Attention Chicago-land Morons: Here's How You Can Make a Difference

Help cut down on some of the rampant Democratic vote fraud in Cook County by becoming a Republican election judge. Otherwise the Democrats get to fill these slots and do anything they like without even a peep of objection.

Democrats hate this woman because systematically she's gone after one avenue of voter fraud after another, removing layers of fraud that Democrats have built into Illinois elections since the first Mayor Daley was magically finding boxes of votes to give John F. Kennedy the edge in 1960.

Her name is Sharon Meroni and she needs your help today.

It's down to the wire and Sharon still needs 500 Republican election judges in Cook County.and she needs them by this coming Thursday.  If she doesn't find 500 more judges, then Democrats will get to fill those positions.just like they have in previous elections.  Democrats use those slots as patronage pay-offs and also enjoy having complete control of polling places.which is how the dead are allowed to vote in many cases or how, mysteriously, people who didn't actually show up to vote end up voting anyway if Democrats need them to in tight elections.  Without a Republican judge in a polling place to prevent this from happening, fraud is institutionalized in Cook County elections.
1. 500 people who live in Cook County who voted Republican in the past (which means they are registered as Republicans in Illinois, because party registration is determined by which ballot you pull in the primaries)

2. Get the word out that these 500 people need to go to www.ElectionJudges.us to apply to be election  judges in Cook County

And you'll get paid $170/day for doing it.

Clinton Still Lies Like The Clinton of Old

This time he slanders George W. Bush by blaming him for Israeli and Palestinian deaths during his presidency:

"And if you look at it, President Bush, when he took office, the second President Bush, I'll never forget he said, "You know the names of every street in the old city and look what it got you. I'm not going to fool with this now."

And immediately the death rate went up among Israelis and Palestinians because there was nothing going on."

But as Clinton knows full well - since it started under his administration - something was going on: the Second Intifada.

In reality, what was "going on" when the "death rate went up" at the beginning of the Bush administration? It was actually the Second Intifada, which began under. President Bill Clinton. Clinton is right that the "death rate" went up. Thousands died in the Palestinian terror war against Israelis civilians that began after the failure of the Clinton Camp David peace talks.

And read on to find out how Clinton spent the final hours of his presidency.

Yay! Beer in the U.S. Is Cheaper Than Anywhere Else in the World

In honor of Oktoberfest, Economist editors used data compiled by international bank UBS about the median wages and average retail prices of a 500mL (pint) beer in 150 countries. Those data were compiled to figure out how many minutes of work it takes the average worker of a country to earn enough money to buy a beer.

USA! USA! USA! (4:50 more of this and I'll have me yet another beer)

Andrew Sullivan: My President-Boyfriend Is Going to be So Super-Awesome in his Second Term

A veritable Reagan he'll be. Yes the mind that once wrote this great essay on Reagan is now reduced to spewing over-the-top homilies to The One that even the North Korean Dept. of Propaganda would find a bit unsubtle:

he will become the Democrats' Reagan. The narrative writes itself. He will emerge as an iconic figure who struggled through a recession and a terrorized world, reshaping the economy within it, passing universal health care, strafing the ranks of al-Qaeda, presiding over a civil-rights revolution, and then enjoying the fruits of the recovery ...

And unlike Clinton's constant triangulating improvisation, Obama has been playing a long, strategic game from the very start-a long game that will only truly pay off if he gets eight full years to see it through. That game is not only changing America. It may also bring his opposition, the GOP, back to the center, just as Reagan indelibly moved the Democrats away from the far left.

What Happens When You Track Down a Vile Internet Troll?

Well Leo Traynor did after suffering years of online anti-semitic abuse as well as threatening notes against his family sent to his home.

I received a parcel at my home address. Nothing unusual there - I get a lots of post. I ripped it open and there was a tupperware lunchbox inside full of ashes. There was a note included 'Say hello to your relatives from Auschwitz' I was physically sick.

I was petrified.
They had my address.
I reported it to the authorities and hoped for the best.

Two days later I opened my front door and there was a bunch of dead flowers with my wife's old Twitter username on it. Then that night I received a DM. 'You'll get home some day & ur b**ches throat will be cut & ur son will be gone.'
I got on to the authorities again but, polite and sympathetic as they were, there didn't seem much that could be done.
Every night for weeks I lost sleep over it. Listening for noises. Opening the door everyday with trepidation. Trying to maintain a semblance of normality and not let my wife or son see that I was dying on the inside. Mortified that they might be in danger because of my big mouth or ancestry.

Then the last straw. I received another tweet, on the public timeline this time 'I hope you die screaming but not until you see me p*ss on ur wife'

Read the whole thing to find out what happened when he finally tracked down the troll and found out who it was.

A Guide to Pooping in Public Bathrooms

  1. You've befouled the public convenience and everyone in the vicinity is aware of your foul deed. What to do? Slowly emerge, shame-faced, followed by a cloud of green hate? No! Flush the toilet while simultaneously kicking open the stall door. Turn back to the toilet and scream, "Back to Hell with you, vile abomination!" This is especially effective if you can convince a priest to accompany you.
  2. Remember; you're not the only one using this bathroom. Be sure to wipe down the seat. Also the walls, floor, and ceiling if necessary.
  3. If you're a gentleman and find yourself in need of a roadside evacuation, look for a craft store. They have a limited male clientele and you can carve out a good two or three hours of private pooping time.
  4. Airport bathrooms are the Wild West of public facilities. Get in, shit on the floor, and get out.

This and cheap beer and the freedom to speak you mind (and pollute public bathrooms) is what makes America great.

"Beer is cheaper in the U.S. than anywhere else in the world"

Shitty beer in the U.S., that is, mass market swill brewed with rice and other such stuff that should never be in beer, is cheaper than anywhere else in the world.

Meanwhile, decent craft microbrews here in the States are getting damned expensive, along with everything else of quality in the Glorious New Era of Chairman Barky.

I'm starting to see freaking _four-packs_ at a price that gives you precious little change back from a ten-spot.

There's my platform for 2012: Cheap Good Beer.

84 I missed the school food thread today but I wanted to point out something most people are missing about this, the federal regulations also control what can be sold for school fundraisers, like the ASB store, at school games, dances etc. and, while I haven't read the legislation to confirm this, our school district is also using the regulations to control all "celebration" food. That means no skittles math, no candy bar from the librarian for completing summer reading programs, and absolutely no "celebration food" for birthdays. Our schools are allowed 3 exceptions a year for treats which they can choose to use as they wish.

100 Tonight on NCIS they inserted the mooches name by one of the characters. I'm in a boycotting mood even tho this has been one of my most beloved shows to watch. I wrote them saying that if they didn't offer up Anne Romney's name in a soon to be aired show that I considered what they did pandering and would no longer watch their show and I would also boycott their advertisers. I'm dead serious in doing this, I'm sick of them being forced on us constantly and the only way of stopping this is to stop watching. As a group we must do that or there will soon be nothing but what the won wants us to watch. We have to begin standing up for our American way of life, it is slowly but surely being stripped away from us.

Pathological liar.

Horndog who constantly two-timed his wife.

If Juanita Broderick is to be believed, rapist.

Needy sociopath with unresolved father issues.

Vulgar, lying SOB.

Hero of the Democrat Party.

These things all tie together.  It's always interesting when people discuss Clinton, and you bring up Juanita Broderick, and gauge how people react to her.  She is a terrible lying bitch, crazy, attention seeker, etc., etc.

Kathleen Willy.Monica Lewinsky.  Linda Tripp, the "Treacherous Tripp" as Geraldo Rivera called her back in 1998.  All these women that people are eager to thrown under the bus.  But it is the Republicans that are the cruel white Patriarchs, with the women hating problems.

As the years go by, it is easy to let the memories fade and think that Bill is really just a regular good old boy, and really personable.

He's a lying two-faced sociopath.  And always will be.

Though, I think there actually is something to this charge. When the Clinton White House was forced to commit on it their official response was something like, "Any claim that the President 20 years ago raped this woman are false."

The President 20 years ago was Jimmy Carter, not Bill Clinton, and remember this is the man that would lawyer the meaning of "is" and "sexual relations".

We don't get much of the story but it didn't seem as if the kid was trying to get Traynor to move away (which proving that one can find and attack anonymously over the internet works against, really) which one might, at least, accept as some sort of reasoning behind the actions. No, they seemed to be entirely for kicks (as Traynor relates) and it appears that it would have gone on for as long as the kid could have continued to pull it off or until he decided to move to the next level. That is really a whole different scenario. Pure sadism for the sake of sadism. That's how I see it, at least.

166 Clinton really is a dick. Meh. Five-and-one-half inches, she said.

I started brewing just weeks after it became legal in the late 70's. Got pretty good at it for a while there. I still do it once in a while, but there's a stage you go through, and after that you're glad you've outgrown it. Like most hobbies, it can take over all your spare time. And, money.

The thing is, if you're brewing for cheap, you have to be very thrifty in your recipes, and that is not easy to do. Copying lite styles or even everyday light-colored lager is a lot trickier than making a good honest bitter. As you start to get good, you get curious about kinds of beer you might never order in a bar, and you end up making a batch of this or that. It's fun -- but it is not cheap.

Most of us will want to use malt extracts, because malting is hugely space-intensive, requires sprouting pans, ties up an oven, you're going to spill grain in several different forms and stages, daring mice to come get it. Just sparging your own will involve a bushel or two of pre-malted grain coming into the kitchen for the whole morning, and you'd better have a place to use the wet spent works because one garbage bag won't hold it. And it's a shame to waste that stuff.

So, the can. And the can gets a little pricey. No matter how well-hopped an instant-mix is, you're a better man than I if you can avoid the temptation to at least dissolve those cute little pellets of a second hop. Then you want to steep dried hop-leaves in a bag, for those bouquet effects, and pretty soon, ka-ching, we're off to the sock-drawer for more cash.

Sorry, long story short, swell hobby but not a real money saver.
Good skill to have, if you learn the whole process from scratch.
You'll learn a lot about beer ingredients and styles. But, if TFG has picked it up, it can pretty well be said to have jumped the shark.

Obama may lose big, or lose narrowly, or even win a narrow election.

But the damage is done, and although I think Romney will work manfully to try and fix a lot of what is broken,  the residue of the Obama presidency will endure for a lot of years.  Why was this man ever elected, or did even get near the nomination for the Presidency?

There are a lot of big and small reasons, but the overiding reason is the total amount of propaganda that was created to sell this inadequate excuse for a politician as being up to the job of being President.

People wanted to believe that this guy could be everything he claimed to be, and the Mass Bullshit Media claimed he was.

So what we have at the end of the day is a news media that is full of liars and propagandists, who can never be trusted again, yet will go full tilt to hinder and attack Mitt Romney if he is elected President.

They learned their lessons well as they continually attacked GWB, and got results.  This beast must either be destroyed or it will kill us.

197 A thought I had on the school lunches long after the thread was dead -- my daughter was a streak eater. She would go sometimes a month without eating hardly a thing; I'm talking about a worry level of non-eating. Then a growth spurt or something would kick in, and so would my grocery bill. A bottomless pit at 70 pounds.

We allowed the kids to pack their own lunches and provided moolah for milk only (which got spent on ice cream for the most part, but hey). So the whole school lunch thing wasn't much of an issue to us. Still, if this eating pattern happened with us I'm sure it happens to others. But teh gubmint is going to have a one size fits all rule and she would have been SOL for growth spurts.

233 In regards to the guy who tracked down his troll.  This all took place in Ireland.  If Dr. Traynor beat the living crap out of the kid I'm sure that he would get a lot more than he would in the US.  Also, if you read carefully, Traynor is apparently in poor health, making harder to administer said beating.  I'm sure that since the troll was the child of friends of his (and his account indicates that he has known this family since the troll was a small boy) also mitigates his actions.
THAT SAID, if it was me, I would tell the kid privately if he ever made any attempt to contact me or mine he would meet a drawn out and painful end. I'd remind him that I found him once and there is nothing he could do to prevent me from finding him again. This kid is probably a sociopath and needs to be watched carefully for the rest of his life.
Dr. Traynor's account indicated that the parents were willing to report their kid to the Garda (the Irish national police), so I think that they have some awareness of what their son is and will do what is needed to protect the public from him.

241 The little troll is 17. If Ireland's laws on minors is anything like ours, not a damn thing would have happened if the police were called in. His parents or lawyer would stall the case in Juvy court until he was 18, then he walks free of any record.

Kind of amazing how many ways people will rationalize cooperating with evil, in large and small ways, to keep some relationship they want, even if it's the acquaitance-cameraderie at the local bar or golf course.

But it happens All. The. Time.  Catholic teaching calls it "human respect" or valuing other men's opinions of you over God's. 260 #215,
There are two posters on the Free Republic board, "LS" and "LdSentinal"who are comparing the absentee votes coming in for OH so far to 2008 and it's looking shockingly good for Republicans. I quote their posts from today - with caveats that numbers change every day etc.

"If you look at the absentee ballots that LdSentinal and I have been tracking, the R numbers are WAY up over 08 and the D numbers are way down. For ex., in Warren County (deep red) which went for McCain 2:1, the ration of R to D absentees has risen to FIVE to one!
In Cayahoga, where Obama won 68-30, the registration ratio now is 54-24. Rs are down six, but Dems are down a whopping 14!!"

"Hmm, if this [the polls] were true why are the Republicans OVERPERFORMING in every county I've looked at so far (Hamilton, Franklin, Cayahoga, Starke) and Obama hugely underperforming in absentee ballots?
Consider Cayahoga, a Dem stronghold, Obama win by 68-30 in 2008. Absentees now showing 54-24 split---Rs down six, but Dems down 14!!!?
Or Franklin (Columbus), which Obama won by 21 points (!!) and now he is trailing in absolute numbers by 5,500 absentee ballots---and that number has increased by 1500 in the past week.
Or Hamilton (Cincy), where Obama won by 7 in 2008 but now the Rs have a 2:1 absentee advantage? "

"Take a look at the absentee ballot numbers coming in across Ohio---I'm not going to post them all again, bu the Rs are ovet performing, sometimes by huge margins, their 2008 percentages and the Dems ar underperforming 2008. Heck, in some cases the GOP is surpassing 2010 levels. Just one example: Warren Co. Went for McCain 2:1 . . . But the r/D absentees are coming in at a rate of five to one .
Now, anything can change and we've only looked at the main counties so far but they all are showing big gOP advantages and/or in Dem counties much smaller margins than what Obama needs to win. "

268 Industry group: bacon, pork shortage ‘unavoidable’

Maybe the Mayans saw this coming in their end of the world prophesies. Those who pray at the temple of bacon could see their world crumbling to bacon bits this winter.

A world shortage of pork and bacon next year is “now unavoidable,” a British industry group said in a press release.

Britain's National Pig Association (NPA) says that pig herds in Europe are shrinking. As if that isn’t bad enough, this trend is “being mirrored around the world,” the group says in the release. Drought conditions, especially in the U.S. and Russia, have taken a toll on the price of the grain crops used for animal feed, and world food prices are expected to reach record highs in 2013.

The number of slaughtered pigs could drop by as much as 10 percent in the second half of next year, the NPA says. This would double the price of European pork and pork products.

270 The clearest commentary on the replacement officiating, as I guessed, came from TMQ: [long quote] • Regular officials handed the ball to the wrong team to start overtime in a Thanksgiving 1998 game. Regular officials made two drastically bad calls in the final seconds of a 1998 Bills-Patriots contest, handing unearned victory to the Patriots. Regular officials made a drastically bad call in the final seconds of a 1998 Jets-Seahawks game, handing unearned victory to the Jets. Regular officials completely botched the ending of the 2003 Giants-49ers playoff game. • There is a Seattle/Pete Carroll harmonic convergence in progress. Carroll was coach of the Patriots when horrible calls at the end handed a victory to him; is now coach of the Seahawks, who were just handed a victory; the Seahawks were victims of the 1998 horrible call in the Jets game. • Calling Seattle and Green Bay back onto the field to stage a meaningless PAT was not a mistake. In high school, the scoring team can waive its try; in the NFL, a try must at least be attempted. This is a vestige of the old tiebreaker system, in which net points was the third tiebreaker. Now net points is the ninth tiebreaker, so clock-expired PATs seem irrelevant. But the requirement is there. Rule 4, 8, 2d: "If a touchdown is made on the last play of a period, the try attempt shall be made (except during a sudden-death period)." After New England was given a bogus touchdown on the last play of the 1998 game, Buffalo coach Wade Phillips pulled his team, not allowing them to participate in a meaningless clock-expired PAT. Officials let the Patriots line up with no defense on the field; kicker Adam Vinatieri jogged into the end zone for two points. Regular officials did that. Had the replacements allowed Seattle to run a PAT with no defense on the field, today the sports world would be outraged. • The subtext of all this is the union angle. The replacement officials crossed a picket line, metaphorically if not physically. Labor organizing is a huge issue in the current presidential campaign. NFL players and coaches may be millionaires, but they are millionaires who belong to unions. The players' and coaches' unions feel the NFL is trying to break them. Both players and coaches have an unstated interest in undermining the NFL's attempt to replace union members with non-union officials. • However this shakes out, don't blame the replacements for a situation they did not create. They are people of average means who were trying to better themselves. They need to exit stage left, but deserve a measure of appreciation -- say, first claim on future NFL officiating openings.

283 @277 Yes, it is a shame, but a mistake The Industry makes a lot. Due to the deep levels of organization required, I guess. but tragic.

A car gets its personality from the designers, has some attitude added by the kind of spirit there is on the shop floor, and then passes to the tender mercies of a marketing crew and their drugged up buds, who couldn't even be in that department if they knew or cared anything about cars. Sickening, in a way. Boob-bee! Try to see this my way! [snort]

GM choked on this, generation after generation. Finally it killed them.
And poor old Mercury, which in its day was a class act, got shipped off to Cali to die. California is a two-edged sword, the Asians are finding out: it was a hot port of entry, stylistically, but has almost nothing in common with the United States. An image-factory for themselves only.

Now, they can eat and enjoy while i feed the young by slicing the bananas into small pieces that's easy for them to digest, This product is aces in my book and if you have 27 trained monkeys that will help you take over the land of OZ, i highly recommenced this product. 287 Here's some more quotes from "LS" on Free Republic today to raise your spirits about OH absentee voting:

"Absentee ballot requests in OH not supporting drive-by interpretations of polls. Quite the contrary.
So far-—and I repeat, anything can change-—Rs doing REALLY well in absentee voting. Cayahoga, which went 68-30 for Obama (a Dem stronghold) is now at 54-24, a six point drop for Rs but a 14 point drop for Zero.
Hamilton County, which Obama carried by 7 in 2008, is at 2:1 REPUBLICAN absentee requests.
Franklin, which went for Obama by 21 (!!) shows a GOP lead of 5300 and that lead has increased since last week.
Here's another one that LdSentinal found: Warren county, which McCain won 67-31, but now Rs are coming in at a rate of FIVE to one!
In short, so far (and I have to make that qualifier), EVERY county except Cayahoga that we've looked at either has a R lead that is growing and that is well above its 2008 levels. In the case of Cayahoga, while it's Dem-heavy, Obama is performing 14 points below 2008 levels! "

"It's impressive. Better numbers in Franklin than in 2008 where Kasich lost the county by only 9%.
It's those unaffiliated voters I'm most concerned about.
Overall, there have been 734,000 absentee ballots requested state-wide.
Two years agao, Cuyahoga and Franklin counties [Obama counties] accounted for more than half of the early vote.
So far, this year, only 32%"

293 Another Hurtzler Banana Slicer review;

http://tinyurl.com/9ftrw4h

What can I say about the 571B Banana Slicer that hasn't already been said about the wheel, penicillin, or the iPhone.... this is one of the greatest inventions of all time. My husband and I would argue constantly over who had to cut the day's banana slices. It's one of those chores NO ONE wants to do! You know, the old "I spent the entire day rearing OUR children, maybe YOU can pitch in a little and cut these bananas?" and of course, "You think I have the energy to slave over your damn bananas? I worked a 12 hour shift just to come home to THIS?!" These are the things that can destroy an entire relationship. It got to the point where our children could sense the tension. The minute I heard our 6-year-old girl in her bedroom, re-enacting our daily banana fight with her Barbie dolls, I knew we had to make a change. That's when I found the 571B Banana Slicer. Our marriage has never been healthier, AND we've even incorporated it into our lovemaking. THANKS 571B BANANA SLICER!

297 Hurtzler again;

Funny how I just stumbled on this product while searching for those corn on the cob holder thingies. Well, here I am (two weeks later) a changed man. Needless to say I ordered this (my 4th) banana slicer with some reservations. I don't want to sound archaic, but I really thought the "build a better mousetrap" theory was a bust after buying my third banana slicer. Look, I'm a fan of technology sleeping with convenience just like any other johnny banana slicer, but it took FOUR tries before I realized one simple fact: LASERS ARE NOT OBLIGATORY IN THE EFFORT TO SLICE FRUIT. And look - we ALL feel like a heel for trying the banana slicer iPhone App (FAIL!), but you know, in desperate moments, $1.00 seems like a steal. Long story short: Not only could a monkey appreciate the simplicity and efficiency of this product - he might even be able to afford it.

300 Hurtzler cont'd

I love this product, it works very well on bananas. Even if you are working with an abnormally small banana it still does the job. I do wish they would make one for those of us who prefer really big bananas. When I luck out and find a really BIG banana I get so excited but then I wind up squishing off the tip and I find that really bothers me. I suppose I could make do with 2 smaller ones but I really prefer the big ones.

303 Belgium is already lost
You know, hog-raising has become problematic in northern Europe.
Denmark has been buying out and re-settling its famous hog farmers for years. Each time I see Danish hams or ribs in the store, I don't know if it's the last I'll ever see.

Polish hams used to be a delicacy around here. There was a scandal, you may remember, when Solidarnosc found truckloads of them headed for Russia, while Poles were about to have sawdust sausage for Christmas. Well I haven't been able to find one (in a mainline store) for years.

I think this "worldwide bacon shortage" isn't any shortage at all. Europe is just getting rid of its hogs. They're, you know, offensive to some people.
(Truth be told, next door they're offensive to anybody, but it's not the hogs' fault, bless their hearts).

I was surfing through the intranet, searching for a genious device that would revolutionize my mornings, noons, and evenings, and sometimes midnights. My love for nanners isn't like my love for appies, strawgaboos, pearbears, or garlic, it's so much more than all that. It's what wakes me up in the mid afternoon, it's why I live. Seriously, I'd be done for if it wasn't for sweet nanners. I like nanners all kinds of ways; I like nanner sauce, nanner in the nude, nannernuts, nanner jam, nannersickles... 315 What would a review be without a sockpuppet;

I recently found myself in the market for an effective "banana" slicing product. I had used a much more inefficient older model several years ago that, while ultimately effective, definitely needed some improvement. The previous model was somewhat clumsy and required me to use more of a "sawing" motion in order to sever...errr...slice the "banana", not to mention the need for vodka and a significant helping of sleeping pills...umm, as I was saying... This product looked to be a godsend; less arm strength required and you get more slices in one shot (which makes portability of the "banana" a non-issue). See, I personally feel very strongly that when one slices a "banana" one shouldn't have to settle for half-way. Honestly, if I can toss a sliced "banana" out of the window of a moving vehicle into, let's say, a roadside forest it shouldn't be able to be found again and REATTACHED as a WHOLE NEW BANANA...are you KIDDING ME!!! This product would make that virtually impossible - WINNING!! **AHEM** anyhoo, I would have liked to have given this excellent item a better rating but I had to go with just one star as it only comes in one size and I happen to need it a bit smaller *sigh*

MrsCaniac and I both fell asleep watching it when it came out on video. It was a 2 video movie and we thought we had put the wrong tapes in, it was that disjointed.

And now I see that it lost to Dances with Wolves instead of that POS.

472 Foe example, in Gangs of New York, Bill the Butcher was based on Butcher Bill Poole, leader of The Bowery Boys. Their trademark was that they were very dapper. They wore fancy suits with top hats all the time. They had a huge guy named Mose who, legend has it, once lifted a trolley car.

Butcher Bill, by comparison, was just some grubby psycho gutter-thug who bored me.

473 i like how Sullivan says that if and when a recovery happens, OBAMA will be enjoying the fruits (lol sorry) of it. fuck him, seriously. there was actually a time when he made decent arguments in favor of his pet issue, but i guess he felt his arguments were so bulletproof (i won't even get into how monogamy fits into his version of "marriage") that all there's left to do is take potshots at demonic Christianisssssts.

Nudity, plus easy access to porn:  I saw an on-line  vid in which  about five hundred Japanese couples all "did it" at the same time, in one very big room.

It's not historical inaccuracy that's the problem. As you point out, the characters seem less interesting. The movie suffers from a ham fisted style that just across as... boring. God, but Dicaprio was awful. It astonishes me how Scorsese could take such an interesting primise, populated by potentially dozens of great characters and produce what he did. D. Day-Lewis was great in it though. Needed more DL, less LD.

If you want to see a really good Clint Eastwood movie, 'Trouble With the Curve' is a must see.  A seriously good story.  Gus Lobel is cranky and not gracefully going into the night.  His daughter Mickey, named after Mickey Mantle, is about to be made partner in her law firm.  And Gus finds his eyesight is going while his vocation as a baseball scout is threatened by spreadsheets. Amy Adams as Mickey is awesome.  Even Justin Timberlake as Fireball, another scout, is good.  John Goodman does a nice job as Gus' boss.  And best of all, not a single gosh darn CGI explosion in the movie.

Right around the turn of the century there was a little bit of a push from Hollywood to make her out to be some sort of gorgeous sexpot. Teen boys in sitcoms were talking about her the way boys in 60s sitcoms might've talked about Marilyn Monroe if broadcast standards hadn't been so strict. When I later saw Ggyylleennhhaall, I thought she was on the weak side of average, and all those attempts at puffing her up sort of put me off and caused me to find her sort of disgusting.

For the baseball fans, this movie will be like Nirvana.  Even when one of the teen players is a gold plated arse.  Lots of baseball trivia and other goodness involved.  T1000 plays the GM for the Atlanta Braves.  And for a good chunk of the movie Mickey wears a baseball cap with the Tomahawk logo on it.

Help cut down on some of the rampant Democratic vote fraud in Cook County by becoming a Republican election judge. Otherwise the Democrats get to fill these slots and do anything they like without even a peep of objection.

I do not understand?  What do the Republicunt Liberturdians hope to achieve in Illinois?  If you could come up with a candidate other than Joe Walsh, who is a mindless Scott Walker wannabe, you might have half a shot.  There is no need to cheat at the polls.  And I'd like to see SOME, just some, substantiation of "rampant Democratic vote fraud" please.  Thanks.  Now go back to being spit roasted by a donkey in your mouth, and a rhino in your soft, sweet, yielding asses, YPLOCHC.

Olivia Wilde is a Red Diaper Baby too.

Wilde was born in New York City. Her mother, Leslie Cockburn (née Redlich), is an American-born 60 Minutes producer and journalist. Her father, Andrew Myles Cockburn, a journalist, was born in London to British parents, and raised in Ireland; her uncles, Alexander Cockburn and Patrick Cockburn, also worked as journalists. Wilde's older sister, Chloe Cockburn, is a civil rights attorney in New York; her aunt, Sarah Caudwell, was a writer, and her paternal grandfather, Claud Cockburn, was a novelist and journalist.

577 Way late, as usual. First....election judges in Chicago? Would anyone actually listen to them? I'm in Philly, a city that rivals Chicago for sheer Dem political douchebaggery, and there are many polling places that simply will refuse entry to a GOP poll watcher, or toss him/her out if they object too often. The GOP in the city is virtually non-exisitant, and complaints are never followed up on. Hell, it took awhile to get those Black Panthers locked up, and of course Holder ain't gonna care.

Sports movies....I love Slap Shot, many great lines. The movie is extremely dated which adds to it's charm. Miracle was great, Major League ok, the original Longest Yard as well. And what Philadelphian doesn't love Rocky? (at least the original)? But most sports movies come off as contrived, I can't enjoy the obviously fake action, eg: Any Given Sunday.

Republicans oppose same-sex marriage because they are theocrats, they oppose abortion because they are theocrats...and they did what they did on the debt ceiling because they are fundamentalists (MARKET fundamentalists you see, and possibly racist,) same on healthcare, etc. etc. and to Sullivan being a "fundamentalist" is the worst, most un-conservative thing in the world. basically, before he flipped to the Dems he could've just been honest and cast himself as a heterodox (ha) conservative, but no, it has to be about redefining conservatism to fit whatever his own personal preferences are (which is easy when he casts conservatism as just some vague temperament)

Deathcore, and metalcore more generally, is more melodic with lots of breakdowns.

Traditional death metal has faster, heavier riffs and lots of tempo changes.

It's the Bob Ezrin involvement. All of the great Alice Cooper albums had him involved. The others only sparkled here and there. Ezrin was also responsible for a reworking a lot of lyrics on Pink Floyd's The Wall. Roger Waters' original version of a lot of the songs were often lacking something that got the point across. The material was so personal to Waters he didn't know how to express it for someone who didn't know him well.

Bob Ezrin, the great unsung music hero of the 70s.

Wouldn't happen unless it was an actual Team Obama plot. There are a lot more Muslims who would like to avenge Bin Laden than ever know who Romney is.

645 Japanese live porn is something to avoid at all costs.

*shudder*

Japanese porn is better than German porn. For a country that doesn't make babies they sure like to pretend with funnels and turkey basters and stuff.

The Chinese are doing it with machine now. This must be the next step in the evolution. That, or it's how they deal with the shortage of Chinese women.

I am still reeling from last the previous ONT, as you can tell, and I am wondering which Mo is going to fashion the machine into the style of a goat.

Liberals aren't stupid. The plan is to convert all cars to electric but not build any more power plants. This will jack up the cost of electricity so that most people can't afford to drive, thus saving the planet. Limousine liberals will not be affected.

You say this like she's an octopus. Come to think of it, an octopus would make a good helicopter pilot.  And copilot. And two door gunners.
