— Ace And Romney isn't even running ads there.
I guess Obama really isn't either.
That may change.
Two percentage points separate President Obama and Republican nominee Mitt Romney in a state poll conducted for the Tribune-Review, even though the campaigns largely are ignoring Pennsylvania and concentrating on other battlegrounds.Obama polled 47 percent to Romney's 45 percent among likely Pennsylvania voters, with 6 percent of voters undecided and 44 days until Election Day, according to the survey by Susquehanna Polling & Research. The survey of 800 voters, conducted Sept. 18-20, has a margin of error of 3.46 percentage points.
...
Fifty-one percent of the stateÂ’s voters approve of ObamaÂ’s job performance.

Honestly, I'd ignore this poll but (a) I enjoy the libs getting a taste of their own medicine and (b) we'll see if it has merit if either campaign starts spending money there.

Unfortunately you are right. Mitt Romney is a horrible candidate. I am laughing at the RINOs who pushed Romney saying he was invincible and moderates would flock to him. Instead he is McCain 2.0.
If the Republican Party loses, they need to go out of business and a new Center-Right Party should take it place. None of the social issue crap, just fiscal issues.

It's social issues why many parts of the country don't vote Republican. There is a bad economy and Obama may win. It's due to a combination of Romney being a terrible candidate and the nasty image the Republican Party has because of social issues. A Libertarian leaning GOP would destroy the Democrats.

Then which swing states is he going to win exactly? Just give up? How does he win the electoral college if all of these are a loss? These are legitimates question and not a trolling ones. Romney is down 4-5 in swing states but they always lag behind national polls. (It's easier to weed out bounciness with a bigger net - think of it that way). State polls will start moving toward Romney in the next week.

An open message to the trolls:
Your mission is to discourage us, and you are failing.
Conservatives will crawl over broken glass to vote Romney/Ryan in November, and R/R will win.
Obamacare will be repealed. This is only the start. Romney, Ryan, and the Republican presidents
that come after them will erase the deficit, balance the budget, reduce entitlement spending,
make us energy self-sufficient, pass right-to-work laws, and beef up our military.
You know how you felt watching events unfold in Wisconsin? The horrified, world-turned-upside-down
feeling as Walker was elected, Prosser defeated Kloppenburg, the recalls of state senators failed to get Democrats
back in the majority, and Walker beat the recall? Get used to that feeling, because you'll be feeling it
a lot over the next few decades as the blue-model welfare state is dismantled. Everything you hold dear will be thrown down and destroyed.
The people here that insult or ignore you? Get used to that too. As America kicks leftist dogma to the curb,
no one will want to hear from sorry, sewer-level representatives of a failed ideology, and you'll spend more
and more time alone in your parent's basement, with tears of frustration in your eyes at how increasingly difficult
it is to masturbate your miniscule, flaccid member to climax to the fading Obama poster on your wall.
Eventually, you will die, embittered and alone, your Marxist utopia never having come to pass.
You will be forgotten and unvisited except for
the occasional stray dog lifting its leg on your grave marker.

Sorry PPP which is still garnered with the (D) after its name even with RCP is a joke...lol.....Go over to JimGeraghty at NRO look at whose registrations are up in NC this time and which are down from 2008 in several states including NC....the DEMS are down from 2008 while the GOP is up and that includes Florida, NC, Colorado, New Mexico and Iowa!!

I love the "We Are Hungry" parody. I think the "Healthy Hunger Free Act" was another one of those "we have to pass it to see what's in it pieces of legislation. It also once again proves that the Democrats really suck at the law of unintended consequences.
Hungry kids at school perform worse, not really helping their demographic get better educated now are they? Also, hungry kids come home ravenous and don't make smart meal choices at that point thereby ingesting more calories. Plus, when they swapped out the chocolate milk for only 2% suddenly a lot of kids who were getting their only dairy for the day in that chocolate milk (vitamin D, calcium anyone) stopped drinking any milk.

Cook County Illinois need 500 election judges. If you live in Cook County, are a registered Republican (voted republican in past primaries) and are willing to work on site at a polling place for the whole election day for $170.00, go to www dot Electionjudges dot us to apply.
Sharon Meroni is fighting the Dem Machine and the Illinois GOP cocktail party ennuists. She needs you by THIS THURSDAY, or all the unfilled election judge spots go to Dems as usual. 500 sounds like a shit-ton, but Ms. Meroni, a suburban Chicago mom has gotten farther in fighting against the ChicagoWay than anyone, and this can make a huge difference...maybe even history. Be a part of it.
If you have questions about qualification, call 312-242-1818

In the 2008 election PA was a ~D+10 state for Obama. In the 2010 elections, PA had a Governor and Senator up for election.
The Republican WON both of them handily:

And if Scott Walker was running the press would be doing EXACTLY the same number on him they're doing on Romney - painting him as a wild rightwing extremist. They'd be pointing out that he was Milwaukee County Exec 2 years ago - and what does he know about foriegn policy? (More than JEF, but that's not the point.) I am very concerned. Virgil Goode, former VA Democrat turned Republican congressman, is running for President on the Constitution party. (Yes, Virgina, there really is a Constitution party.) Goode is an ardent gun rights advocate, a supporter of big tobacco, and a vocal oppenent of gay rights. So I'm concerned Goode will cost Romney both Virginia and North Carolina. If the GOP had nominated a real Socon like Huckabee (coff, coff) or Santorum (coff coff coff) or Rick Perry (haruuuuumph), Obama would be so far behind that the Dems would have just given up by now. So, like I said, I am really very very very concerned. Also a little constipated.

Romney has been a far better candidate than I was expecting. He doesn't "correct" supporters who describe Obama as "treasonous". He's not being overshadowed by his brilliant VP pick. He even makes fun of Obama, and lets his staff make fun of things like dog-eating. He wants to defeat Obama and be our President; after 2008, that actually means something.
He is so not McCain.

"He got healthcare reform passed" - Obamacare is a jobkiller that is hurting our economy and raising healthcare costs.
" the stimulus bill passed" - added a trillion to the debt but didnt work. more than $1 million in cost per job created, net result was negative.
" the auto industry rescue passed that saved hundreds of
thousands of jobs" _ Laughable BS. It saved nothing but the fat union
pensions, by taking $25 billion of taxpayer money and use it to shore
that up, while ripping off Chrysler bondholders. Auto jobs depend on auto sales, and nothing Obama did increased final auto sales. OTOH, his overall economic mismanagement decreased it.
"Thirteen straight quarters of positive GDP growth" The weakest recovery in 75 years! Half the AVERAGE growth since WWII (inclusive of recessions). Whereas Reagan's recovery had 4.5% growth in 1984, we are suffering under a mere 1.5% GDP growth in recent quarter, and growth is projected to SLOW in 2nd half 2012 and 2013. It's getting worse!
" 30 straight months of positive employment growth"
'positive'? It should be 'pathetic'. It's pathetic that job growth is not exceeding the population growth. Average jobs gains are only about 120,000 per month, it needs to be almost 200,000 to exceed merely the population growth; we had months of 600,000 - 700,000 job gains under Reagan recovery. and now unemployment claims are trending UP. Unemployment still over 8%. And we have more long-term unemployed than every before in our history.
Obama's been a failure on jobs.
"housing prices stabilized and rising, DOW up 100%"
Credit
the Fed for pumping trillions into the economy, pumping up Wall Street,
but main street is still hurting due to Obama's bad policies.
"corporate profits at record highs, corporate cash on hand at record levels" All due to companies operating OVERSEAS and realizing they cannot repatriate it without paying high corporate income tax rates - so it is stranded.
", Iraq War ended" Yes, he drew down troops according to the overall plan and timetable that Bush laid out and which Obama originally opposed. But a collossal FUBAR by Obama led to NO Status of Forces Agreement, so our opportunity to secure and maintain the gains that cost much in blood and treasure are LOST as Iran moves in to become the power broker in Iraq.
" OBL gone forever, Khaddafi gone forever."
Al Qaeda is Alive,
our ambassador is dead.
And Obama's Cairo speech and his claims are now a joke and his mideast policy a shambles.
Obama doesnt under economics, leadership, American values and 'peace through stength'. Obama's cluelessness has hurt us at home and abroad.
People complain about Romney's 'specifics'. Well, the only specifics Obama is proposing are repeats of his failed policies of the last 4 years. 4 more years of Obama's failed policies will lead to disaster.

Well, it is true that "Generic Republican" was beating Obama in polls earlier this year.
Too bad we never nominated that Generic guy.

It's the 3rd inning and you know how the game will end? You know Romney, who is up in polls versus 10 days ago, is losing? Really!?!
Take your skills to Vegas. You could make a killing.

If we have even a long shot at PA, which hasn't gone Republican since Bush the Elder's first run in 1988, we're winning in a landslide.

Does that tell you something?
Oh, and while the better half and I were out with friends tonight, I saw a couple of Romney ads on Comcast SportsNet (the Philly sports channel).
---
There are things that are happening under the radar that lead me to believe that PA may actually be in play for a change. It's not gonna be easy, but it can be done.
---
One of the outshoots of tonight's socializing is two ex-Dems in Romney's corner now... our friends, who were the kind of congenital Democrats PA has in droves in the heavily Catholic areas (Philly, Pgh, Scranton), are now committed anti-Obots.
Anecdotal, to be sure, but it's gonna take a friendly ground game to git 'r' done.

I also get a call a day for barry, and volunteer every Weds night for barrys' phone bank. Of course I want to actually show up.
"Are you voting for barry, or are you a racist shit head"?
What are you wearing? To a guy!
Suggestions?
