— Ace Romney:

I know I already posted that second picture, but the contrast is so keen.
This is what the NYT calls a "draw."

sorta glued themselves to the happy Romney family on stage for longer than was necessary. I kept wondering when they'd separate off of the Romney victory party. Clearly, they wanted to bask in some of that glow.
Then Mitt(probably wondering why the Obamas
were acting as part of his family) separated himself by going over to his podium(in pic).
Good move. Even the Obamas got the drift and left the stage.

Go check @oliviafox on Twitter. She said exactly that. "Everything he does is well thought out."
Really? So he meant for Solyndra to go bankrupt? We wanted a credit downgrade? He meant for unemployment to be 8%+? He wanted Chris Stevens murdered in Libya?
Everything is well thought out???????
There are no words.

As usual, others in the house tuned in the Toady show, and there was Andrea Mitchell, dissing Rmoney: "He's gonna raise taxes trillions of dollars!!11!! He's gonna kill Big Bird!!11!!" OH, NOEZ!!eleventy!!
I didn't click on it, but the NY Slimes appears to have an editorial saying that debates are Bad.
So the butthurt is strong today. But remember this: Osama Obama can still pull this thing off with the help of his media buddies and the nation's vast quantities of idiots and slackers. This is not the time to go all Poppin' Fresh on the Traitor-in-Chief. Instead, it's time to bore in, punch harder, and make the worthless little fuckweasel wish he had never gone into politics..

That was a really good one amongst a night of really good ones. On PBS: "I actually even like you too Jim" was a monster F-YOU to the moderator. But my absolute fav was "Mr. President, your job entitles you to your own house and your own plane, but it does not entitle you to your own facts." Boom. Not only is he calling him a liar, but it's a subtle insult to Obama the person. "Your job entitles you..."

Yeah. Very much.
That day I had just finished an 18-hour straight-through drive from Ft. Benning to Ft. Riley, KS at 6 am that morning. The sky was grey, the earth was brown, it was cold and overcast, and the entire 1st Infantry Division was in Germany for an exercise, so there was this eerie feeling of "nobody is home"
Then I woke up at 3 pm and I watched my Pats get the epic beat down of the century after scoring first.
The next day the Challenger blew up.
It was a very depressing week.

Not only did Romney expose him for what a clueless pillock he is, he exposed the MFM and their role in this. All in 90 minutes.
One of his biggest problems is that he has been falsely proclamed to be a genius when in truth he's not a very deep thinker. He parrots lines that he was fed by Frank Marshall Davis, by his college professors, by his community organizing background. But in fairness to him, modern liberalism is intellectually defunct. Lots of ten dollar words wrapped around ten cent theories.

I'm just scanning the web (and listening to the TV commentators). Romney certainly seemed to be trying to win, and Obama was quite mellow. Obama dished out policy points and always sounded steady, if a bit tired at times, but I think he was relying on his famous likeability, occasionally flashing his famous smile (for little reason). Romney might have gotten too passionate, but he was bubbling with policy ideas, and the message was: Give me the job, let me work for you, I can help<<<<<<<

The democrats are furious at Jim Lehrer for not covering for their king, and bailing him out at every opportunity. I, for one, think Lehrer did a surprisingly good job of staying out of the way and letting the candidates spar with each other. Debates are about the candidates debating their competing ideas, not about how the media can spin it or throw 'gotchas' at the men. Any journalist criticizing Lehrer is doing it because he went back to the old style of debate, ala Lincoln-Douglas or Reagan-Carter, where the candidates themselves are required to pick apart each others' arguments.

Yes, seriously, that's their point.

Mooch is about to get a $35mil mansion on a beach on Oahu. I'm sure she has told choom-boy that if he does anything to mess it up, like wining a second term, that she'll drop a dime on the Down Low Club.

My wife and I were pretty hammered by 9:30 even though we didn't start til about 8:30. You know, early celebration, nothing to do with being nervous about the debate. By the end I was doing TD signals and making "boom" sounds.
Every once in a while, at a critical time, Obama being pampered by the Palace Guard media comes back to bite him. Like last night. Romney seemed to know far more and to know Obama's talking points as well as he did. Romney did something Republicans need to do far more often:
ATTACK THE TALKING POINTS
It doesn't matter if the facts are on your side if the Democrat drops some talking point like "he wants to destroy the middle class" "the policies which got us into this mess" or "he wants to give trillions to the wealthy" and you just talk about the facts and figures of your tax plan, you lose.
Romney, on the other hand, clearly won last night's debate on the talking points and on the facts.

Round one in tonight's main event, two gargantuan giants in the sport. Obingo in his corner preparing to rain his carefully crafted clue blows down upon his opponents head. Mitt in his corner double checking his math...
And there's the bell, and OH!! Mitt goes in and cuts him off, mid lie!
Ladies and gentlemen the Bronx is burning. I think he hurt Obingo. I think he's hurt... Mitt's trainer right next to me is saying it, you may hear him--
DOWN GOES Obingo! DOWN GOES Obingo! DOWN GOES Obingo!
The heavyweight champion is taking the mandatory eight count, and Mitt is as poised as can be in a neutral corner!

If obama (no capitalization) thinks he can rely on Joe Biden to recapture some form of momentum, he's a bigger fucking retard than we all thought. Ryan will use Biden like a handful of toilet paper after a buffet dinner at a Mexican restaurant.

Look at everything Governor Romney has. Look at Ann versus Michelle. Is it right and just that this handsome multimillionaire with the beautiful blonde take the presidency from a big-eared African-American / Hawaiian / Indonesian kid with a funny name? He doesn't need one more trophy for his trophy case. He can buy his own yacht and doesn't need one subsidized by taxpayers.
I still believe in an America that will honor the less intelligent, less industrious among us who realize there are a lot of smart people out there. There are a lot of hard-working folks out there. Let them do their thing...and let me have four more years to redistribute it so everyone gets a fair share.

Luckily for Obama, his next chance to recapture momentum is the Biden v. Ryan debate. Failing that, there is a chance to espouse on his foreign policy successes. Don't worry, I sense the Come Back Kid narrative getting started.
That's for certain. I also expect at least one of the polling outfits to push a new poll today or tomorrow that shows Obama with a lead in order to push the claim that the debate was a draw and that he is still the frontrunner.

If we'd had a partisan audience booing Romney at points and giving Obama the adulation he thrives on, that's the one thing that might have saved the evening from the Democrats.
Is the next debate same format? The last is town-hall style, right?

"Green energy subsidy 50 x greater than oil, and I'd scrap deduction when rates come down"
That was a thing. A debate can make one guy look like the truth-teller and all around reasonable man. When Romney capped it with "you've only picked losers" and named all the failed solar companies you could sort of hear Obama hitting the canvas.

That was one striking thing last night, it was a real debate. Not trading stump speeches to get applause. Kudos to the crowd for allowing a real debate to happen. I told my wife last night that I didn't recall any crowd being that quiet.

" They're going to start hammering Mitt on this "details..."
Details, as in part of a plan? A plan, like say, oh, a federal budget? A federal budget, something we haven't seen in four years?
"specifically the end of his closing remarks you'll hear the dog whistle, "And everybody's getting a fair share..."
The look in his eyes when he realized his error was clear he knew right away that it was a slip up."
Exactly right, saw and heard that too. Can't be giving the marxist game away until after the elections...tsk, tsk, jeffy.
