Pixy on the Democrats and Their Love for Totalitarian Iconography
The Hillary poster in particular seems to come from some weird alternate universe in which Eva Peron was an admiral of the Imperial Japanese navy.
"Shut Up Culture" Takes on Dissent Over Campus "Rape Culture"
So Cornell student Julius Kairey wrote a thoughtful, reasoned column in the campus newspaper pointing out how the movement to end 'rape culture' on campus has seriously eroded the due process rights of students.
But the belief that rape must be prevented by "any means necessary" has been used to justify the elimination of key protections for students accused of rape in campus judicial systems. Some want the claims of the alleged victims of rape to be accepted as true, and not scrutinized in a fair legal proceeding. Just two years ago, Cornell stripped those accused of sexual offenses of the right to retain an attorney in University proceedings and the right to cross-examine their accusers. A student accused of a sexual offense at Cornell is now not able to directly ask the person who is making a potentially life-ruining accusation a single question about the incident. This is an inexcusable erasure of the fundamental right to confront one's accuser, a right that has existed for all of our country's history. Such rights are not superfluous. They protect us against arbitrary action by those who hold the levers of power.
And outrage!! from the usual campus suspects ensued blaming Kairey for fomenting sexual assault as well as the newspaper for disrespecting rape survivors by having the temerity to even publish his trigger of a column:
We disagree with the decision to publish "The Truth About 'Rape Culture,'" by Julius Kairey '15. Kairey blatantly disrespected a sensitive subject by reducing and delegitimizing the scarring experiences of survivors. This newspaper erred in publishing this article and should now also take responsibility for the harmful, triggering effects that articles like these cause.
...Those, like Kairey, who have the power to create change by advocating for survivors instead choose to ignore their voices, erase their rights and refuse to hold perpetrators accountable..
Now to even disagree with those obsessed with 'rape culture' makes you a cheerleader for sexual assault as well as a common thought criminal.
Because Animal Rights Activists Hate NYC's Horse-Drawn Carriages
They've come up with this electric, truck-sized 'eCarriage' to replace it. It only travels at 5mph and costs a mere $150,000+.
At the New York Auto Show last week, a very large electric vehicle--effectively a larger-than-life electric scale model of a Brass Era touring car--was shown to the public by NYClass. The animal-rights advocacy group has long advocated for the removal of horse-drawn carriages from Central Park on the grounds of animal cruelty.
It proposes that the 68 carriages now operating in and around the park be replaced with the so-called eCarriage, which would operate at 5 mph in the park, to replicate the open-air horse carriage experience for tourists as closely as possible--minus the clip-clop and the odor of horse manure.
The prototype electric car shown last Thursday is the size of a seven-passenger full-size SUV, seats eight, weighs 7,500 pounds, and rides on 26-inch truck tires. It uses a number of existing components from other vehicles, including the Ford F-450 heavy-duty commercial truck.
Kate Humble: We don't value food because it's not expensive enough
But of course one of the long proclaimed 'freedoms' of socialism was freedom from hunger. But then once food became plentiful and cheap, the new complaint becomes that we just don't appreciate it enough. Which is a big clue that it's really all about control and thinking the proper way.
Prager University: Jonah Goldberg Explains 'Social Justice'
And the noxious assumptions embedded into the term itself.
And fittingly Vox just published this article by Matt Yglesias: Beyond the Laffer Curve - the case for confiscatory taxation
Here he basically admits that it's not about the money - it's all about social engineering. And control.
The Laffer Curve - the idea that tax cuts can sometimes increase tax revenue - is one of the most influential and widely debated ideas in the past two generations of American politics. Beloved by the right and despised by the left, one thing that both sides have tended to agree on is that knowing what side of the curve we're on should be a key driver of tax policy.
But in an era of surging inequality, it's time to revisit that assumption. Maybe at least some taxes should be really high. Maybe even really really high. So high as to useless for revenue-raising purposes - but powerful for achieving other ends.
First Time in a Drive-Through Car Wash
Full disclosure: When I was very little (and normally fear-less) for some reason drive-thru care washes absolutely terrified me. I think it was a combination of the noise, shaking, and movement that convinced me that we were being attacked and eaten by robots or maybe possibly some kind of sea creature. More often than not I would end up in the back seat in tears attempting to curl up into the foot rest area.
In time I came to accept the car wash attacks and no longer fear them. These days I now use that time to check my email and toss trash into the backseat area. But I have to admit that every time I go through one the holy-shit-I'm-being-eaten part of my amygdala still twitches a bit.
Human Barbie is Kind of a Dumb Bitch
And yes thanks to modern materials and plastic surgery this is a real person.
And it turns out that Human Barbie, Valeria Lukyanova, believes you can subsist off of sunshine and air alone (Breatharianism) and is very concerned about racial miscegenation and mongrelization.
Ethnicities are mixing now, so there's degeneration, and it didn't used to be like that. Remember how many beautiful women there were in the 1950s and 1960s, without any surgery? And now, thanks to degeneration, we have this."
And no Human Ken Doll doesn't like her much either. He considers her an unserious dress-up-doll poseur as well as his arch-nemesis.
"She's a cute girl.I don't really get her. I don't get why people think she's so interesting. She has extensions. She wears stage makeup. She's an illusionist.Unlike me, who has spent nearly $150,000 permanently transforming myself into a human Ken doll, Valeria just plays dress up. But as soon as you wipe away all that makeup, she's just a plain Jane and there's absolutely nothing special about her."
The Yahoo AoSHQ group. Bla bla bla.
And my twitter thang.
Tonight's post brought to you by wasn't this a Twilight Zone episode:
And wouldn't make more sense for people to disappear while going through a drive-thru car wash? Those things are scary.

Repost for certain morans. But also Grammie Winger's reference was absolutely accurate. So upon Christ's death on the cross, there is pagan non-Christian evidence not only of unnatural darkness but a massive earthquake throughout Judea that razed many structures. Cheers fellow morans!!
Troyriser, DLamp and anyone else interested in the contemporaneous pagan record of Christ's existence, here is the evidence of the very strangedarkness that fell after he died on the cross:
About the middle of the first century, roughly 50 AD, the pagan Thallus, in a fragment preserved by Julius Africanus, argued that the abnormal darkness that accompanied the death of Christ was a purely natural phenomena and coincidence...
This comes from the author William Durant, from the book Caesar and Christ, in his 11 volume series on the history of Western civilization (i.e., not written from a Christian defense or point of view), and appears to be sourced from Julius Philippus in Cicero, De off.
Will repost in ONT if this is not it. Cheers!!

No you can't question the victim.
No you can't present evidence that refutes the victim.
You can't investigate the victim.
You can't tell you side of the story.
The victim is a saint and you're a scum bag.
Victims don't lie.
Victims don't have ulterior motives.
Victims are pure and clean except for where you touched them.

in which Yglesias self identifies as a person that would cheerfully load millions of humans into the cattle cars and send them to their final destination.
Consider the phrase: "your own life." -- see the word 'own' in there, matty, you fucking dumbass? It is called 'your own life' because everyone is supposed to own theirs -- and you are not supposed to own anyone's life other than your own life. Get it? Nah, you are too fucking greedy and too fucking stupid to get it.
There are reasons why certain people are the voluntary new protagonists of the slavery party, and most of those reasons are ugly. matty is a truly disgusting, vile piece of shit.

Some of the worst injustices have come from cases where the woman never reported anything to either the campus or local police and then filed a complaint months or years later.
In that case you have absolutely no physical evidence or contemporaneous accounts from witnesses. It's purely a he said/she said situation and the fact that she feels upset now is enough proof to convict him of something.

A prequel to the Dune Series by Frank Herbert.
In it is described the impregnation of Sister Mohiam by Baron Harkonnen so the BG can have Jessica born.
That scene is how I imagine Hillary and Bill getting together for Chelsea.
Once and once only and an unpleasant event for both.
I doubt if they were doing it at Yale either.

I'll stand down. Fair enough, my apologies if I get too pissed off, as a former atheist convert, I do want the most educated debate. And I do usually like your posts although we can tangle on special evolution all day.
But refer to the source you've cited. Even this "debunking" talks about events that occurred 32 AD. Now, the man who wrote literally 13000 pages of history of Western civilization and included also India, China and Japan, up to the 1930s on this, has stated that the author, Thallus, is trying to "explain away" these unnatural events after Christ's death.
Taking the historicity/critical approach, I'll refer to Mr. Durant's comment, and his many citations as to the historicity of Christ, something that intensely consumed Napoleon as well.
His basic conclusion was that our extant record provides far far more proof than even that of Julius Caesar, so if we believe that Caesar lived and died, then it's obvious that Christ lived and died.
Cheers!

BTH:
Direct from the book Caesar and Christ:
"The oldest known mention of Christ in pagan literature is in a letter of the younger Pliny (ca 110), asking the advice of Trajan on the treatment of Christians. Five years later Tacitus described Nero's persecution of the Chrestiani in Rome, and pictured them as already (AD 64) numbering adherents throughout the Empire. Seutonius (AD 125) mentions the same persecution and reports Claudis' banishment (AD 52) of "Jews who, stirred up by Christ [impulsore Chresto], were causing public disturbances," the passage accords well with the Acts of the Apostles, which mentions a decree of Claudius that "the Jews should leave Rome."
I have many Jewish friends, one is the godfather of my first born son, yes I insisted... So don't think that I fail to respect the Jewish people or their incredible faith. They are God's chosen people after all. And the only original civilization that survives to today.
But so many prophecies have already been fulfilled. It is on me if I do not tell those who I like most what I know and believe. And the factual basis, as well as reason as well as faith, all leads back to the same path... Night fellow morans.

Ford/Mercury have had "twins" for decades -- and, IIRC, Mercury was the premium brand in the 60s.....but in recent years, Mercury has been the Epiphone to Ford's Gibson.
It would be difficult for me to own another Ford -- I had a 1979 Mustang for college, and that POS went through two starters, a ring gear, a tranny (one repair place said that it had never been properly bolted to the frame), two carbs, a water-pump.....and it went through valve-cover gaskets like candy (valve covers and valve assemblies made of metals with different expansion coefficients -- 100 hot/cold cycles and it'd grind the gaskets to mush).
I replaced with a 1986 Nissan Sentra that was so stripped it didn't even have a radio -- cost $4,709 out-the-door -- but my down-payment and car payments for the first 12 months I owned the Sentra were less than the repair bills alone on the last 12 months I owned the Mustang.

The problem with your Mustang is that it was a car built in the 70's and early 80's. They were all shit. Honda, Toyota and Datsun were still building econoshitboxes, and the US manufacturers were about to embark on the greatness that was the K-Car. I don't know, my dad had a Nissan minipickup that went forever and ever about the same time....although he got a Chevy S-10 about 3 years later whose bed *dented* the first time he loaded plywood into it. I just think Detroit from about 1973 to 1986 was a very special place......that should probably have been nuked then to save us all a great deal of later aggravation.

I can't say the car is perfect -- the rear hatch sensor that turns on the rearmost overhead light has never worked properly (I've always had to keep the On/Auto/Off light-switch on "Off") -- but I've had this car for damned-near 20 years.
Extra fun -- when I bought it, I wanted a Honda Accord EX Wagon with a stick. I'd done research, I'd looked at options, my mind was set. Looked around for a bit.....couldn't find any. Finally called Honda. When I bought my car, there were only 14 in the state (California emissions requirements made "in state" and "out-of-state" important). I visited the white one in San Bruno and the white one in Santa Cruz, and I think I visited a beige one in San Jose....the one I really would have liked was the green one in Chico. But I ended up using my credit union's fleet buying plan and buying a beige one in SLO, sight unseen.

This is the Josephus who arguably sold out his people? And does it strike anyone as ironic that a man named Judas is the one that finally led the successful revolt?
Finally, mazzel tov (sp?) means "may your planets be favorable" Fun fact for the day. Ok really, good night!!

If you've got a Honda VTEC engine, it's built for Acuras....if your Acura doesn't have a VTEC engine, it's a dolled-up Honda.

Imagine the mess when our 3 yo lab ate about 7 dozen sugar cookies. The damn cat opened the pocket doors that where supposed to prevent that. Bailey the dog had diarrhea for about a week after, dumbass.

And who was talking about the dog eating catpoop?
Ok - this will be my last on this topic, and i should give a *GROSS WARNING, but when StinkButt (an actual nickname) ate that pound of ground beef, it ended up in four piles on the kitchen floor later that night. It was green.
I had to walk away from it. Argued with ex over who should clean it up for quite a while...
By the time we went in there to clean, three of the piles were gone. Posted by: shredded chi at April 22, 2014 12:46 AM (8Samq) Hide posts from (8Samq)

Will do, certainly.
And I'm also praying for my friends Dave & Judy. He just called and said his daughter and granddaughter are dead.
The granddaughter had brittle bone disease, suffered all her 12 yo life. Then her mother was diagnosed w/ some rare hardening skin disease. Both in much pain all the time.
Dave called tonight and apparently the mother killed her daughter and herself. It's so sad.
Please if you pray keep them in mind, I know they are in extreme pain. I talked to Dave, but I don't know what else to do other than to pray for them and ask others to do so.

over the honda. We have 2 acuras now, and even the newer ones I test
drove seem to drive better than the new hondas. The honda has a floaty
feeling on the road, but the acura seems way more precise. The wife's TL has 262K miles on it and still runs great, but I'm sensing a dark future with it on the horizon, so its time.

Built in the same plants using the same engines. In fact while I was there there were only 3 variations on the Honda/Acura V-6 engine block. And the only reason that there were 3 is because they were making changes to one of them to have some additional ports.

I've been looking at 3.5L V6 Camry and a V4 Fusion recently.
The Camry drives like a V6. The 1.5 Liter Ford V4 drives like...a V4. However, the 2.0 Liter Ford V4 feels like a V6.
How is that possible? I got to drive the 1.5L and 2.0L Fords back to back so I could feel the difference between the right away. The Camry was a little while ago so I could be misremembering...
Posted by: Barack Obama at April 21, 2014 11:23 PM (M3hAT)
I just checked in so I might be behind on this, but my Fusion 4-cylinder feels like a V6 because a) it's so light, b) it's a 6-speed automatic so it's a smooth transition, and c) it's a 2-liter so it has enough power to move. It's a blast to drive.

It must be a bitch-and-a-half to grow tomatoes in this slime, so local landowners keep pulling chunks of the landscape out, cleaning all the bugs, worms, coffee-grounds, twigs, and roots out.....then slappin' 'em, turnin' 'em, gloppin' 'em around, and firin' 'em (although all the techniques discussed at the museum would probably have the EPA wetting themselves in a panic and it looks like everyone now uses electric kilns).
There was a lot to admire, but I had to fly back on an airplane so I only bought one piece, a small tile with a cicada that is much like this bumblebee that's currently on the website (but more colorful) -- http://tinyurl.com/lcacdl9 . You will note the strong art nouveau / arts + crafts influences, and it certainly doesn't hurt that the artist is cute and personable, as I can attest. Overall, however, it is fascinating that there is an ordinary house, and in the back is a workshop, and in this workshop is a kiln and racks of clay going in and clay coming out, with a little display area. The kiln is about 4' across and 4' high. That's it.

Drove the KIA optima, by far the most impressive interior, everything laid out great, drove nice, had good power and trans shifted nice. Looked great, but under it all lurks a frigging recycled beer can. The hood felt like I could fold it. Brakes seemed a tad weak.
The chrysler 200 was a little missile with its 283HP V6. It was amazingly quiet inside, rode nice, handled nice, and they were practically giving them away, but again there is the reliability thing.
Infinity G37. Damn nice, but pricey.
Mercedes CLA...yeah enough about that.
Mazda 6. Damn impressive. Wish it had a little more power, but was nice with a stick. Overall I could see owning that one. Was damn fun to drive. The hood felt pretty heavy, so it seems to made out of some decent gauge metal. Incredible gas mileage at almost 40mpg
Acura TSX. Very nice, but pisses me off the fucking thing with a 4cyl costs as much as a hemi challenger. 30k for something with a 4cyl is just retarded.
Acura RDX. very nice, but pricey, and not the greatest mpg.
Volkswagon jetta. meh...nice but kind of plain. The diesel had nice torque, but I'm not going to buy a frigging diesel.
Volkswagon passat. yeah, not interested in anything that sounds like pissant.
The wife drove some lexus hybrid just for shits and giggles. She said it was the most dangerous piece of fucking shit she ever sat in. It almost got her killed trying to pull out on the highway because it had zero acceleration.
Its been a hell of a month.

I thought about the A4, a tad pricey but not too bad seeing its in the acura ballpark price wise. Haven't gotten around to that one yet. From what I hear it isn't as reliable as acura, and costs way more to fix, but who knows. Its suppose to be a real nice driver though.

No one can force you to be a believer in Christ. What I have found in my experiences is that the non believers just can't abide the fact that there are believers.
Thus the questioning of each and every word in the Bible. Something the non Christian would never do with the quran.

If you're looking at cars like an Audi A4 or Acura TSX, you might want to inspect the Buick Regal. This is not the bland consumer-mobile of the '90s or 2000s, now. The Regal is based on the Euro Opel Insignia. I bought one this January. Solid, tight car with good handling and mpg.
