Obamacare.
The Tax code.
Energy Policy.
Anthropogenic Global Warming.
Listening to the various salesmen peddling servitude for Big Brother reminds me of this bit on Turbo-Encabulators.
A whole lot of high-falutin' gibberish.
The difference is that while Bud Haggart's presentation was only intended to poke a little fun at himself and the work he did, the gub'ment aims to sooth those too stupid to understand that [Dollars In] MUST be equal to or greater than [Dollars Out] for an economic plan to be viable, by providing them with a sense of intellectual superiority by association.
The gibberish reassures them, because while they aren't sure what the words mean, they are presuming that everyone else is dumber than they, and most certainly are dumber than the person spouting all the fancy words in support of an agreeable conclusion.
Without further ado, and courtesy of the IntertubesTM which never forgets, I present to you:

Language programs the interface between our brain, and how we communicate with the outside world. You CAN control societys longterm, by Programming children early in school, and by reprogramming adults through the media.
So, when Government has a Monopoly on School... and the Media 'spins' moral words in specific ways, you CAN have an effect on Society...
Note, the Left Controls BOTH.

Yeah, since Obama became King, my own ventures into the workforce have been... unfulfilling. 2 stand out. Speaking at a “Lets Move” event yesterday, First Lady Michelle Obama excitedly revealed to the crowd of children that she would be traveling to London for the 2012 Summer Olympic games.
The First Lady reminded the children participating in the event, held at American University with British Prime Minister David Cameron’s wife, Samantha, that the Olympic games were not just about “which country wins the most medals.”
“(T)he true spirit of the Games isn’t confined to just the two weeks of competition in the summer. It’s not just about who wins the Gold, right? You’ve heard that before. It’s not just about who wins the medals, right?” said Obama, according to a transcript of her remarks.
“That’s not what the Olympics are about,” she continued. “Instead, the Olympic Games are about commitment, right? It’s about determination, and, most importantly, it’s about teamwork — teamwork, right?”

I can't even get it switched off of MSNBC, a proven source of hate speech.
I got a lot of dirty looks and the cute guy started tweeting when I started talking back. "You want windmills in Chesapeake Bay?! Hows that any better than oil rigs!?!" and "Canada's not half a world away, but you won't let them sell us more of their oil!" So I didn't start the chant of "AL-GEE! AL-GEE! AL-GEE!"
(And then I had to explain to some dumb Hoosier that Iowa State is not the Hawkeyes. Sigh.)
>>if we took that 2% out of the ground, it would keep us fueled for centuries.
OK. So it was a lie of omission?
Actually, the part that pissed me off the most was he kept reading America was bad for using 20% of the world's oil production with no glimmer of acknowledgment that we produce more goods and services and innovations than 80% of the world.

Won't the slaves with the pickaxes generate a lot of carbon dioxide? -------- It'll be done by machines running on solar power generated by building a very tall glass tower over a large saltwater pond. Idea being that sunlight heats up the pond, which heats up the air above it, which rises through the tower, which is filled with windmills. And, since the pond stays warm for a while after sunset, it even works at night!!! Again, *I'm* not making this up; the idiot that wrote the book is.

If they're honest with young women about the odds of later infertility due to abortion complications, they might not sell so many abortions.

He kept repeating that we're drilling all over, never once mentioning all the drilling is on private land he can't restrict.
And that stupid strawman argument where he talks about drilling in places where there's no oil so he can sneer at the concept of drilling...

If the sackful of mail we have received from you is any indication, the story of "The Turbo-Encabulator in Industry" struck many a responsive chord. Aside from those of you who wanted to be reassured that TIME hadn't been taken in, we received the customary complaints about using too much technical jargon for the layman, observations such as "My husband says it sounds like a new motor; I say it sounds like a dictionary that has been struck by lightning"; suggestions that it "might have come out of the mouth of Danny Kaye," and plaintive queries like: "Is this good?" Wrote one bemused U.S. Navyman: "It'sh poshible." To some the turbo-encabulator sounded as though it would be a "wonderful machine for changing baby's diapers." A reader from Hoboken assumed that it would be on sale soon in Manhattan department stores. Many of you wrote in to thank us for illuminating what you have long wanted to tell your scientist friends."
In 1962 a turboencabulator data sheet was created by engineers at General Electric's Instrument Department, in West Lynn, Massachusetts. It quoted from the previous sources and was inserted into the General Electric Handbook. The turboencabulator data sheet had the same format as the other pages in the G.E. Handbook. The engineers added "Shure Stat" in "Technical Features", which was peculiar only to the Instrument Department, and included the first known graphic representation of a "manufactured" turboencabulator using parts made at the Instrument Department.

Besides keeping your tires properly inflated, you know what else would metamagically boost gasoline mileage?
Changing your muffler bearings every 5,000 miles and installing only the highest quality titanium-clad piston recoil springs.

This on the heels of slamming GOP for drill, drill, drill, and taking credit for highest domestic oil production ever. Talk about confusing the message.
Aside from not vetting Oliar in '07 + 08 and the BS reporting on OCare, this may be the 3rd biggest MFM failure/complicity ever. He should be getting epically savaged and instead gets coverage of his brackets.

The Obama campaign is hemorrhaging cash, and getting very little benefit for their spend rate. In January the campaign spent 158% of the cash it raised. If you look at each quarter, their spend rate is at least double the spend rate of the Bush 2004 reelection campaign.
When you further examine their spending patterns, they aren't spending the money on TV buys or other basic campaign efforts. Instead the money is being spent on campaign staff and fund raising venues. This becomes a vicious circle, where more and more money is being spent chasing smaller and smaller donations.
In short, this is yet another example of the serious trouble Obama is in. Despite never ending fundraisers, he is bringing in much less cash than he needs and it isn't being spent in a way that will help him win. In my opinion, his campaign knows they are going to lose, so they are just taking home paychecks for as long as they can.

Ok, I don¡¯t like to gear my material to the audience but I¡¯d like to make an exception because I was told that there is a convention of plumbers in San Francisco this week ¨C I understand about 30 of them came down to the show tonight ¨C so before I came out I worked-up a joke especially for the plumbers. Those of you who aren¡¯t plumbers probably won¡¯t get this and won¡¯t think it¡¯s funny, but I think those of you who are plumbers will really enjoy this¡Â
