Well since everyone seems to have slacked off today I'm thinking I should do the same. Of course that's also what I tell myself pretty much every night. But this time I kinda semi-sorta almost mean it.
So tonight we watch a movie.
Feature Presentation: Monty Python and The Holy Grail (1974)
If you've watched this 5 or fewer times, well now's your chance to correct that.
Why China Will Have an Economic Crisis
We spend a lot of time focusing on our own serious problems - often forgetting how fucked up other countries are under the veneer of unstoppable growth.
But the more time I spend in China, the more convinced I am that its current economic system is unsustainable. Yes, economists who specialize in China can give you all sorts of reasons why the country is supposedly different, and thus the regular rules of economics don't necessarily apply. But one simple thing I always say about economics is that you can't escape math. If the numbers don't add up, it doesn't matter much how big your economy might be or how fast it is growing or how heavy a role the state might play. And China has lots of numbers that just don't add up.
When would a meltdown happen? It is interesting to play with a bit of history. Both Japan and Korea suffered their crises roughly 35 years after the Asian development model was switched on - the early 1950s to '89 in Japan, and 1962 to '97 in Korea. That puts a China crisis at around 2014-15 or so. I'm not predicting a firm date here. What I am saying is that China is running out of time to fix the problems of its economy.
Could American Body Fat Power The Country?
With the population of the United States growing ever more obese and oil becoming scarcer, I wonder if the government has started taking into account the energy its population is storing in body fat. Hypothetically, how much would this add to the nation's energy reserves?- John Prokos, Kathmandu

9 Foreign Words the English Language Desperately Needs
#4. Kaelling (Danish)Means:
An ugly, miserable woman who yells obscenities at her kids.
If you claim to have never seen one of these, go to the laundromat. Or Walmart. Or maybe it's the woman who lives down the street and offers a Master's class in parenting to everyone in earshot. Their calls are unmistakable, from "Get your asses in this house" to "Clean up your fucking mess" and even "I'll beat the shit out of you in front of the whole goddamn neighborhood."
To Fap Or Not To Fap, That Is The Question
Apparently it's now a thing for guys to take a NoFap challenge:
Here's a pretty awesome report from some dude who took the 90 day no-fap challenge and is feeling the wide range of benefits when it comes to not cranking his love pump.
Please note that I've found NoFap to be an incredibly positive change in my life and I haven't found any real negative effect for giving it up, save withdrawals. In this regard, I may be overly biased in favour of NoFap....First benefits I noticed were my energy and motivation levels as well as my productivity. All of a sudden, a surf after gym didn't seem like a sweat. Getting my affairs sorted for college next year was a priority. Stuff got done before I fucked around. Procrastination was kept to a minimum, time-wasting was eliminated. Nothing to do? I made something happen.
I started filling in my spare time with productive things. Eventually I had to start taking up new hobbies (yoga, salsa dancing, some more to come) to fill in the spare time. Other things include reading non-fiction books on topics of self-improvement, meditation, Emotional Freedom Technique (youtube it) and just general chores, cleaning etc. I still have a way to go, but I was surprised how much I wanted to get things done after the withdrawals cleared.
Well the commies have long envied the purity and essence of our natural fluids. Maybe they were on to something.
Blame it on Jane (Austen, that is)
For helping create the story template of jerks who can be redeemed by the right woman:
And so the template was set: jerky guys with hearts of gold. In the almost two hundred years since Pride & Prejudice was published, movies and books are filled with jerky guys - arrogant guys, pushy guys, snotty guys, aggressive guys - who become charming princes thanks to the heroine's incredible charm. And really, it does make for fun reading or movie watching. It's enjoyable following characters as they finally get it right. The problem, though, for real girls in the real world, is that jerky guys tend to be . . . well, jerks. If you want a nice guy in this life, you should find someone who is nice from the start. Life isn't fiction, and if your jerky guy refuses to turn into a handsome, caring, kind Prince, you might find yourself in a world of hurt.

As to the Jane Austen effect, well, Jane was depicting the kind of guys that women actually do find attractive. Good girls go for bad boys, it's been true since forever.

OBAMA IS A STUTTERING CLUSTERFUCK OF A MISERABLE FAILURE.

I did, and it has me thinking it's a tease or a run-up to something bigger. It established another tie to a radical, and a concerted effort by Obama allies to hide it in '08, but little else. I just hope the Breitbart's statement at CPAC "I have videos" (note the plural) is true. This wasn't enough to do much unless it was intended as a table-setter.

Firefox sucks these days. I'm loathe to upgrade to the latest version since people only ever complain and because my last experience around 4.0 or 5.0 was so bad that I downgraded back to 3.5. Is the latest version still a giant piece of crap? Improved?
I'm presently alternating between FF 3.6.27 and...not exactly Chrome, but a Chrome based browser called SRWare Iron. Which is basically Chrome. I still like the look of this version of FF but Chrome handles Facebook better (whereas FF gets all retarded and drags ass). But I've also noticed FF will render certain pages better, mostly a few blogs I read regularly. AoS especially.
Anyway, I'd like to stick with one browser. I'd prefer Firefox, but if it's still a buggy POS forget it. Dump it? Anything better?

A Harvard Law prof who admitted that "they", not "he", sat on it in 2008, but was happy to let it fly in a 2011 lecture since the O had already been elected. I'd bet that he's on the list to be vetted next.
Anybody else sad to realize that for the next year, we won't know whether "BLT" means Black Liberation Theology or Bacon, Lettuce, and Tomato? Because that's coming soon, based on the preview. Speaking of previews, Juan Williams made sure to pooh-pooh the video, saying that of course Barry knew these guys in the wayback, but it means nothing today. Remember that tomorrow when the wires and big papers write their stories...this is why I really hope Breitbart, from beyond the grave, is just giving them the rope and letting them be themselves.

Standard routine:
Search for how to start Firefox Safe mode. If it's faster diable addons one by one to see if there is an addon that's slowing you down.
Do a search for Profile manager, create a new profile, and see if that speeds things up. You'll have to copy your bookmarks, passwords, etc to the new profile if you have important stuff on the current one.
Oh, uninstalling and re-installing flash sometimes helps too.

Santorum is now dead to me. Appearing on Greta, he said he was for giving support to the (al-Qaeda affiliated) rebels in Syria.
He then went total 'tard by saying that since McCain was calling for airstrikes in support of the rebels, he, as president, would take the matter under serious consideration.
I don't care if he makes birth control illegal and pokes holes in every rubber, but when he pledged to take McCain's idiotic proposal seriously I simply cannot support him.

Now this is all coming third hand of course and I can't confirm any of it, but apparently the scuttlebutt from the HR department is as follows. The lady that I talked to yesterday, the one the Managing Director told me to work with directly, well it turns out she's the one who normally handles employee conflicts and complaints. She should have been the one I dealt with from the get go, but according to this unnamed source in HR the Director had heard about the incident in the lunch room before che-boy's supervisor complained, and told the lady I'm dealing with now that she would handle it.
I guess that didn't sit all that well with the lady who's job it was to take care of this sort of thing, and when she found out how the Director had handled it she got very upset. I don't know this lady myself, just met her yesterday, but from what my supervisor heard she is very much by the book and had it gone through her things probably would have been handled very, very differently.
So, a few other interesting items to note. No one in HR has a clue who sent the email. Much like our "generic" accounts in my department they can only be accessed from in house, they can't be accessed from outside via webmail. The email was sent out after the department was closed, so the mystery deepens there.
The source in HR said that the Director and 3 of the "higher ups" in the HR department had a conference call with the Managing Director pretty much as soon as they walked in the door. In fact if the source is correct the Director walked in on the call 15 minutes late because she was late for work that morning, so 3 of her upper management on the HR team were already on the phone with the Managing Director when she finally showed up.
I guess the Managing Director started ripping her a new one, not only for being late but of course about how my "case" was handled. Supposedly the HR Director tried to defend herself by claiming that I was belligerent, argumentative, and that I had even screamed at her several times during our meeting.
The Managing Director wasn't buying it though, apparently she'd had plenty of time on the phone with the other HR ladies who had already confirmed that none of them had heard me raise my voice throughout the entire meeting.
So according to my source at least, the HR Director was fired on the spot. I guess they keeping it quiet for now at least until the Managing Director can get back into town and deal with it personally.
It was all quiet on the Western Front other than that though. I was glad to get out of there for lunch - it's just weird being in the cafeteria and having it be that damn quiet, especially since it isn't that quiet until I walk in.
As for Che-boy and the che-ettes, I did see them today but they are avoiding me like the plague, as are pretty much all the folks in there little clique.
So not a whole ton to report today, but it was interesting to say the least.

I'll probably screw this up, but I blame alcohol.
SOS bitched to CheBoy about his shirt. Cheboy went to his boss, claiming racism or somesuch. His supervisor then sent out an email blaming SOS for going to HR, which was a rules violation.
HR Director got involved, wanting SOS to sign a letter admitting he was at fault for the whole thing. SOS said 'stuff it'. Death threats followed Cheboy's supervisor email, plus a little in-house vandalism of SOS workspace.
Now Cheboy's boss AND the HR Director are collecting Nancy Pelosi Stimulus money for UE.

Find a local homebrew store and ask about starter kits. Normally the local stores have some knowledgeable people working there.
Starting with extract brewing is easiest. All grain might require you to jury-rig some equipment for sparging and such. Once you get the hang of extract brewing, and you still like doing it...you can try all grain.

Updates? Yup.. a couple. Most of the day was pretty quiet, I had lunch off site with my supervisor today - she has a friend who has a friend in HR and she was let in on some of the more interesting doings as a result.

Nothing of any consequence will happen with the Breibart video unless the issue is pushed big time. Just letting it lay there insures it will fade away. Gonna need an effort like the Weiner episode. It must be pushed, prodded and poked relentlessly.
And that will require anyone who can do so. The right bloggers need to get behind that en masse.

Yes, economists who specialize in China can give you all sorts of reasons why the country is supposedly different, and thus the regular rules of economics don't necessarily apply.
Such people are assholes. I've taught my boys that when some shitheads start rationalizing their stupid positions on the grounds that "this time is different," it's time to pull their coats over their heads and run - not walk - for the exits.
It's never different. The only change from one clusterfuck to the next is the people who believe that this time is different. The principles of the clusterfuck itself remain an eternal verity. See: mortgage lending standards for a recent example.

It's like the stats that show exercise cuts the death rate. Partly it's that healthy people have energy to exercise.
Same reason vitamin taking is associated with higher death rate. it's cause sick people are trying anything to feel better so they start taking vitamins.
People who take vitamins are a self-selected group that's sicker than average. People who go jogging are a self-selected group that is healthier than avg.
People who have trust funds are likely to be well-off, so if you want to be well-off, get a trust fund.
The classic in this regard was drinking and health. Statistics indicated that drinking is good for you (I certainly hope so); turns out they forgot to allow for non-drinking by the mortally ill. It's amazing how little drinking people do on respirators in intensive care. Medical research is something of a joke, I'm afraid.
Another classic of the genre: breast-fed babies and higher IQ. Female law partners, for example, can breast feed, because their employers will accommodate them; assembly line workers, not so much. Do you think the selection factor might correlate with IQ?

Important:
CVS Pharmacies suck.
I was trying to re-fill my sister's prescription for Oxycodone. They're supposed to have a 15 minute turn around guarantee, but one look at the script and the scrunt told me a pharmacist would have to fill it so it would take 25 minutes or so.
After about half an hour another scrunt told me my sister's primary provider (PA Medicaid) had changed their formulary and they couldn't fill the script with medication from the manufacturer they carried.
They gave me the script back with a big slash mark through it and a note in the upper right corner that they didn't have enough medication on hand (120 pills) to fill the prescription.
They also gave me a cryptic 11 digit NDC# which identified the one and only drug manufacturer "approved by the new formulary".
So on the way back to my sister's house I detoured to a Rite-Aid pharmacy she had to go to for her last re-fill because of some other screw up at the CVS pharmacy. After I explained what the CVS scrunt told me, the Rite-Aid pharmacist did a global search to find out if any branches carried the same CDN#. It turned out none did.
So I went back to my sister's apartment to start calling every pharmacy in the phone book because CVS said they could've ordered the medication, but it wouldn't be in until Monday. By then my sister would've undergone really nasty withdrawal symptoms.
I explained my predicament to the pharmacist at a local family operated pharmacy with a good reputation. The pharmacist told me they didn't carry the NDC#, but the formulary change was impossible because if really had been made their store would have it in stock.
So the pharmacist asked me the necessary information to run a check to see if he could fill the prescription and within two minutes he said he could, with a $1.00 co-pay.
My sister takes LOTS of medications and EVERY time she gets like seven re-filled at the CVS, when we show up at least one or two prescriptions are missing.
My sister is taking too many pain/anti-depressant/anti-anxiety medications to drive and my BIL had open heart surgery on the 22nd and can't drive for at least eight weeks after the surgery, so I have been driving around like crazy taking care of them.
One major coup -- my sister loved the CVS because every time she went there she would stock up on truffles and other sweets that her husband wouldn't let her buy. A large part of her health problems stems from the fact that she's morbidly obese.
She also liked going to the CVS because there was a smoke store next door and she chain smokes even though she's on Spireva and a nebulizer. Plus, she buys the "organic incense" (fake marijuana) there, too.
I had ALL of her prescriptions switched over the new pharmacy that provides free home delivery. It's gonna same me lots of time and miles and kill her junk food sprees.
So to sum it up, CVS pharmacies are run by incompetent assholes who screw up 90% of prescription orders and will tell you bald-faced lies to cover their asses.
Never go to one.

I hope something comes of it, but I remember back as Jeremiah Wright stuff was coming out there was a rumor of Michelle saying "whitey" and the innertubes went nuclear. I think it ended up with her saying "why'd he". I still believe her to be racist, but until I see the tapes, I'll contain my enthusiasm that we've actually caught her saying her beliefs.

You know what I need? Ammunition insurance, every gun I own at some point in time runs out of ammuntion and I am barred from access to ammunition because my insurance doesn't cover it. Ammuntion is a civil right and insurance companies should be mandated to cover it.
Paying for it myself can cost up to $3,000 over a 3 year period.

Hello from the High Plains Outpost, Morons.
Out of the blue today, I got a Bookface message from an old co-worker. Seems another old co-worker (and ex-boss) was trying to get in touch with me. I called him, and he told me he had an opening at the radio station he's managing in south-central Oklahoma, and that I was the first person he thought of. I told him that I'd have to think about it, since I wanted to let the Teenage Son know. I remember moving during high school, and how much it sucked.
I told about about the job, and the first thing out of his mouth was, "When do we move?"
Soooo, it looks like I'm back in the terrestrial radio business again. A nine-to-five job, with a midday air shift, and a decent small-market salary. They'll also help me find a place to rent.
The odd thing is...I also had a call earlier today from the sporting goods store I've been talking to about an assistant manager spot. So I had to make a decision quickly...which, really, was no decision at all. Radio is what I love, and I'll stay with it for as long as I can. I think it'll be a good thing to get out of the parent's house (where I had to stay for quite a while now) and get back out on my own. I can't recall ever having two job offers in the same day.
Not as exciting as the SoS Story, but I'm pretty dang pumped.

Okay, then, forget tips 2 and 3. But being clean is pretty essential. You want to keep wild yeasts and other infections out of your beer. It sucks to wait six weeks to get undrinkable crap.
Try it at least once before you give up, though. Fresh beer is like fresh bread. In fact, beer is a lot like bread. Both involve grains and yeast, right? But with bread you keep the solids, and with beer you get rid of them.

Anyway she posts something and this messed up bitter lefty, his wife just left him, has a friend who is a Marine who sounds as bitter and lefty as him. He claims the Afghans and or Taliban are just the same as us. He despises the "phoney bible thumping patriatism" country music loving rednecks. He equates Christians with because we have a few random kooks.
He equated the way Muslims beat their wives with the way women are beat by abusive husbands here in the USA.
She asked him if he had read the Koran and the rules it lays down and he replied he owns a Koran. This is what we get when we give our guys multiple deployments. I'm a former Marine and this guy scares me. I told her to tell him to not go back, even if it means getting out. He's been in 10 years.

Here some of his posts.
And I was going to let this go.. But no. Do you think when my Marines and I were in Afghanistan or Iraq, we had some distant view of the American flag flying and Lee Greenwood playing as we chopped Iraqi's and Afghans in half with 50 cals?... Because we don't. We do what we do to ensure we come home alive. All the American flag is to a Marine is a symbol. That's it. We don't die for it. We don't fly it outside of our house in Sundays. We dont cry at the national anthem... We don't care about that petty cheerleader shit. And as I've been face to face with Taliban and been shot at by them and felt my asshole pucker up because you can hear the rounds zinging by, I can tell you this... The last thing on my mind was "patriotism". The Taliban: They're no different than you or I. We're just in their backyard and they want us out. And why do we kill them? Because I will kill first everytime and ensure my Marines make it home alive. That's why. But do I think it's just? Fuck no. Walk next to a "terrorist" and then comment. Until then... Do the Marines a favor and send us a care package with porn, dip and beef jerky. Because at the end of the day... That's what war is to us. Ok. Next time Im deployed I will. Because I will be. So just to clear the air. I never said they were our friends. I said they're just like us. Because they are. How many Afghans or Iraqies have you met? Talked to? Interrogated? Kill...ed? I'd love to compare. You see. The difference is that what you get shoved down your throat on Fox News isn't reality. And I shouldn't have been a Marine?!?! Ok. Sure. I joined to protect America. Your god damn right. I don't join to supply corporate greed-minded CEO's. Big difference. And I DO protect my country men. It's funny how a persons attitude and perception changes when they talk to a source. NOT another brain washed American. Whatever. In not worried about your support or lack there of. I could give two shits of anyone supports the military. You know why? Because I support the military. And not by my mouth, but by my actions. You know the "actions speak louder than words" saying? Yeah. So when you curse my existence and stomp your feet at the "liberal" media, just remember that there's a guy like me, deployed away from him wife and two kids AGAIN, "protecting" America that's absolutely ANTI REPUBLICAN. So you're saying that Anericans don't commit hennious crimes against one another?!? Uh. Watch your local news tonight and see how many people drowned their children, raped a woman and shot someone they didn't know and for a dumb reason. you think I like getting in my dress uniform and pracing around town, like a fucking show dog, so people can stare at my medals and ask, “What was that for, it’s so shiney?”. No. I don’t. I think it disrespects the men who served honorably to earn those medals, and they shouldn’t be forced to parade around town like some dog and pony show, to make the American public feel better about themselves. And Obama, is playing the same politics as every other politician is. Bush is/was no different and will go down in history as one of the worse presidents to ever run the country. HE got us involved in this ridiculous 10+ year campaign, on false pretenses. Is it a coincidence that 90% of the worlds opium supply comes from this little nation in the middle of nowhere, where people live in mud huts and have never driven on a paved road, but we NEED to be in to protect our “freedom”. I’d say no. And is it akward that Iraq’s “weapons of mass destruction” even though we pay BILLIONS of dollars in intelligence gathering were never found? BUSH gambled with American lives. And BUSH lost. And BUSH is a worthless coward in my book. Him and his chicken shit administration. I appreciate support from you and other Americans… don’t take it that I don’t’. I simply ask, that you do

Here's what I hope is happening with today's tape and the Alinsky poster. The battleground is being prepped. Here and there, different pieces of evidence that O is not mainstream, he's not normal, he's not American in the sense that most of us are. Not every piece of evidence, alone, will be a game changer, but hopefully, there will be some big ones later on. And the idea will have been planted, over and over in ways big and small, that this guy cannot be trusted, is too radical, is too far out of the mainstream.
A lot of people think that because he got away with so much in 2008 thanks to the MFM, that no mind will be paid to these sorts of things again. But I think, now people have formed an opinion. Many are skeptical, the country is in bad shape any way you look at it, has been for 3 years and with no real reason to think things are going to change with O around. Conditions are ripe and some people just need the right excuse to abandon the hopenchange train 2012.
We may not have a smoking gun, I don't know, but if there's enough drip, drip, drip hopefully the tipping point will be reached with enough people.
I won't expect Romney or the mainstream R's to wade into the issue of O's radicalism any time soon. It's too easy for the D's/media, etc to paint "he's different, he's radical" as racism in disguise. But hopefully if the battlefield is well prepped, the R candidate can take advantage of that just before the election and say things he couldn't earlier. Drive home the point that all bets are off if O keeps the reins for a second term. Scare the crap out of people if that's what it takes.

See that's what you guys are so good at. I now know the shouter was Etheridge but Moran is indeed slime so any bill I see sponsered by him I can immediately hit "opposed".
I try not to just support or oppose based on party but if I see a bill sponsered by Frank, Kerry, Pelosi etc. those are automatic "oppose" since I know that, whatever they say the point of the bill is, the effect will be less liberty for us.

The writer of the article quotes a letter Tommy Dolan sent to Bishops...
"At a recent meeting between staff of the bishops’ conference and the White House staff, our staff members asked directly whether the broader concerns of religious freedom—that is, revisiting the straight-jacketing mandates, or broadening the maligned exemption—are all off the table. They were informed that they are. So much for “working out the wrinkles.” Instead, they advised the bishops’ conference that we should listen to the “enlightened” voices of accommodation, such as the recent, hardly surprising yet terribly unfortunate editorial in America. The White House seems to think we bishops simply do not know or understand Catholic teaching and so, taking a cue from its own definition of religious freedom, now has nominated its own handpicked official Catholic teachers."

Sure, we know but political junkies who read righty blogs are a small percent of the voting public. It takes a lot of time and repetition to get through to the mushy middle who don't pay attention. Many people still don't perceive O to be nearly as radical as he is. We are way ahead of the curve.
And the Catholic thing, wow. The hubris of O and his fellow travelers is breathtaking. Hopefully that supreme arrogance and contempt will end up being the source of his downfall. Glad the Catholics have woken up and joined the fight.

Posted by: NC Ref at March 08, 2012 01:29 AM (/izg2)
No. It sounds just like any other left-wing screed. 20/20 hindsight be damned.
My father fought in the last big war America won, the first war America didn't win and the first war America lost from within. I've never served but I've been around the military for 30 years and Ohio Dan's screed sickens me. Sounds like shit from the HuffPo. Ohio Dan needs to spend a lot of time at the VA psych ward to heal himself.
I've seen this kind of irrational shit before. I saw a long haired Vietnam vet beat the shit out of some old guy at a bar because he didn't like the guy's cowboy hat and/or how he was looking at him. The guy was totally unhinged.
Shortly after the start of the Iraq war he went to the VA and while walking towards the hospital told his girlfriend he had to go back to the car to get something. Then he blew his brains out in the VA parking lot. He pre-wrote his own unbelievable obituary that read something like the plot for Apocalypse Now.
I've personally witnessed how war can change someone. I remember how my father lit one cigarette from the butt of another for three or four ciggies in a row. I remember him pounding down Jack Daniels until he bounced off the walls on his way to bed. I remember asking my mom what was wrong with him.
I remember the fights, the turning over of he dining room table -- all sorts of crazy shit.
But I can't cut Ohio Dan any slack for his stupid screed.

This.
Will never forgot getting into a Health Care argument. Was trying to be quiet since I was at a party. After mixing it up and feeling a certain sorrow - the woman's husband was biking to work and had been hit by a car - she blew it all to hell with "And the timing is just aweful!" or words to that affect.
"Well, there's never a good time for a car accident..."
"No, I meant we already had our tickets to Scotland."
"Scotland?"
"I'm from there originally. We vacation there every year 2-3 weeks, depending on work..."
and I remember closing my jaw so I didn't screech, "I'll pay for your public health insurance when you take me and husband to Scotland with you. We've never been!"
Blew me away. Not enough money for her and her husband's health care ... but plenty of money for international vacations ...

You know I'm laughing my fucking ass off here. Because my crazier than me brother experienced that. He was doing that online dating and was scoring like a mofo. He was in one of the girls apartments one night, and the light blew out in the living room. He asks her for a ladder and and climbs up to change the bulb.
Where it gets really funny is how he explained it. He says dude I hear this ( he starts doing a light drum roll on the table to simulate a pair of small feet running across the floor) then he says "next thing i know its like woah...woah, she got my pants undone and starting blowing me" and then he makes the motion like he was flailing in the wind while hanging from the rope of a moving helicopter.
I fucking crack up every time I think of that. Him hanging onto the light for dear life. lol

The lawyer said, "Let's see, here," reached into his pocket and pulled out a ten-dollar bill. He started to hand it over, but the pulled it back and said, "Wait a minute... you're not gonna take this to the liquor store and buy some beer, are you?"
"Oh, no, sir," answered the bum. "I haven't had a drop to drink in ten years."
"Okay, then," said the lawyer, holding out the money again. "Wait a minute," he said, pulling it back. "You're not gonna take this money and go golfing, are you? Scrape together a bunch of donations together and go pay the green fee at a country club?"
"No, sir," said the bum. "I used to golf, but I sold my clubs a long time ago."
"Okay, then," said the lawyer. "Wait a minute... you're not gonna buy yourself a cigar with this money, are you? Hit the tobacconist, get yourself a nice Cuban?"
"No, sir," answered the bum. "I gave up smoking a long time ago, due to lack of regular income."
"Okay, then," said the lawyer. "Wait a minute... you're not gonna take this money and gamble it away on cards, right? Get together with the guys, play a little poker?"
"No, sir," answered the bum. "I learned my lesson about gambling a long time ago."
"Okay, then," answered the lawyer. "Wait a minute... you're not gonna take this money to the red light district, are you? Cough up your food money in exchange for a little time with a lady?"
"No, sir," answered the bum. "No sense taking money I could use for food and using it to buy myself a social disease, instead."
"I see," said the lawyer, putting the $10 back in his pocket. "On second thought, I'm not gonna give you this money, after all."
"Why not?" asked the bum.
"Instead of giving you that money, I'm gonna take you home with me," said the lawyer. "You'll have a wonderful home-cooked meal with my wife and me. She's a terrific cook!"
"Is that gonna be okay?" asked the bum. "I mean, it's been weeks since I had a bath. I must stink to high Heaven right now."
"It'll be fine," said the lawyer. "Sure, she won't be too happy about it, but I need her to see what happens to a man when he gives up beer, golf, smoking, cards, and sex."

"Well, frankly, I can see why you're interested in this surgery," said the doctor. "But we don't have any spare penises right now. All I can give you right now is this elephant's trunk."
"Well, whatever," says the guy. "It beats what I have now, right?"
"Yeah, that's true," says the doctor, and he makes the arrangements.
Surgery goes off without a hitch. The patient recovers quickly, and scores a date shortly thereafter.
He's at a fancy restaurant with a lovely woman, when his trunk suddenly slips out of his pants and grabs a roll, then disappears back under the table. He's mortified, but the girl laughs.
"Ha, ha! Do that again!" she says.
His trunk zips out again, grabs another roll, and disappears again.
The girl laughs harder. "Again!" she says.
The trunk grabs another roll and disappears again.
The girl can barely breathe, she's laughing so hard. "Again!" she manages to wheeze.
"I would," he answered, struggling to breathe, himself, "but I don't think my asshole can take another roll."

An old folks home had a male review for some of their female patients. At first the staff didn't know how it would go over but proceeded with the plans.
There worst fears were confirmed during the act when one of the hot young studs whipped off his shorts and revealed the full monty, complete frontal nudity.
Mary Ellen immediatly had a stroke. Then Betty Jane had a stroke right after.
Minerva tried to have a stroke but she couldn't quite reach from her wheelchair.

Well, the guy ain't going for that so he goes home and he just tries to overcome the pain. He reads everything he can find, and sees a couple specialists. Same answer both times. After about 6 months of constant headaches he finally sez "fuck it" and goes in and has them removed.
Well, now he starts getting really depressed, and he comes to the conclusion that a new suit might cheer him up. So he goes downtown and goes into this little shop. He walks and tells the tailor he would like a new suit. Tailor doesn't ask a single question, doesn't measure him, nothing ... He just takes a quick look and disappears into a rack of shirts.
A couple minutes later the tailor appears and starts giving the guy a wonderful suit -- the right color without asking -- the right shirt size without checking -- every single size is perfect and every choice of fabric and color is exactly what the guy wants. Finally the tailor hands him a new pair of briefs.
Man: "I am amazed at your skills, you did everything perfectly, but these briefs are two sizes to large."
Tailor: "If you wear two sizes smaller they will pinch your nuts and give you headaches."

17 years ago Obama was 35 years old. Way too old not to know about lying down with dogs. By then it can only be because you really dig the fleas.
This reminds me of a confrontation on some news show when David Duke was running for office. Debating against duke was a young Congressman whose name completely escapes me. A particular loathsome bit of Duke's past was brought and he tried to dismiss it as youthful misadventure. The young politician replied that he was that age right now, so he could pretty much go wild if Duke's excuse were valid.

That reminds me of this:
Sam goes to work one day and has the same conversation over and over.
"Sam! You look terrible!"
"But I feel great"
After a whole day of being told how appalling he looks, Sam is able to wrangle a late afternoon appointment with his doctor. After describing his situation and some diagnostics the doctor is paging through a medical encyclopedia searching for an answer.
"Looks awful. Feels great. Looks awful. Feels great...."
"Sam, I've got it! Brace yourself."
"Sam, you are a vagina."

A woman steps out of the shower, and is mortified to see her young son in the bathroom. She ducks back behind the curtain, but not before her son points at her crotch and says, "Mommy, what's that?"
"Oh, um," she says, thinking fast, "that's, uh, where I got hit with an axe."
"Ohhh," says the boy. "Got you right in the c!nt, didn't it?"
Good night, everyone!

Daughter goes into the den and asks her father if she can have some money for shopping. Father says, well I guess so, for a blow job. Daughter says ok, and starts up, before spitting it out complaining that it tastes like shit!
Father says, "yea, your brother needed to borrow the car".

The brunette offers a legend that the position used during conception influences the form of the child. "My husband was on top, so I'm probably having a boy.
The redhead nods and suggests, "Girl for me. A reverse cowgirl if you want to be detailed."
At this moment the blonde bursts into tears. The other two gather around trying to comfort her and find out what is wrong.
"I'm going to have puppies!"

Three guys sitting in a bar, the American says that the bartender sometimes gives out free drinks to friends. Great British guy says are you kidding me? Irishman says shit, in my country they give you free drinks and take you upstairs to get laid!
American says wow, and this has happened to you personally, to which the Irish guy says well no, my sister back in the Ireland told me.

Walks passed the waitress!
Walks passed the bartender!
Slams open the swinging doors and yells at the short order cook, "Pour me a Scotch and Soda!"
The cook looks up from fryin' and slicin' and says, "Dude ... I'm the cook. The drinks are back that-a-way."
"Well, duh!" says the customer. "I'm a lawyer. Of course I passed the bar ..."

Man gets impatient and yells at his do a little. Dog jumps out of the boat, runs across the water, grabs a duck, runs back and jumps in the boat. Man is staring at his friend waiting for him to freak out in the same manner he did the first time his dog did that. Friend is just sitting there with a kind of blank look and sez nothing.
So, dog owner urges dog to go get the other duck. Same thing -- dog is hesitant but finally jumps out of the boat, runs across the water, grabs the duck, runs back and jumps in the boat. Friend still doesn't say a damn word.
Finally dog owner is just too excited to hold back and asks: "you notice anything strange about my dog?"
Friend: "Yeah, this is the first time I've ever seen a Labrador that can't swim."

Kid friendly:
Three strings walk into a bar and sit down. First string goes up to the bar and says give me three beers. Bartender says "uh, read the sign! We don't serve strings in here!" He goes back and second string says let me show you how its done. He walks up and says hey barkeep! Give me a pitcher of beer, and here's a nice tip for you. Bartender says look buddy, I already told your friend.... He goes back to table.
Third string goes into the bathroom, rips his head apart and ties his neck in a knot and goes up to the bar to order three beers. Bartenders says, "are you a string?". To which the string replies, "no I'm a frayed knot".

Man: 'What sins?'
Priest: 'What kind of a Catholic are you?'

It's kind of like the 'And we're just the guys to do it!' bit in Animal House.
Too bad Matt Taibbi doesn't have a new book out. He is equally deserving.
Of course, this is mild compared to what is really deserved but their ilk has always relied on their targets to be more civilized than they while claiming the opposite.

A few months ago I noticed that the front page of this site seems to know about my past google searches. Last week I was looking for a clear lense filter to replace one I just ruined. I then come to this site and see ads on the front page for camera lenses. OK, some kind of browser histroy thingy or something is pulling up ads based on history. Noted.
But lately I'm getting ads for spring dresses on this site. WTF.
