I think you can all appreciate how HUGE this news is. Much appreciation to Amy Bingham of ABC News for her admirable work in bird-dogging this important tidbit down for us.
Looking forward to five more months of this pathetic, laughable bullshit.

And in a similar vein, I saw Detective Mark Thurman in an elevator once, and ditto. This was pre-OJ, so I had no idea who he was (I was on jury duty). He had quite the effect on me, and even though I was cool as a cucumber (I hope) I think he knew, because he looked right at me and grinned. And he held the elevator door for me, so whatever else he may be, he is a gentleman.
When the whole OJ thing happened, I couldn't believe it was him.

I saw an ad for Revolution, the upcoming JJ Abrams show about life after what appears to be an EMP strike, and there's a bit where people are walking past the remains of Wrigley Field and there's a sign that says "2012 Series Champions". Hi, Polli! It helps to live in LA, and it also helps to fly a lot. I don't fly as much as I used to, but in LA you see a fair amount of notables at LAX. I saw a lot of Braves and Falcons at the Atlanta airport, too.
Dianna, I definitely blushed as I was getting off the elevator. Had he not grinned at me, I don't think I would have. I was married by then, and not quite as bashful as I was as a single miss.

Former high school, college, and semi-pro pitcher here. What makes girly throws goofy is that it's all arm. Efficient throwing mechanics use the legs to fire the hips, which in turn fire the torso, all without the arm actually moving relative to the torso. (Think multi-stage rocket.) Your arm, like your wrist, merely delivers the ball, and adds a little more oomph to it as it leaves your hand.
Try this: throw with your feet perpendicular to the target, and fixed to the ground. No one can generate any speed throwing that way, because it takes your legs and torso out of the throw.
Moral: throwing is mostly a leg and torso thing.
