4 Just as long as Obama is 'bounced' out of the White House.

10 I won with 43%. And I'd like to get to know his wife. (carry over sockpuppet).

11 Mitt Romney should now tear down four houses and build a hotel on every Boardwalk in America.

Posted by: MostlyRight at August 30, 2012 12:59 PM (ZG8Ti)

12 "Romney pulls ahead"? I guess Republicans believe a black man can't ride in the front seat or in the front of a bus. Horrible.

16 Just wait until I unleash my awesome 'Schlock and Guffaw' ad blitz! Half Mormon, half vagina, half racist, half abortion, half Muslim!

It will play big amongst the Atheist-Lesbian-African-American-Liberal-Islamic demographic. Axeltoad has assured me this is a sure winner, unlike the previous three years of fumbles, half steps, mistakes, gaffes, bows, vacations, and golf outings. Hmmm...which were also all his ideas.

17 The 14% unaccounted-for-voters...break for the challenger. That is always the silver lining in the polls.

18 Mitt Romney is a Phantasmic Cornucopia of Preposterous Success.

Posted by: MostlyRight at August 30, 2012 01:04 PM (ZG8Ti)

19 The Big 0 is pulling only 42 percent. That would be fantastic for him...if Ross Perot were making it a three-way race.

And 76 percent think the economy is on the wrong track.

I feel a disturbance....in the force. As if thousands of wailing souls were calling to me. And what's this? A check for five million dollars from the DuNCe, with a note attached, which reads "love and kisses, Barky".

Posted by: Ron Paul at August 30, 2012 01:09 PM (L7hol)

21 10% bounce from RNC is my prediction (by next Tuesday).  Not sure what Romney does tonight that's not a letdown, but he's never disappointed for more than a few minutes.

Looking forward to activation of the Obama Ad Death $tar--what, five seconds after he accepts?

22 The Obama Ad Death Star will be met in battle by the Navy Attack Sun USS North Dakota.

23 Fellow Romney-critics-turned-apologists-supporters: *Sarah Palin wink* Yeah?

Hey, I've always thought Romney to run a virtually flawless campaign. I knew he would run a solid campaign. It was his conservatism and ability to be principled that has always been my concern. I think it's healthy we maintain our healthy skepticism to hold our own accountable. But for the total doubters, who thought Romney would be a timid pushover, how do you like him now? I'm very happy with the direction of his campaign, taking firm positions on Medicare and other conservative concerns.

Posted by: Crispian at August 30, 2012 01:14 PM (uBMtY)

24 Is the sample d+4 or higher? If so romney is probably up by 5. Also tomorrow he can start spending that $250 million in cash he's sitting on.

Heads up: The DNC will open tomorrow with a two-hour Muslim prayer service: http://preview.tinyurl.com/9jc5wxs

Led by the radical Siraj Wahhaj.

>>Siraj Wahhaj, the “Grand Imam” for Jumah at the DNC, is often considered a “moderate” because he was the first Muslim to give an invocation in the U.S. Congress, but as Robert Spencer notes, he has a number of troubling ties to dangerous radicals. In the early 1990′s the man reportedly sponsored talks by “the Blind Sheikh” Omar Abdel-Rahman in New York and New Jersey mosques, and told his followers that the United States will fall unless it “accepts the Islamic agenda.”

Wahhaj elaborated, according to bestselling author Brigitte Gabriel, to say: “If only Muslims were clever politically, they could take over the United States and replace its constitutional government with a caliphate.”

He continued: “Take my word. If 6-8 million Muslims unite in America, the country will come to us.”

29 Thats impressive considering Reuters/Ipsos oversamples Democrats by 10 points. You'll notice they aren't posting the crosstabs because they got so much grief last time they did.

Posted by: Bill Mitchell at August 30, 2012 01:57 PM (hlUJY)

30 So the takeaway from this poll is that Obama needs to find another 9% somewhere to win. It's over.

Posted by: Bill Mitchell at August 30, 2012 01:59 PM (hlUJY)

31 Like I said in the other thread, the reason online polls are viewed skeptically is that respondents tend to be overwhelmingly liberal, so the polls have to have some serious weighting to get any sort of number that reflects reality. And the more manipulation you have to do with your numbers, the more unreliable the result is. (Notice how they use a "credibility interval" - that's because they don't want to show you their redonkulous margin of error).

So I wouldn't put any stock in it. If there's a real convention bounce, it'll be confirmed by several legit sources soon enough.

35 Man, I HATE to be the naysayer here, but the respective post-convention bounces mean nothing to me.  Nada.  Diddly.  Let's look at how things line up in about 3 weeks.
