— CAC And climbing.
If you haven't yet, you know what to do...
Oh, and we need the Senate too:
MA-SENATE (Current hold, leans R, most vulnerable seat for us) DONATE
VA-SENATE DONATE
OH-SENATE DONATE
FL-SENATE DONATE
ND-SENATE DONATE
MT-SENATE DONATE
NM-SENATE DONATE
MO, WI go to whomever you wish.
Nebraska is going to Deb. We need 4 more (as of right now, i see ND, MT, MO-->R as well but all are very close (well, maybe not Missouri); WI if a particular candidate wins. But why stop there?

Or do you want to pout and make non-existent plans to move to Canada, like the liberal twats did when Bush was reelected in 2004?
Two roads stretch out before you, my friend. Decide which one you're going to take, and don't let your sadness today deceive you into believing that they're the same path, or that it doesn't matter which one you choose. They're not, and it does.

Wrong. $10 million from mega-rich donors who are unrestrained by donation limits (because they're giving their dough to the Super-PAC and not to the Romney campaign) is one thing.
$3.2 million from the small-dollar contributions of thousands upon thousands upon thousands of small donors is another thing entirely. It's not even about the money (never forget: Mitt's got a metric fuckton, if it ever comes to that) so much as it is about the grassroots enthusiasm it reflects. Most of the people donating in this moneybomb today ain't maxing out the way my dad I did. They're chipping in $10, $20, maybe $100. The fact that they can get to $3.2 MILLION FUCKING DOLLARS on the basis of small-bore donations like that, from people who haven't already maxed out, is significant fucking news.

There is a small charge to the campaign for each donation if they are using online processing. Making many small donations isn't as valuable as fewer larger ones.
So the campaign might be charged $.25 per transaction out of the $5 you are donating.

Sing it, sister.
I know I've been a bit hectoring in the comments today (which, to be fair, is kind of how I am always at all times over the last 10 years here), but this is really the message I've been trying to convey. Don't give in to despair. Mope for a bit and feel bad it you want. In fact, get authentically PISSED OFF if you feel it -- as The Clash once said (spot the lyric reference!) "anger can be power, let fury have the hour!" -- but don't act as if the game is over and the race has been run and decided.
It hasn't.
It's only really just beginning, in fact. And this may well give us the shot in the arm we've needed to get over the hump.
Maybe it's just all this high-grade ecstasy I've been popping today, I dunno, but I actually feel MORE optimistic about November tonight that I have in quite a long time...and I was already feeling cautiously optimistic.

Like many of you guys, I've never given money to a politician before, but I threw $10 at Mitt for starters. Not much but it made me feel a little better. Anyone who says that he would be no better than Obama, well, I say let's find out. Because he could certainly be no worse.

The USCCB response was depressing. They still are convinced somehow the HHS mandate will get repealed by SCOTUS or Obama and then all is well.
They are clueless to the fact that the Democrats see this stuff as preventative healthcare measures for the poor, minorities, and immigrants (both legal and illegal). Thankfully at least some of the Bishops have been pointing out that this attachment to the Federal Government is destroying Catholic Social Services in this country, but there are not enough of them at this point.

Me too. We have Romenycare now - and my health insurance premiums have increased significantly. What's the difference? I guess other than having the IRS handle everything? $3.2 Million ... in one day.
Figuring the average donation is $50.00, 64,000 voters signed up for Romney ... 128,000 if most of them are married, and can sway relatives.
This doesn't sound like much, BUT it might indicate an immediate 2-3 point INCREASE in Romney voters (not polls) ... nationwide.
Add some serious Economic campaigning, and F and F investigation and questioning ... and take te gloves off as soon as the Ds do (Wright, Ayres and friends get exposure this time) ...
The wind is changing ... there's a storm brewing ...

tax so bad he made the Constitution look like it spent the night at
Barney Frank's house.
Okay fine, so what if he did? Don't you want to elect the guy who will appoint the successors to Ginsburg, Breyer, Scalia and maybe Kennedy and Thomas to ensure that this retarded holding is overturned?
Or do you want to pout and make non-existent plans to move to Canada, like the liberal twats did when Bush was reelected in 2004?
Two roads stretch out before you, my friend. Decide which one you're going to take, and don't let your sadness today deceive you into believing that they're the same path, or that it doesn't matter which one you choose. They're not, and it does.
FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT FIGHT
Exactly. And from what little I remember of con law, stare decisis is merely a policy, not some kind of mechanical rule that must be followed. The principals in the case today can be completely overturned and discarded. Hell, Lochner could be revived one day. Getting our guy into office that will replace Ginsburg, et al., is the name of the game.

I behaved like a guy switching between savage and levin. Levin was doing a controlled burn. Had already heard that Beck was furious this morning when the decision came out. I really wish I could believe that Romney isn't going to be just like BO only with less of a tan.

Mitt Romney just now called for immediate entire repeal of Obamacare. Even with a GOP House, GOP Senate, and GOP President, that will be hard, because Dems can and will filibuster a bill, and a 60-vote GOP majority is not in the cards any time soon.
But repealing the individual mandate takes only 51 votes (50, if a Republican is the vice president). You see, Senators can’t filibuster a bill passed under “budget reconciliation.” Since Chief Justice John Roberts ruled today that Obama’s individual mandate is a tax, Republicans, it seems to me, could simply lower the tax for not having health insurance down to $0.00, as a matter of budget reconciliation.
Since itÂ’s a tax and not a mandate, there canÂ’t be any penalty for not having health insurance above and beyond the tax. So, voila! No more mandate!

My understanding about the state-lines issue is that this is a state decision. There's no federal law that says companies can't cross lines. It's the states that have different coverage rules, etc.

Roberts didn't do what I wished he did, but he gave Romney and co a pretty powerful weapon by forcing the libs to accept that it was a tax. Properly used it should be a tremendous millstone around Obama's neck.
