— Ace On all the cable networks now.
Thoughts: Mitt was weaker than usual, and that's too bad. This was a big moment; couldn't he have prepared something strong?
But Ryan's moment was the more important one, and he was very, very strong. Stand-up triple.
Via @DrewMtips: Romney actually made this choice August 1st, told Ryan August 3rd. But they were able to keep it silent until yesterday night.

They are going lay it out.
Two visions.
One where Americans can stop the slide into oblivion.
The other where the slide continues and the inevitable breakup happens.

Yup. Most of the low info indie voters I knew who voted for preazy in the Philly collar counties did so because McCain was "old". Who old an' busted now, bitchez?

McCain tried to run a "nice guy" campaign but everyone knew McCain is, and has always been, a self-serving backstabbing sucker of Donkclock. We knew it, Manhattan media knew it and swing voters knew it.
Slick, grainy, blue color-timed PAC ads featuring Obama as a smiling, smug and aloof villain. German film noir existentialism.

His district in southern Wisconsin shares a border with the corrupt state of Illinois, he's had years to watch the chicanery and see where it leads (graft, gimmes, and eventual bankruptcy).

That said, I think this means we lost the old people. They wants them their social security, and any talk of reform better exempt those currently retired. At least until the election is over. Or it's DOOM. Florida will be lost for sure if Granny thinks her income is threatened.

After spending weeks looking into Ryan's history for The New Yorker, visiting his home town, and interviewing him twice, I am genuinely surprised that Romney chose him. First, letÂ’s tally the risks of a Ryan pick.

No private sector experience is now a negative? It's a good thing that Barry is just rolling in it. And funny how the New Yorker spent weeks looking into Ryan's history but not 2 seconds into Barry's

To the first part of that statement, I am inclined to agree. As to the second part - no way in hell. If they were, Obama's approval would be MUCH lower. Most politically disconnected Americans have but one thought - "please somebody make the hurting stop." That's it.

Interesting that the trolls love to pick up on Mitt's occasional verbal stumbles. Give Bark Obama a teleprompter and he still screws up, and fairly regularly.
Worse, give the Choomer-in-Chief authority, and he really stumbles.
This contest has been a no-brainer from the git-go. Adding Ryan makes the choice even clearer: it's the Adults versus the Young Communist and Mr Dementia.

zdrah-stvooy comrades!
Da you have tapped into why wonderful nation’s current business plan is so brilliant! The goofy big eared usher from DC Disney came by Sub factory today and said that his good friend the magic money motion man Sore Ohs says he needs to make the nice tree molesting girl upstairs happy. “Er uh how do I uh ah ah kill two birds with one stone H?”
I was stumped but once again to buy time H gave Big Eared Usher 48oz lemonade against orders of Comrade Bloomberg to buy time.
“You can kill two birds with one stone by putting stone on front of rocket and bouncing stone off the birds at mach 17 comrade Usher,” I finally said needing him to get the hell out of the way from the crowd developing around corner because Usher is not letting the line move blocking sales and my ability to sell comrades subs from factory and getting money to help the nice farmer comrades by MY buying submarine fixings.
Using his vastly superior to my judgement Comrade Ushers wandered off muttering something about Green(his favorite color in world) shoots progress I finally got to get line moving so nice Rocco Lampone will get his vig and not burn down my sub factory.
Question: If the nice comrade in the articles’ paradigm is correct and ideas or products that man with business sense of a drunk dog chasing its tail to eat steak I tied there gets to pick winners and losers because “we attract private money” to build rocket to put rocks on does not it make sense to let market decide and force efficiency in rocket production so nice girl who molests trees doesn’t make a rocket with very useful outboard boating motors is an attempted answer?
I am so confused, Usher and Bay-Dan man who wears sable stapled to head are against spending on glorious military that helped Usher single handedly kill some rat who kept scaring UshersÂ’ clients named OsamaÂ…..
but if fans of allowing venture socialism are not bothered by paying 1/2 billion dollar for imaginary solar panels like I made for profit thanks to nice 245,000 investment with Ushers campaign in Â’08 why are they REALLY bothered by spending money on the mouse catchers in digital cammy uniforms having a low rate of return in cash flow but high return in R+D subsidy?

I'm liking Ryan more than Romney. Poor Romney, I think he's a good man, but Ryan is light years better at articulating. Romney probably gets it, but he cannot articulate it as Ryan can. Maybe we have have Barry vs Ryan debates. I'm sure that'll make Biden happy, having to debate Romney instead of Ryan.

The Dems will try and claim that this plays right into their hands, making this election a "choice" between two philosophies. Since the choice is between America and communism, I like those odds.
Contrary to the troll above, this also shows me that Romney believes he has the advantage, and can afford to put a national asset on the ticket, rather than someone that helps him with Ohio, Virginia, or Florida.
He has tapped someone who can set the groundwork for the necessary changes to fix the mess of the last 4 years, rather than just help him win the election.
Shows me that Romney is a strong candidate, willing to run with someone equally strong. Unlike Obama, who chose someone so incompetent that he would never be a threat to his ego.

Romney now has a man to help with short answers that kicked Obama in the balls so hard he put on the humble and was cowed. Mitt is going to have to have short answers that do not wander off the point that every gift from Obama carries a price tag and every price tag hampers the ability of the free market to continue to grow.
We need to emphasize that this country was built from trees with bunnies, squirrels, and teepees when confronted, into the society that at one time put people on the moon and now is happy merely to land a nuclear powered scooter on mars using a power source that is clean and renewable that the administration will not let us use to fuel growth for future generations and all Americans today.
Tie Obama to the EPA's economy hampering antics make it real, get roughnecks from every persuasion on the stage and have them tell the American people what they do what they care about and the hurdles this government puts in their way of keeping your way of life going......
Obama is hiding a lot of vicious debts to very radical interests like the no growth sierra club behind a smile and vague promised of hope and being a better referee between some imaginary fight between business people and workers.
We can remind the American people that prior to that 8 year temper tantrum about the war the democrats are adding to in Syria and other places we had decided that welfare spending should be tied to work and that it was better for people to follow their dreams rather than have to have the federal government as an unwanted partner and coach in what those dreams should be.
We'll win

If they can make the case about entitlement reform and sell it to the old graybeards down here, there's hope for the country.
If the older generation rises up in opposition and votes against entitlement reform and for fiscal doom, I'll go ahead and hit the lights on my way out, because this is where it will have ended.

The only obstacle is people who only listen to half the argument. If the DNC's demagoguing works, and oh will there be demagoguing (herds of old bitties rolling over the cliff at the whips of the Republican overlords), then we they'll only get half.
Thankfully, the left's bullshit attacks seem to be backfiring and suggest that this tactic won't work. If they're forced to confront reality, they're fucked.

I had a bit of a set back last month when my doctor found I have very high blood pressure, but the medication is working, so I'm doing great. I had to cut back on running until the medication took effect. The last few weeks, getting back into it I've had moderate knee pain.
But yesterday I finished the first full week of my new schedule, run a 5K on Monday, weights on Wednesday, longer run on Friday. I was able to run 6.5 miles and have no pain in my knees at all this morning.
Knock on wood, I think I'm back on track. The first half marathon is in 3 months, early November.

True dat, Ms Stompy Boots.
One also hopes that Romney and Ryan will be able to sell measures even stronger than their current plans when -- not IF, but WHEN -- they realize that the Choomer-in-Chief has done more damage than we currently know.
No one, including us, is going to be totally comfortable with what has to happen in the very near future. But the Two Rs are smart enough to figure it all out. It's down to the public whether they succeed, or we simply jack it all in and watch the country collapse.

I know you've enjoyed my relationship with you the past 3.5 years I've been President of the United States of America, and so have I. But I feel the time has come for me to make a change to my team that can more effectively achieve my goals. It is therefore my pleasure to inform you personally by this e-mail that I wrote that I will make you a key player in this necessary transition.
In Charlotte, I will be announcing my new running mate and you will hand over the torch of the Vice Presidency to your successor. Rest assured, I do not make this decision lightly and it has nothing whatsoever to do with my opponent's choice in running mate. I just feel that my plan requires your unique talent and abilities elsewhere, and I will be sure to let you know where that is as soon as possible.
Keep up the good work!
Your Leader,
Barack
