I thought the same thing, until you consider that many could not exit from the near side, and had to go over the opposite (port) side of the ship. It is much longer swim from that side, and should not be undertaken by any other than the ones in good physical condition. Add to the fact the problem that the water was on the cold side, you are clothed, and now you know why some deaths were from cardiac arrest.

The movie is about the Tuskeegee Airmen who painted the tails on their Mustangs red. This movie was done a couple of years ago with Lawrence Fishburn and Cuba Gooding. Sad, really, that Hollywood is so bereft of ideas that they are recycling movies that were so recently made.

This one was such a no-brainer. Who are the ecoweenies going to vote for? Their fingers would burst into flames if they touch the "R" lever in a voting booth. Obama and the dems have them sewn up now and forever amen. So they're the ones to screw over. Doesn't he know this? It's Politics 101, for Chrissakes.
Now the union rank and file are looking at Obama and thinking to themselves, "Pussy." Sure, the bosses will endorse O and kick back some cash to him, but the rank and file (except for SIEU, of course) will stay home or maybe just flip that little "R" themselves.
So if this was pure political calculation -- which Obama is very good at -- he has just fucked himself up good.
Nobody's that stupid. Nobody in his position, with his history, can be that stupid. Which means he's doing this on purpose. He's fucking up the country because he hates us. He's going full Nero on the United States.
This man doesn't need to be voted out. He needs to be marched out of the White House in handcuffs.

Then explain what the big deal would be. Even if true, the fix is cheap because its already installed in areas where its needed.

No, we actually secrete oil. Then we turn it into money. Lots of money. Then we bathe in the money. Sometimes it gets oil on it but that just makes it worth more, which makes us even richer. Then we laugh over the poor people out there who could use some of that money. We laugh, and laugh, and then light our cigars with oil-soaked money that the poor could use to buy food and health care and dignity. Then we go out fracking, just to mess up the water supply.

I met people like that when I worked for the CoE. We were all civilians, but you would never have known it if you asked some of the idiots who tried to pass themselves off as military, or better yet, former military.
I didn't have the problem. I never wanted to be military. Figured working for them was close enough without all the hassle, or people shooting at me.

No, not just the runs. I vaguely recall that even the disclaimer material on the official site included a phrase like "involuntary oily anal discharge." So, not for employed people, I guess. But if you're just on your couch all day, watching your TV, maybe OK, if you've Scotchguarded your couch.

A strong case can be made that with the regular application of significant military force without concern for international opinion we could indeed close a lot of our military bases.
Unfortunately the people most eager to close said bases are least likely to let the military do its job of killing people and breaking things.

And this is a women-only issue because...why?
I don't know you, but you are speaking like a liberal, without reference to facts, and seeking out an identity group. Walk through each of these bases, talk about why they're there, what their continuing mission is, and why it's no longer important. Citing the sheer number appears like an attempt to avoid deep thought.

If it were not for the fact that I'm relatively certain I don't have any cousins married to Yankees living in NYC, I'd swear Mrs 5th and I were related!
Thor and I were out of town this weekend going through my late MIL's belongings with his brother, and then one of my younger brothers decided to up and have a quintuple bypass Monday. He had a little chest pain, and thought he'd better go to the ER; that alone was a miracle.
You are familiar, I'm sure, with high-strung, emotional Southerners, so you can imagine I have been a busy fielding phone calls from my aunt and uncle and the other 7 brothers, various cousins, aunties, etc.

Signed up for one of the major dating sites and they have a question interface to try and match you up with other people.
The first few questions are bland enough and there are a lot of questions about marriage, sex, and drugs, and some VERY specific questions on the last two.
I guess this is a good thing. I certainly wouldn't want to waste time talking to a necrophiliac heroin addict, but, uh, is that something I should be worried about now that I'm single?

Liquid oxygen as oxidizer, and liquid hydrogen, kerosene, etc. as fuel. Useful rocket fuel isn't really that exotic, or expensive. The idea that rocket fuel is some bizarre pricy mix of weird-ass chemicals comes from the hypergolics (shit you just mix together and it burns) they used in ICBMs for a while, before switching to solids.

Jack
Daniels Fishing Story
I
went fishing this morning but after a short time I ran out of worms. Then I saw
a cottonmouth with a frog in his mouth. Frogs are good bass bait.
Knowing the snake couldn't bite me with the frog in his mouth I grabbed
him right behind the head, took the frog, and put it in my bait bucket.
Now the dilemma was how to release the snake without getting bit. So, I grabbed
my bottle of Jack Daniels and poured a little whiskey in its mouth. His eyes
rolled back, he went limp. I released him into the lake without incident and
carried on fishing using the frog.
A little later, I felt a nudge on my foot. It was that snake, with two more
frogs.

We're in the SF bay area of California, but I grew up around LA, so were always pushing the barriers of what can grow here. We've got jacaranda in the ground and bamboo in pots and roses that don't know to go dormant and mints that are pretending they're dead. It's a bunch of everything.
The orchids and "orchid cactus" are mainly in popup greenhouses until spring -- the trick is to maintain their humidity (leave doors open) and temperature (leave doors closed).

I read the owner's manuals pretty carefully and I think I am good to go. If I have read it correctly all I have to do is get my channel assignments right.
I haven't made a purchase yet. I really want to get my fingers on a board b4 I buy one, and it turns out the one I have been looking at (Nord) doesn't have a local distributor. So I am succeeding in fretting and fussing but not much else so far.

Is it possible to get a movie on blu with just one copy of the movie and maybe some extra features?
Why in the holy hell do I want three fooking copies of the same movie?
"But Robert, there's a one disc version on blu..." Yes, Yes, I am aware but it has none of the making of features which are most excellent and quite in depth. This is the only version with any of the making of features. The price of this edition is better than it was a month ago but good gawd why the overkill? 3D/blu/dvd/digitalcopy/vhs/beta/8mm good grief!
Also? FUCK 3D!
Even though I thought the theatrical 3D release was pretty good.

The BBC's Sherlock works primarily because the producers are such great fans of the novels and due to the casting and quality of the productions. It is unlikely that CBS would put as much time and effort into it and making Holmes an American is a terrible idea. If they want another detective drama, they should try for something different.

A few of the neighborhood dogs committed suicide, and some of the cats shoved a lot of snow in their ears. When the pet owners were telling me about it I had to work really hard at to not give myself away. I have repainted where most of the paint pealed off. Other than that, it has been peachy.
I think a lot of people can relate to hearing their own voice on an answering machine or something and realizing they don't really know what they sound like to other people. I am having a time trying to come to grips with what I sound like and find things that fit me. My guitar player says I sound like that guy from the Matrix who keeps saying "Mr. Anderson". So imagine him singing and you get the general idea.

Well that actually was a different dude. This was the Gibson Dove with the headstock that was ripped off. The owner hasn't seen it yet. I don't think he was expecting it to survive it was so bad. Its been apart 25 years, but now it lives. It looks great, the neck was sanded down and had no finish on it at all, probably from the 1st break, but I restored the original cherry color and gave it a finish, and I used an ambered clear to give the old looking aged tint to the neck binding, so it matched the body binding. It makes it look as though the neck was never striped. The sucker is strong, and I was able to hide the break lines.

Yep. That's the thanks you get.
I think the universe may be built on irony. One of the biggest ironies is the unthinking allegiance of black America to the slavery party. A companion irony is the amount of money and support jews give the slavery party.
Sometimes I wonder if the message, "our people came from slaves" is strangely mistranslated into "slavery is just wonderful." As dumb as that sounds, I just can't think of any other explanation.

""Berserker, the sounding post came loose and I managed to rattle it out through an f-hole.

Oh yeah, there are a few tools for that. I hate doing those. You also have to put the sucker in right, because it probably had the ends carved to conform with the curves of the inside of the top and back. If you look close there may be 1 or 2 little stab wounds in the post where the tool is used to spear it so it can be placed in the rough area, then its pulled into place with the hook type tool. You have to be careful not to wreck the F hole, and you need to pull the end pin that holds the tailpiece out of the body so you can look through the hole to make sure the post is straight. The location is uber fucking critical, it will change the sound alot just being an 1/8" off, and you usually have to move it to find the sweet spot.

Thank you for the guidance, Your Most Gracious Very Reverend JC.

Its usually pretty cheap, almost comical. I think maybe $20 max, and some places offer checkups with free sound post adjustments. Its not alot of money, and it really pays to have somebody who knows wtf they are doing actually do it, because if its too tight it can crack the top, and it won't sound anywhere near its potential if its not in the right spot.

Oh I know, libtard MA-Assholes who screwed up their State are moving there to screw yours up as well.
What we should do in all the States that are nominally "red" is pass a law that says new residents must live in the State for 5 years before they can vote. (Plus have a picture ID) And stamped notification to their old home State that they have cancelled their voter registration or have not registered at all.

Hi, Vic
They also destroyed WA & OR and made alot of messes in ID & MT. They seem to move away from their shithole (usually CA) and then try to turn the place they moved to into the same thing they left.

Looking at it from actual Supreme Court rulings from about 100 years later you could say that it was OK because it fell under his power for making treaties. It was later ratified by the Senate and who also approved the budget for the purchase.
Would it be that all Presidents were like that. More interested in expanding the country instead of the government.

I intend to if at all possible. Another interesting thing I learned when reading those books about Jefferson and doing simultaneous research on the internet is who runs Monticello and the attached Jefferson cemetery.
Monticello is run by a more liberal organization and there is friction between them and the cemetery organization. The cemetery is still an active cemetery limited legally to the descendents of Thomas Jefferson and you must have proof of that descendent status.
Note that the so-called descendents of Sally Hemmings did NOT meet that legal proof test even with the DNA testing. That is contrary to all the PC crap you see published now about the "evil slave owner" Thomas Jefferson.

I don't believe I ever watched Immortal Beloved but it has a special place in my heart for being an object of perfect preview placement.
In 'The Professional,' Gary Oldman's corrupt cop character rants about the virtues of Beethoven. On the VHS release I rented long, long ago, the first thing on the tape is a trailer for Gary Oldman as... Bethoven in 'Immortal Beloved.' So when he start talking about how wonderful the composer was in the feature, you have to think, "Well, you would think so, wouldn't you?"

They should start demanding the opposite of what they want. He is so determined to not give it to them, he would go the opposite direction every time.
