The Dems may try to bring back the idea of a 'Federal Gun Registration'...like they did in 2009, just as Barky took office.
It was Bobby Rush from Chicago, who put forth that Bill.
It didn't get very far.
But that was then...and this is now.
A Federal Gun Registration, as it was proposed...would require every gun owner to apply for a 'Federal Permit' in order for them to legally still own the guns that they already have.
The application for that Federal Permit, required you to list all the firearms that you have in your possession.
Perfect, huh?
That way they can say "permit denied!" and then they would have a list of what firearms you have.

"The leftard worldview is amazing. They want to take my firearms away because a lunatic who should have been locked up wasn't"
And of course the reason why the lunatic wasn't locked up was because of leftards having destroyed the concept of involuntary institutionalization. Thanks to their idea that the insane have "civil rights".
Letting crazy people out of the asylums onto the public streets didn't make the crazies any less crazy. It just turned the public streets into an open air asylum.

Oh, the gun grabbers might get something meaningless like a return to 10 round magazines for semi-automatics, which will accomplish absolutely nothing since there are millions of 100% legal large-capacity magazines, but I don't see a real transformation of our 2nd Amendment rights from this tragedy.
I actually think gun control is one of the few issues americans are actually somewhat "wise". Anyone with a shred of intellectual honesty knows these shooting have everything to do with mental illness and absolutely nothing to do with our gun laws, and I think even the dumb shits in our country get that.

It's more than that. It is my understanding that the perpetrator was being raised by a single mother. It is my belief that single women are not well suited to raise male children without the male children developing narcissistic or psychopathic tendencies. There is a certain benefit to having a male around to impart some self control to the little buggers by smacking the shit out of them when they start r mouthing off.
And thereby they learn how to behave in society.

buried in a pvc pipe? I'm thinking they could. And if they come after
our weapons, they'll be coming with metal detectors.
Posted by: Soona at December 17, 2012 03:27 PM (I1x6h)
After
you bury the pvc pipe, you scatter shot the entire area with buckshot.
Too much metal. Drive 'em nuts looking for needles in the haystack.

Why does it sound like you have done this before?
Posted by: Alex at December 17, 2012 03:32 PM (uFY4s)
Nah. Dig down about 3 ft in a flower bed next to your fence. Then dig about 3 feet sideways UNDER THE FENCE so that the PVC container actually sits under your hoplophobe libtard neighbor's backyard.

I don't believe I'll hide a single weapon I own. The Constitution affirms my right to keep and bear, so that will do just fine.
I will NOT allow any entity to seize those tools.
In any case, should things deteriorate to that extent, lawful government will long have ceased to exist.

Everything that they say and do is for the opposite purpose. Progressives are regressives in disguise.
So when they say that they want to protect citizens by taking away their guns they really want to protect themselves and their centrally planned totalitarian oligarchy.
The best insight in that piece was that Columbine was a "gun free zone".

Go ahead and ban 30-round clips. Highest capacity clip I ever saw was just eight rounds anyway.
Now, high-capacity magazines - leave them alone.

Now may or may not be the best of times to fight back with personal tragedies but it's exactly what is needed to hold off the fascists.
The Left lives to exploit tragedy, to cover themselves in pathos, and declare "Something must be done!" We'd do well to bring our own emo-ganda to the battle and shove it down their throats.
You there in favor of banning guns, tell this women she can't defend herself against her insane ex. Tell this vet that his service to his country now includes dying on a street corner for pocket change. Tell this immigrant store owner that his livelihood is less important than a thug's.

What about Fast and Furious? That program deliberately put guns into the hands of criminals, allowed 2 federal agents to be killed by them, and no one still has all the answers yet. Any stupid libtard screaming for govt to control the guns completely forgets that the same govt did this.

Politicians understand the psychology behind loss: they play on anger, and most of all, BARGAINING. We all want to BARGAIN... to make sure the loss we have seen others experience won't happen to us. Most importantly, we want a deal that COSTS US NOTHING... Others should be forced to sacrifice so we'll feel better about ourselves. When the people expected to sacrifice present debate, THEY MUST BE VILIFIED... That way we get to lash out at someone to show ourselves we aren't the powerless creatures we fear we are.
Unfortunately, THERE ARE NO BARGAINS THAT GUARANTEE PEACEFUL EXISTENCE OR FREEDOM FROM RANDOM ACTS OF INSANITY. To want to protect our children is noble... to refuse to accept reality is DANGEROUS. This is the deodand fallacy: "This is the accursed item! It contains the seed and soul of evil itself! If we burn it, we will cleanse our society!!!" Pure show business.THIS IS WHY THEY ALWAYS DEMAND IMMEDIATE ACTION: if you are given time to think, you'll reach "acceptance'... and after that you'll begin to apply LOGIC to the problem. They don't want that. They can't prevail if that happens.
