do I even have to tell you?) next March.
So they're actually in full denial about trying to block the thing.

Hispanic people are....white....whenever they do something against a black person.
But you're a racist if you are against letting Hispanic illegal aliens stampede freely into this country.

Yes, alternate reality peak...
Â…my family owes our futures to him.
His health insurance reforms saved my dadÂ’s life when he had an untimely stroke after he was unemployed, and without health insurance. We were able to extend his coverage because of his work on COBRA. HeÂ’s going to college now on financial aid, also an Obama investment. My mother had two degrees, but after having children, she found that she couldnÂ’t get a job with her education. SheÂ’s supported by ObamaÂ’s reeducation funding for people in her situation.
Me? IÂ’m an indebted college student with major health problems. Because of Obamacare though, by the time IÂ’m no longer covered by my school insurance, insurance companies will no longer be allowed to reject me based on my pre-existing conditions.

Hispanic is not a race except when it is convenient for it to be one.
None of the races are races, they are political constructs.
Africa is a very diverse place. There is no country called 'Whiteia'. "Native Americans" is a term that covers many hundreds of totally distinct and diverse civilizations that span across multiple continents, making it less specific than 'asian'.

To go with the OT Zimmerman thing:
That guy better do some real jail time. You can't have some guy - even if he fancies himself to be a do-gooder - chasing people down with a gun, when he doesn't even claim they did something illegal, and shooting people dead. The guy - and everyone like him - is a threat to everyone, and acts as a poster child for the anti-2nd Amendment Nazis.
Why does everyone believe his ridiculous screwball story, anyway? It's not like we can even hear the other side of the story.

The objective here is for this case to be used against Florida's 'Stand your Ground Law' regardless of the actual events. That is why this killing/manslaughter/murder/homocide has become a national story and why it is important to make it a federal case.

"101 ... I know lots of my calculus students report answers of -4 for a problem that asks for the area of something."
Technically, when the "area under the curve" falls below the x-axis, it's considered a "negative area", just as negative yards in football means being pushed backward.
But I know what you mean. Drives me nuts when my kid puts a negative lower limit for "r" when integrating in polar coordinates. Can't have a negative distance from the origin, kid...

Too bad we are also nominating a guy who is peachy with high gas prices:
"After taking office in 2003, (Romney) combined the state’s transportation, environment, and housing departments into a single “Office for Commonwealth Development” under the command of Doug Foy, a prominent local environmentalist who was known to commute to work 20 miles by bike. Together, Romney and Foy pushed for legislation to channel new development into existing communities, thereby reducing the need for new road construction and the car dependence of Massachusetts residents. They put forward a sweeping “Climate Protection Plan” in 2004, which included, among many other things, calls for more car-pooling, public transit and tax breaks for motorists who bought hybrid vehicles. Clean energy was the future, Romney declared at a conference in 2005: “This is an industry that is going to be explosive in its growth in the next decade.” "

He also blamed it on the Chinese undercutting the market too while ignoring that the Chinese are dropping solar because even with low wages etc. in China, the things still can't make a profit in their sale.

Simple, it's not their child. If it was their child and the police just threw up there hands, I dare say they might scream bloody murder. Zimmerman called the police and should have observed from his SUV until the police arrived. He decided to confront someone who WASN'T COMMITTING A CRIME, he initiated this incident and the result is a dead young man.
I jog at night, I am a black male and if you approach me, your not a police officer and ask me what I am doing there. I might tell you to f off, you see it's not your business. If you have a problem with me being there, call the police and let them handle it. If you put your hands on me that's assault and I will beat your ass (defend myself)! If you shoot me, pray you kill me. You see, I don't know who or what your intentions are.
I understand some are put off by the fact that poverty pimps and race hustlers will exploit this, but I would like to think we are better than they are. We understand the concept of justice and letting Zimmerman walk away from this particular incident isn't it. Some of you must also realize, there are policemen that are blithering idiots. They aren't all genius super slueths you see on CSI and second even the most supposed brilliant amongst us aren't always attuned with reality, note Steven Chu-I give myself an A on gas prices!

_______________________
I think you'll find that most people agree with you that, if the facts confirm what they seem to suggest so far (that an overzealous Zimmerman followed the kid and aggressively confronted him, causing the kid to fear for his own life), then letting Zimmerman walk away is completely unacceptable.
That said, I do wish everyone would take a step back and let the investigators find whatever evidence they can find. We're still supposed to have a presumption of innocence in this country, and it's a bit early for anyone to be calling for Zimmerman's scalp.
People can express their sorrow over the young man's death, and their outrage at the senselessness of it, without prematurely condemning Zimmerman. If the evidence shows he should be charged with murder, then he should be so charged and tried by a jury, just like any other defendant.
