How To Make Your Own eBooks And Publish Them On Amazon
It's so simple even a moron could do it - and they have. It don't cost nothing and no pants or interacting with <shudder> people are required either. So there goes that excuse. Hell just put all your blog comments together and offer it as a book - proposed title: 'Stuff a Moron Said (Vol. IV): The Snarkening'.
Sigil and Kindle Previewer are two free programs you'll need to create eBooks, so grab them now. You'll be working mainly in Sigil, but you'll need the Kindle Previewer to convert to MOBI for Amazon later. Note, there are plenty of other ways to do this - even converting directly from your blog to ePub. This is the process we use at MakeUseOf to convert our Manuals for Amazon, because it's free and allows us enough control to create exactly what we want.
You don't even have to write anything - if there's something you want to read on your Kindle or iPad, just turn it into an ebook yourself and import it. Wikipedia already supports turning articles or entire sections into ebooks.
And if you want to print a professional dead-tree version of your book, manifesto, or blackmail photo collection, try Lulu or Blurb. Lulu only charges around $22 for a qty. 1 custom paperback and it gets cheaper from there. I find that professionally printed death threats or ransom notes always get a better response since they communicate that you're serious, got teh skillz, and take pride in your work.
Hmm maybe I should upgrade/pimp-out my Marlin.
Over the last two decades the lowly .22 caliber LR (long rifle) round has become a favorite among snipers. Professional assassins (usually thugs working for organized crime) have long favored using .22 caliber (5.56mm) pistols for their work. While not a powerful round, if you shoot someone up close with a .22 caliber pistol several things should be noted.
1- The victim is dead if you shoot him in the head, which is what pros usually aim for (as these guys like to say, "two in the head and you know he's dead." )
2- There is hardly any sound if you use a silencer and not much even if you don't.
3-A 22 caliber pistol is small, even with a silencer. That makes it easier to conceal and easier to dispose of.Then in the 1990s the Russians noted that Chechen snipers were effectively using .22 LR (long rifle, them little bullets kids use to hunt squirrels and rabbits with) weapons. Inside towns and cities, the .22 LR sniper was very effective, especially since the Chechens would improvise a very workable silencer by putting a plastic bottle on the end of the rifle's barrel, with a hole in the bottom of the barrel for the bullet to exit. Using a cheap scope, Chechen snipers were very deadly at ranges of less than a hundred meters. Such ranges were pretty common in built up areas. And since you usually did not hear the shot (to the head or face, of course), you had a hard time finding the shooter.
Having suffered from these low tech .22 caliber Chechen snipers for ten years, the Russians have come out with their own professional .22 LR sniper rifle, the SV-99. This is a little heavier (at 3.8 kg/8.3 pounds) than your usual .22 LR rifle but is built for professionals.
People on the Greek island of Ikaria live far longer than most other people and stay healthier until the end. How do they do it? Answer: Olive oil, wine, napping, and sex.
The researchers followed subjects for an average of six years, measuring their diets, physical activity and how much they napped. They found that occasional napping was associated with a 12 percent reduction in the risk of coronary heart disease, but that regular napping -- at least three days weekly -- was associated with a 37 percent reduction. She also pointed out a preliminary study of Ikarian men between 65 and 100 that included the fact that 80 percent of them claimed to have sex regularly, and a quarter of that self-reported group said they were doing so with "good duration" and "achievement."

10 Documentaries Every Guy Should See
I've heard of nearly all of these and they get glowing reviews. Have I seen any of them? Sadly no although Jiro Dreams of Sushi is currently in my stack of DVDs to watch since everyone who's seen it raves about it.
Then download the game, 10000000, to your iphone. Problem solved.

Welfare is now the largest item in the federal budget, and under Barack Obama’s budget–the one that didn’t get any votes, but may nevertheless be a blueprint for the next four years–it is slated to grow another 30% in Obama’s second term. Welfare is now the largest category of federal spending; note that the figures in the chart include state contributions to federal welfare programs:

There still hasn't been a trailer or any footage from J.J. Abrams' brand new Star Trek movie, Star Trek Into Darkness. But a month from today, some lucky fans will get to see the first nine minutes of the film in IMAX theaters.
According to EW, the screenings will be in front of showings of The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey, similar to the way you saw the opening of The Dark Knight Rises before Mission Impossible: Ghost Protocol.

The ".22 caliber sniper" is a valid platform but the human head er "average watermelon" is not a good snap shot.
However if inclined to build a platform for precision .22 client service might I suggest the flat topped NoDak Spud line of 10/22 receiver sets?
http://www.nodakspud.com/NDS-22.htm
other neat things to do with a .22 rifle...
you can get a very nice totally featherweight bore and the rifle will weigh less than 3.5 pounds with an optic.
I am debating either building my son a variiation of a 10/22 as a first rifle or giving him my Swedish Mauser i call "Twinkle."
I used Twinkle to trick shoot for a while.

So get this, my husband got an offer for a great job a few months back, 30% increase and better insurance ( I have health issues). He took the job.
Now his old company is suing us for 150k and suing the company that hired him for 500k for breach of the non-compete contract.
Well aint that a bitch, first of all, they aren't a competitor, they were if anything a vendor, but good luck to them we have 300 bucks in the bank, a kid in college and my mom living with us plus our house is upside down.
His old company is pissed because they keep losing good engineers and his boss who happens to be a psychopath told him on the day he gave his notice that he would make an example of him and that he would not get a counter offer because they don't negotiate with terrorist. Well Merry fucking Christmas to you too buddy. I swear it was like working for the mob, remember that movie the Firm. Sheesh

Bright light helps it wear off and converts it into serotonin which is great for your mood the following day.

A Parable From the Gospel of Obama: Chapter 3, Verses 14 through 18
3:14 And lo a deaf man who was born without a sense of smell was in attendance at the first inaugural of The One.
3:14 And Barack scratched his itchy butthole and let the man smell his fingers and he was cured.
3:15 And then the wind was broken so that all could find solace in the cloud of those who attended The One.
3:16 Then a Unicorn appeared and shit skittles as manna from heaven.
3:17 And golden bullshit came from the mouth of The One, much like that of a golden calf, for the teleprompter was working that day.
3:18 And the multitude was sore amazed.

I go to Mykonos, Greece for sexual healing every year. I spend two months eating clams, oysters, shrimp, and baby octopus daily. A combination of these gives me a two or three hour boner just like the Greek men.
Knocking back ouzo and snorting a line of ground up oyster shell from a hairy chick's ass also is good for getting a high hard one. I'm 92 years and plan on many more happy endings.

The first step of the secession is to announce a plan to kill all the lawyers. That should solve about 99% of the problems right there. They will all head for the libtard states, where they will accelerate the ultimate demise of the blue model.

I had two GFCI receptacles in my kitchen go bad and I'm replacing them tonight, and last month I replaced three arc-fault breakers that had failed their self-tests.
If a GFCI receptacle/breaker doesn't test good, then its not providing protection against electrocutions...which is generally bad...

That's talk....a lot of mob guys say that but it is hard to do....their "favored" technique is to shoot at a 15 degree angle into the back of the skull that allows the .22 to play blender int he brainpan.
Military shooting is centered around the ribcage because of the ease of targeting, the bigger margin of error on elevation errors and the prevailing access to high order or probability hits on blood pool resevoirs.
Not that I'd know.

WASHINGTON—In David Petraeus's final days at the helm of the Central Intelligence Agency, his relations with chiefs of other U.S. agencies, including his boss, National Intelligence Director James Clapper, took a contentious turn.
At issue was whether the CIA should break its silence about its role in Benghazi, Libya, to counter criticism that increasingly was being leveled at the agency and Mr. Petraeus, said senior officials involved in the discussions.
Mr. Petraeus wanted his aides to push back hard and release their own timeline of the Sept. 11 attacks on the U.S. diplomatic compound in Benghazi and a nearby CIA safe house, seeking to set the record straight and paint the CIA's role in a more favorable light. Mr. Clapper and agencies including the Pentagon objected, but Mr. Petraeus told his aides to proceed, said the senior officials.
By all accounts, the driving force behind Mr. Petraeus's departure last Friday was the revelation about his extramarital affair with his biographer. But new details about Mr. Petraeus's last days at the CIA show the extent to which the Benghazi attacks created a climate of interagency finger-pointing. That undercut the retired four-star general's backing within the Obama administration as he struggled with the decision to resign.

I'd far prefer a Delisle Carbine Class weapon for silent surgical procedures in customer service.
.45 ACP is already a subsonic round with a good wound profile
You can mount a decent optical solution on it
It is when silenced properly literally SILENT except the action.
When i volunteered at the APG ordnance museum I got to listen to one being "fired" snap your fingers quietly.
That's it.

I've got a Crossman Phantom, it puts out a pellet at nearly 1200 fps -- faster than the speed of sound (~1125 fps), it makes a pretty loud crack as a result. It came with a scope too. I sighted it in for around 25 yards, perfect for little varmint hunting.

This has not been addressed, as far as I know. The Sandals commercials on Fox. Do they not realize they are turning business away? Not that I would go to one of their lame resorts, anyway, but I dive for the remote when that "I, had, the time of my life" music starts playing as though Bam-Bam was issuing one of his "manly" proclamations about not "besmirching" Susan Rice. You really need to take a class on reading comprehension as the pretty picture also says "under Mexican influence". Have you been to any of these states in the past few years? Have you seen how many Mexicans now live in those states? That is what "under Mexican influence" probably means.

The Northeast - run by elitists, run in a similar fashion to the present EU model. The EU would no longer exist, but the elitists would say "they didn't have the right people in charge"
Southern Tier - Run on the Texas model of free enterprise. Denigrated by others for lack of services for the poor, who migrate into the Western or Northeast for welfare services
Northern Tier - Run on the old American style of the 30's to 70's. Heavily unionized and industrialized, but run more by Chicago type political machines than Northeastern type elitists
Western Tier - Basically a northern extension of Latin America. California as it exists now with very rich enclaves surrounded by highly impoverished people who with few marketable skills, dependent on government. What passes for their middle class is a large government workforce

WV will go whatever way Virginia goes. If Virginia goes with the southern states, WV will go along. All of the coal from WV goes through Virginia to Hampton Roads. The two are joined at the hip.
I do believe Virginia would probably split in two with the Northern Virginia going with DC and Maryland, and all the rest going with the Southern states.

Presidential Policy Directive 20 establishes a broad and strict set of standards to guide the operations of federal agencies in confronting threats in cyberspace, according to several U.S. officials who have seen the classified document and are not authorized to speak on the record. The president signed it in mid-October.
The new directive is the most extensive White House effort to date to wrestle with what constitutes an “offensive” and a “defensive” action in the rapidly evolving world of cyberwar and cyberterrorism, where an attack can be launched in milliseconds by unknown assailants utilizing a circuitous route. For the first time, the directive explicitly makes a distinction between network defense and cyber-operations to guide officials charged with making often-rapid decisions when confronted with threats.
The policy also lays out a process to vet any operations outside government and defense networks and ensure that U.S. citizensÂ’ and foreign alliesÂ’ data and privacy are protected and international laws of war are followed.

Yes, you are 1000% right, as you usually are. This is what I posted:
"Some Russian fella predicted it about 1998, and
that it would happen in 2010. I have a feeling, he was just a couple of
years off, but his reasons are dead on.
However, what he believes the states will do, he doesn't have a good game plan for.

Posted by: MrCaniac at November 14, 2012 11:25 PM (Ohhk6)"
I stated that he doesn't have any idea as to what the states would actually do, and how the states view themselves regionally.
In another post I did say that those southern states would be under Mexican influence? Anywhere you go in the South these days, you are more likely to have to speak Spanish to just order a fucking hamburger at Wendy's. That is what I mean by Mexican influence, not that the Mexican government would have any influence, but you took it to also mean that the midwestern states wouldn't be under Canadian influence. Really? If you notice, those states are lacking one critical need for international trade, deepwater ports. Canada has deepwater ports in both the Pacific and Atlantic oceans. Canada is also building a pipeline from central Canada to western Canada. To get that oil from the plains states to China and other markets, they need that pipeline, thus, Canada will have lots of influence over those states.
Now please, go back to one of your Eurocentric sites that you seem to enjoy.

The first step of the secession is to announce a plan to kill all the lawyers. That should solve about 99% of the problems right there. They will all head for the libtard states, where they will accelerate the ultimate demise of the blue model.
Posted by: GnuBreed at November 14, 2012 10:20 PM (ccXZP)
Don't forget to kill anyone who *suggests* we need lawyers.
Also, the new constitution needs to have a clause that anyone that suggests something that is not on the list of 'shit of the only things the government is allowed to do' is immediately put to death.
And, if the debt ever exceeds 10% of GDP, all politicians shall be thrown out of office and killed. Not necessarily in that order.

Yep. But disagreements do happen, and I really don't see the country breaking into 4 parts, 3 parts would be more like it. The southern/plains to Canada, the New England/Mid Atlantic, and the West coast states. As a matter of fact, I could see British Columbia joining the West coast states, Ontario east joining the New England states, Quebec fucking off, and the plains of Canada joining the Southern/Plains states of the US.
Basically the energy and agriculture economies joining together.

We already have a constitution that worked very well for a long time. We just need to add one amendment, all precedents from cases prior to the new government are null and void. I.E., Marbury v Madison is DEAD DEAD DEAD.
12 years in Senate, 12 in House. Judges get 12 years, then they go back up for re-confirmation. Good ones stay, bad ones go. No income tax, National sales tax. Capitol in Memphis, and the Capitol building will not be air conditioned.

They promise this every time but somehow the amnesty goes through but the securing of the border doesn't.
The MSM is correct when they say the majority of Americans support amnesty of some sort for illegals. Of course they leave off that they also want the border closed and protocols put in place to track guest visa and student visa visitors.
Seems that physical fence actually does a pretty good job. Of course you won't hear about it BECAUSE NOTHING HAPPENS.
I also love how they use the numbers of STOPS the border patrol makes as some kind of indicator that illegal immigration has slowed. (well it actually has slowed now that we're in a depression)
Lower stop levels just means the Border Patrol hasn't caught them doesn't mean no one crossed.
Close the border and I'll go give any illegal already here a green card myself.

I've been quoted now a few times on this, so I guess I should issue a 'clarification' if you will -- I was making a riff on Shakespeare's "The first thing we do is kill all the lawyers."
Secondly, you might note that I didn't actually suggest they all be killed, but that we announce a plan to -- an announcement designed to create an exodus. I really do think we are overlawed, and overlawyered. If secession is a plan to start over, to hit the reset button, then this issue should be addressed.
Besides, I like making fun of lawyers.

Yeah. TPOP. Interior enforcement. If you mean verifying that a worker is a citizen. Okay. Fining the living shit out of companies that purposely hire illegals. Okay.
Road blocks and "show me your papers" Um NO.
TSA is already too powerful too grabby and too arrogant and with Unionization will be filled with quota hires and thieves. Oh wait, they already are.
So yes to enforcing the laws but first secure the border.
When you have mice, you first close the access points as well as you can before you set your traps otherwise they'll just be back.
Same here. Now if you want to talk about private entities being allowed to hunt for illegals with a per head bounty, we can talk about that too.

Sure they do. They don't want to live in socialist countries, because those places are already socialist. They want to spread the disease, not wallow in an already infected host. Like zombies. They don't want the plentiful zombie brains. They want your brains.

Well, if Obama keeps going the way he did in 2008 it's not good. Even the weak reed Boehner will slow choom boy down a bit.
However that's not the problem. Their are systemic problems that need addressing and even choom boy's plan isn't enough. (neither was Ryan's btw)
For some insight and some basis education on how big the satan's cock that is fast approaching from our 6, go see Ann Barnhardt's presentation on our financial situation and the world's.
This is a 21/2 hour presentation but it's divided up into 6 parts and you can fast forward the boring parts or stuff you already know to the stuff that will make your anal sphincter pucker like it just swallowed a lemon tree.
Go here: http://barnhardt.biz and scroll down. (no direct link to the post she strings them out like beads on one page)

I don't buy everything she says but she gives a good idea of the situation we and other countries are currently in and why.
She says some pretty good stuff about what to stay away from if we live through any collapse.
Just read an online presentation by Dmitri Orlov about what the Russian people did and how they got through during the Soviet collapse.
Very interesting and less scary than you might think.
The most difficult part will be the days/weeks/months before things start to coalesce around alternate ways of conducting business and staying safe.
Lawyers won't be of much use during that time.

You say that like there's something wrong, inherently wrong, with being a moron. Are you sure you have the right audience?

We've gotten to a point where not-being-fooked would be worse than the alternative. By which I mean: if the makers in this country manage to drag the country over the new 2016 finish line without a discernible crisis, people might think that the Obamanation was an acceptable detour from American values. I haven't quite thrown in my lot with the "let it burn!" crowd, but I'm wavering.
Talk of "Going Galt" used to be libertarian fantasy. Lately it has begun to look like pragmatism (yes, I know, Rand abhored pragmatism because "it depends what it is that you want to practise.")
I'm not there yet -- my work ethic, like Eddie Willers' will keep me at the grindstone for some time yet. But I am definitely looking for signals. And the notion of a coordinated strike by those who really create this nation's prosperity is looking less like fantasy every day.

So we're getting hosed again.
They're just rearranging deck chairs at this point and they know it.
Even the Democrats know it.
Everyone's looking for an exit strategy and/or some way to save face.
I'll go out on a limb (who am I anyway?) and say we got maximum 10 years before a real collapse happens. Minimum 2 years.
It won't happen next year unless there are hidden factors not public at this time. It will take next year for it to become clear that the EU is sunk and the bailouts won't work. That will actually trigger a rise in money parked here. (you all do realize that although it looks bad, the EU being in trouble is actually what's kept the US from going under? We look like a good investment compared to them.)
However, a lot of our banks and brokerage houses have traded in sovereign EU country debt and if there's a collapse there big enough, they won't be able to derail a default. When enough EU countries default, the whole house of cards comes down because the banks here can't cover the margins they will be required to produce.
There probably won't really be a sudden dive or something. what will happen is that the G10 will get together and figure out how they're going to try and bullshit everyone and how fast it will collapse.
If anyone panics or if they can't agree how to cover it it'll be all over. Banks here will collapse there will be runs by folks trying to extract their cash and the Fed won't be able to prop them up. Bye bye savings. Bye Bye IRA. Bye Bye Federal payments.
Wheeeeeeeee all the way till it stops and where that will be is anyone's guess.
BTW. Don't try and get your cash from your bank when everything goes wonky. It'll just be a waste of time and if the collapse is big enough the money you get out won't be worth beans anyway.
Posted by: AshKente at November 15, 2012 02:27 AM (SP4jC)
There may be a little of that as the word gets spread around (that's how an isolated bank run starts. The bank is short cash and can't pay out on an account and the guy who got shorted tells his friends and they tell theirs and soon there's a mob at the banks door. You've all seen It's a Good Life right? that's it.)
However, I can't say that it's such a bad thing. Personally I'd like to see it happen 2 -3 years from now if it's going to happen but maybe the sooner the better. Get it done and then start to rebuild. I know I'll never see the country back to where it used to be.
Everyone likes to watch a fire. You may feel scared or sad but it's still fascinating.
LET. IT. BURN.

Watch out when cashing out for any tax complications. According to most sources, there will be increases in capital gains. There's also the chance that retirement funds could be confiscated by the government if things get dicey and you won't have a chance to do anything about it and of course some retirement funds will have penalties for early withdrawal. I frankly wouldn't worry too much about that because I doubt you're making that much off of it. If you are, you wouldn't be reading this blog and me you'd have high priced accountants doing that for you.
If you have any wealth that is not a physical thing, you are not secure.

They can still be prosecuted but it must be after the fact.
Posted by: Vic at November 15, 2012 02:50 AM (YdQQY)
Maybe. I am wondering if it might not be better to go on ahead and create a shadow government. If you look to the rise of Elizabeth and England the protestants were pretty ruthless on their way to power.
If the donkeys want to play this "two nation" bullshit maybe the right ought to start playing.
Posted by: sven10077 at November 15, 2012 02:54 AM (LRFds)
I don't see that happening any time soon.
By the time the dust clears, NYT will be a memory.
I got a laugh today by some dem telling reps to calm down it will get better because they were all shattered when bush got reelected in '04.
What a joke. They weren't facing a housing collapse, a financial collapse and a marxist anti american in office jacking the debt up to bursting levels in '04. There wasn't a slow motion implosion going on in Europe then either.
all they were upset about was bush was a meany and killing people in Iraq for christ's sake.
somehow, I think things are a bit different now.

I cannot stand Axelrod and friends stealing my nation's wealth and granting them as spoils of war.

They were not prosecuted during the Bush adm either, probably at the recommendation of Karl Rove.
However, it is very difficult to prosecute after the fact because (1) The horse is already out of the barn (2) It will likely reveal more classified information.
The PP and sullivan cases are examples of activist court malpractice.

No in a sane nation we'd be okay and looking at another 4-12 years out of power.
We're not a sane nation. Nancy Pelosi made up her mind to win by whatever means necessary, we are not allowed to do the same.
I understand why it is because of our deference to the system as the nearest to perfection we can get, but they use that deference as an attack.

Wait till after the collapse when it will be easier to form cooperatives and community support committees for the purpose of securing common goals and protection.
Protective Societies have a long history in areas in flux.
Be vewy vewy quiet. We don't want to wake the dog. heheheheh

So I checked out the 10 documentaries all "Guys" must watch... What a laugh. Most all of them are leftist tripe or pop culture crap. The only decent one was Senna and BrotherÂ’s Keeper. The rest are for retards who love rap or for pathetic, sentimental Jingos (which they mistake this for patriotism) who sit around crying in their near beer about the lost elections while listening to Rush rant and staring up at their poster of the Mormon RINO.

Ruger makes (made?) a 10/22 that's internally silenced. It looks like an ordinary 10/22 with a bull barrel, but it's silenced. I was looking at manufacturing a can that would look exactly like a bull barrel, so that when you screwed it on to the end of a bull barrel that had been machined with a threaded end, it would just look like a longer barrel, save the line where the barrel and can met.
