Romney 47% Obama 44%...
— CAC

in Wisconsin, per Rasmussen.

Full poll link when upped on his site.

Looks like our discussion yesterday on the Blue Wall takes another interesting turn.

Obama still leads here in the average, with that poll included, but we certainly need to focus on these "safe" states of his that look anything but. What better way to crush his hopes, see him running from the purple states, and hear the cries of his fans along the way?

Put another way...

5 CAC, have you seen a poll that said that 1/3rd of union households right now are backing Obama (which would be in line with last week's outcome as well)? I heard this on the radio and haven't seen a link on it yet.

That would be....unprecedented.

Today's forecast:  DOOM.

Posted by: Jaws at June 13, 2012 06:27 AM (4I3Uo)

14 I'm getting nervous. With all this bad news for Obama, I'm afraid this makes it all the more likely for them to resort to some type of dirty trick or other public agitation or false information to distract from Obama's poor record and rally the voters to his side.

The first type of incident that comes to mind will be some poorly thought out military adventure.
Next would be stirring the racial pot in some manner that requires Federal intervention
Last but not least would be a misleading or made up claim of a cyber attack that requires limitations on internet use by the public.

It's the cornered rat that's most likely to bite.

The pressure is building too fast too soon.

If he falls on his ass best for him to lose spectacularly and give Dems time to regroup than pulling something foolish. Enough of the paranoid election cancellation theory. The left did plenty of that loony garbage in 2004. Focus on real things, like manipulation of labor data. Or the digging of the dirt on Romney.

Usually they stay high during the summer due to increased demand from vacation driving. Are people not going on vacation?  I would figure that due to the economy driving vacations would be up while the big "flying" vacations would be down.

108 "Enough of the paranoid election cancellation theory. The left did plenty of that loony garbage in 2004."
=============

This bit of paranoid conspiracy theorizing has been around longer than that. I first heard about it on the Art Bell show in the lead up to the 2000 election. You mentioned 2004; I also heard it in 2008. And it's happening again this year. It seems to me that a certain segment of the party out of power always goes here.

I'm mildly sympathetic, because I was dumb enough to consider it back in 2000 (stupid Art Bell!), but it's unfortunate that it still persists.

109 Schadenfreude means Shameful Pleasure/Joy, usually pleasure at someone else's misfortune. The Germans have a couple of expressions that beat any English version of the same concept.

112 Last night I got on the local Alexandria Va "patch" websites to look at election results bullshit. There were libs complaining that one of the Republicans on City council (2 out of 7) wasn't on the ballot but still had signs up. Was he trying to mess up the election? It was, of course, a primary and you receive either a democrat or a republican ballot.

118 CAC, that is the problem.  There are quite a few States that will boil down to less than a few percent margin in win or lose. Since we determine the election by State that CAN effect the election overall.

We MUST end the ability of the Democraps to steal the election in these State via vote fraud in heavy Democrat areas, usually the large urban area Democrap political machines.

122 One think I've always enjoyed about German is their tendency not to create a new word for new things but rather to string old words together to name something, ie not aeroplane or airplane but Flying Thing/Stuff: flugzeug.

125 Incidentally every time I think of the JEF flying over WI it reminds me of the opening sequence to Triumph of the Will.
