Schadenfreude and Smartassery [Warden]
— Open Blogger

If there's one lesson from today's fiscal cliff debacle its that there's no avoiding the turd sandwich Obama voters have served up to us.

The only upside is that steamy meal is being served to America "family style." Sooner or later, these chumps are ALSO gonna get a nice juicy mouthful of what they've cooked up--they just don't know it yet.

And when they do? We'll be there--big, assholish grins on our gleeful, told-you-so faces.

Maybe it's already happened.

So what say you, Moron Horde? Are we gonna fight on this blog all day long or are we gonna toss back a few beers and share some stories about being absolute DICKS to liberals we know?

Weigh in. If you don't have a good story, tell me what you plan on saying when, say, your loudmouthed leftwing co-worker finds out his healthcare premiums are going up by 25%?

Or when his taxes go up after we go over the fiscal cliff.

Gimme your best, chowder heads. It's bad enough you regularly disappoint your spouses in bed. (They email me. Shame on you, Dave in Texas, for that trick you tried with your thumb.) Don't let down your fake internet friends, too.

5 As for me, I've been having fun asking leftists what's so bad about having their taxes revert to Clinton's rates?

"Wasn't that the best economy ever?" I ask. "Sandra Fluke's birth control isn't free, you know. If you want all this government, you need to pay your fair share."

There's a friend from high school that went full blown libtard. We got into a pissing match over gay marriage. I just got tired and asked him if he ever ate a sweeter peter than mine. That shut him up, then he defriended me on farcebook.

26 They didn't learn from the French Revolution, they didn't learn from the Soviets or the Chinese or Cuba or North Korea or Greece. They aren't going to learn from this. The only thing to do is marginalize them in public and teach kids what *actually* happens - but they took over the schools and the MFM to prevent that from happening. Also, the bickering and infighting is not a great help. Some people can wake up, it's hard work. It's more fun to snark at them, which just makes you the bad guy (even if your every fact is dead on, because they're not thinking with their heads).

I plan on asking her how much she thinks her house is worth now (it's a palatial 5-bedroom, 2-hot-tub chalet about 5 minutes from the Stowe resort, probably worth a million at least.) Then I will tell her how many Section 8 housing vouchers that would pay for. When she pulls out the $40 bottle of cabernet I will ask her if she left any of that back at her main house for her illegal Guatemalan nanny.

58 Tough question.  I am completely anti-left.  The main reason why is I don't believe in magic and I do believe events have consequences.  We are now truly screwed and there will be no magic of any kind to fix it.

Somehow I think all my conversations will go something like this:  "Believing in Santa doesn't mean he exists.  Voting against gravity does not make it go away.  Stealing is wrong, even if you hire the government to be your thug.  Welcome to your consequences.  Now, go fuck yourself."

I tried & tried to talk to her about the economy, OCare, taxes, whathaveyou. Closer to the election, I started getting eye rolls & exasperated looks on her face .. she did NOT want to hear it. So I've been thinking about what I would say to her post-fiscal cliff. To be honest, I'm thinking of not saying a word. I also want to cut off the friendship. I can't be friends with someone this completely stupid. I've taken steps for preparation. Let her live with her choice. That may be harsh but I put real energy & effort & money trying to stem the tidal wave of doom bearing down on us. And now, I've shrugged. Let it burn.

I went on a spree...another drum for the AK, another twelve 30 round AK mags, a few cz82 mags, another crate of ammo. Took all darn day. Everybody is sold out of everything. Apparently America's answer to Obama and gun control is everyone gave themselves an 'evil gun" or three along with ammo an assessory's for Christmas. Hey my wife would have never let me buy all that without Gun Grabby McFlap ears, the Press, Dumb Ass Piers Morgan and lib tards in general shooting off their big mouth. Thanks Obama and lib tards! 113 My lib sister was spouting off about how rich people didn't care about hiring people,  only about not having to pay more taxes.  Very snarky and irritating.

So I told her that I thought we should raise taxes on the rich,  just to see if it does any good,  since NOTHING ELSE OBAMA HAS DONE HAS WORKED.  Then we could decide once and for all if this was the right decision.

A week later she called me and was moaning about the drop in sales at the very upscale department store where she works on commission.  Her sales are down 20% from last year.  She thinks it is from people switching to internet sales.  I think it is probably rich people holding onto their cash because they think they are going to have to pay a lot more in taxes.

We will see.  I also am waiting for her to be switched to part time or lose her insurance,  since I know her store cannot keep paying for insurance if their sales are down that much.

I will be sympathetic and explain why.

o/t   for Mr.  Moo  Moo from the last thread...

Get yourself a .22 Browning Buck Mark for your first gun.  ( I own a couple of them with the short barrel... I believe it's 4 and a half or 5 inch barrel)... this gun is fun fun fun to shoot and won't cost you an arm and leg for bullets.

Get yourself a brick of .22 shells to go with the gun.  You'll be able to spend all day at the range shooting with the lady and won't feel like you'll have trouble paying the mortage on time.

As someone else said in the comments... any gun in hand is better than none at all when trouble comes a callin'....

You will eventually move up to higher calibers... 9mm .40cal  .45cal etc etc, but you'll still take the browning out to plink cause it's too much fun.

When I got to the front I told the TSA guy I was declining the 'illegal search by cancer machine,' so he waved me around. Why is it that the guy feeling me up has to make small talk? Are they trained to do this? He asked me where I was going - so I told him San Francisco. His response of "oh, that's great!" was met with "It's full of communists and traitors. What's great about that?" Got a laugh out of an older couple standing nearby. He tried to continue but it's hard to have a conversation with someone who only responds "am I free to go?" 175 And you can tell your lib 'friends', Zoltan et alia, that using the same unemployment measure as Canada (such as including "no longer looking for work") the U.S. unemployment rate in the summer just past was 10.5% and Canada's was lower at 7.2% that's been lower than the U.S. rate for all of the Obama years. Even during the good Bush years, our unemployment rate was a couple of points higher than yours but not now. I think us having a lower rate than you guys is the first time that's ever been the case, at least during my 50 years.

Not one of the lefties I know will ever ascribe a bad outcome to Democratic/Blue/Lib policies. To them, the "Bush's Fault" card never expires, and even if it did its still Reagan's Fault before that and then Nixon. So lets not kid ourselves that any lefty, taking the inevitable bite of the coming shit sandwich will a) understand why or b) change their voting behavior accordingly.

Quite the contrary in fact as I see it: the worse things get under Obama, the more obvious the total collapse brought upon us by the warmonger pretzle eater Bush and thus no way you can blame the cool dreamy Barack for anything.

Then the boys were figuring out how long until Christmas, and I counted with them, and when I asked "who comes on the 24th?" both yelled out "Santa!" Then my son, proud as a peacock, says, "but on the 25th baby Jesus is born!" Her son said, "I don't know who that is."

Others with a lot more knowledge hopefully will chime in here, but my limited understanding is that all online orders have to be sent to a FFL dealer in the state of your residence. Plus, the transfer paperwork is only good for a few days. So it seems best to contact a dealer near your intended destination and talk to them.

But seriously, about two weeks ago, a lib I know overheard a conversation I was having with my brother about a recent acquisition I made at the the local gunsmithy.

"Well," I replied, "because liberty and capitalism pretty much allow us to do what ever the fuck we want to without a nagging busybody questioning where a man spends his hard earned cash."

Best Christmas present yet: I found out my boss, who I thought was a lefty loon like the rest of them, is actually pretty conservative.  Pour five or eight beers down his throat, and off he goes!  It was pretty fun.  I always liked him, now I may just love him.  He's originally from Detroit, and watched the lefties butcher his home town. That's going to leave a mark.

As far as dickiness is concerned, after the election I was in a long line and the woman behind me was just percolating with impatience and frustration.  I noticed the Obama pin on her coat lapel, and then, when it was my turn, I purposefully dragged out the transaction, asking all kinds of dumb questions, and, then, when I was just about out of ideas, the clerk, bless her heart, says, "Would you like to sign up for our free discount card?"  Well, yes, young lady, yes, I would.  I may have misspelled my name on the form once, and then put my cell phone number down and then decided I'd rather have my home phone number associated with the account.  You know, just trying to be precise.

The woman behind me nearly went smack out her mind.  Very satisfying.

242 When I saw a rabid raccoon back in the 80's getting close to my goats (I'd already put the dog inside), I put on a respirator and goggles and killed it with a spade. I used the spade to bury it deep where it fell, taking care to turn the earth under, too. Then I built a quick fire on the spot, and sterilized the shovel (being careful not to alter its temper). I still have the shovel. Sometimes you have to care of business. Be sure to protect yourself. When shovels are outlawed, only outlaws will have shovels. http://preview.tinyurl.com/axuncao

You just want to shoot the bad guy threatening your life, not the little old lady two doors down the hall in 3B. If you can't train-through the "adrenaline funnel", think about a shot gun and #4 buckshot to put maximum usable pellets in the kill zone. A reliable pump, or a reliable semi-auto will work, but be sure to practice.

271 @200 Icedog. As stated earlier the firearms transfer has to be through an 01 dealer. Shopping online allows you to avoid tax, but you incur shipping fees. I usually have rifle's shipped the slowest, cheapest way possible, although with handguns they generally make them go next day or 2 day air. Some online dealers don't charge you for shipping. Again, shop around. Also shop around for the 01 dealer for the . I live in Texas and some of the big gunshop owners charge 25- 50 dollars for each transfer. They do the background check etc. First one takes a few days, but subsequent ones are quick. They have various on line locators for transfers. See http://fflgundealers.net/transfer/texas/ Some list transfer fees, some don't, so you may have to call a few to nail down a good rate. My guy charges me 10 bucks (if you have a CHL, are police or military). Everyone else pays 15. He is a good guy. Good luck with your transfer, and thank you for serving in our military!

Though you can't actually see it, there's just such a (virtual) sign on the front doors of Englishmen, now that personal ownership of  handguns has been outlawed.

Criminals, however, have this incredible eyesight all the way into virtual wavelengths, with predictable results for disarmed Brits.

The UK "authorities" brag that handgun deaths have gone way down since handgun ownership was outlawed, but they do not seem to notice how much burglary and home invasions are way up, with roughly 50% of of daylight burglaries in the UK occurring when a member of the family is present. (vs 10% tops in the US, depending on the state).

Twentysomething kid at the door, with a sales pitch.

About thirty seconds into his spiel, I interrupted as politely as I could.

"Hey, I know you're working for a living, and your working is selling, and I don't want you to waste your time here for no reason, because we're not buying. Nothing personal. The voters just decided that our taxes are going way up, but they didn't bother to make our income go up to match. So the money we might have spent buying from you is going to tax payments instead. Sorry. Wish it were otherwise. Best of luck."

The kid looked like I'd just given him a kick in the nuts with steel toed boots.

Almost certainly he'd voted for Obama given his ethnicity, age, and locality. And is now just realizing that the vote in question has immediate, direct, downside personal consequences for himself.

In my non-internet life, I'm an airline pilot, and so, by definition, I spend about half the month in a hotel somewhere. For our longer overnights, the company generally has us stay in a downtown (as opposed to airport) hotel, and since I'm the captain, and make more than everyone else (I'm certainly no 1%-er, but I guess I'd have to admit to 2-3%), for years I've been tipping our drivers double the going rate. It's not a lot of money....the difference between $1 and $2, but I justified this by saying that times are tough, and if I give some guy driving a transportation company van the opportunity to Supersize His Fries, then I was ok with it.

Anyway, that all ended not long after the election. I was loading into a van driven by a real nice guy one day...I've ridden with him a number of times, and I noticed he had a bumper sticker that said "I support Universal Healthcare" on his back bumper. I thought: "Nice guy or not, but Fuck him and his Universal Healthcare. He supports that Marxist, and wants to tax me to death, and take my double-tip too."

I got to thinking about it later that night, and decided I would extend my chintzy-ness. I decided that any opportunity to tip someone in a state that voted for Zero was going to get the absolute minimum tip. Waitresses, van drivers, whatever. Maybe they voted for him, maybe not....I don't care anymore. I'm only spending the absolute minimum in states that went Blue.

I also told all my husband's nieces and nephews that they could not mooch off us any more; we weren't going to feed or house them if they decide to come south for the winter. They can pitch a tent at their grandparents' house or stay at a youth hostel, I don't care, but they aren't coming on my property (and it's not community property).

How else have I been a dick? Told a bleeding heart that there's not a damn thing she or  anyone else can do to fix terrible parenting; that despite her belief that poor people have no way out, it seems that poor non-Mexican immigrants seem to do just fine (including black immigrants from Haiti and Africa), and most illegals I know are making ends meet without government assistance.  The government program abuse problem seems to be with native-born blacks, native-born whites who whore around, and native born hispanics of Mexican descent.  OMG you should have seen her head explode, it was awesome.

324 203 Have already fired 3 liberals since election. Working on a couple more for next month. If everyone just fired a couple of liberals, never bought from them and never hired them, they could live in the economic paradise they want for everyone else. That's awesome! Keep up the good work. I'm so sick of these assholes avoiding the consequences of their actions.

325 A libtard at work said that Obama would get so much done in his second term.  I told her I agreed--I thought that he would send all the evil rich white people to re-education camps, and that I was sure he could double the debt in four years.

326 Actually I told her there was a couple of things to fix bad parenting, one was make people get a license before they have a kid, but now that I think about it, I should have said that clearly the answer would be to require a government issued license before you could have sex.  You would have to prove that you would be a good parent, since it's entirely possible, nay likely, that sex could lead to children. There's a parallel to the gun argument in there somewhere but I'm not smart enough to make it.

329 ".22lr is a HORRIBLE round for home defense esp. with an inexperienced shooter"

However, .22 Magnum in one of those 30-round KelTec pistols would be ideal in many ways for someone elderly and living alone. Light weight. Low recoil. The .22mag does a considerable amount of damage for its size. Little risk of the magazine going dry in a self-defense scenario. (Count to thirty. It's a big number. Grandpa had a five-shot revolver in the nightstand drawer. This is SIX TIMES as many rounds.)

Admittedly, if you fire a .22mag indoors without hearing protection, you'll regret it later. But for someone who is already hard of hearing, no biggie. And the fireworks show has a deterrent effect all its own. I guarantee that after the first few enormous reports and muzzle fireballs have been witnessed, Mr. Criminal Intruder is going to be thinking with increasing panic, "What the fuck did I just get myself into?!?!?!"

Our American side of the family, aside from my conservative pissed off uncle and I, don't really discuss politics. But for the Obama supporters, on both sides of the border, I do have my "Certificate of Loss of Nationality of the United States" which I have no problem showing them. That's kind of 'check and mate' right there.

I tell them Obama's a fucking moron, more than 50% of the American population have now become human parasites, the national debt jumped $2.5 Trillion dollars in a year and a half and was $14 Trillion when I made the agonizing decision to renounce US citizenship and it's almost $16.4 Trillion just a year and a half later. And gross debt to GDP has risen over 30% to 105% in 4 years.

I can't help it if people are stupid and can't do math. I can only protect myself.

334 You won't have to say a word when the bill comes due. Whether it's taxes, healthcare premiums, the bottom dropping out of the market, job loss, foreclosure, you name it. But if you want to go there, all you have to do is look em dead in the eye and softly ask them a rhetorical question: Do you think that I voted against the guy because I'm a moron, or because I could see this coming and I tried to stop it? And let that question hang in the air and do not say a word until they answer. And if they ask you what you think what is going to happen next, tell them we're screwed. No animation, no emotion, no hype, no hyperbole. For it's the God's honest bottomline truth. When the fit hits the shan, we're screwed. when they ask for answers, tell them there aren't any. Now we just get to pay. You want to scare a lib, you don't have to work hard. Just be serious, short of speech and be completely and utterly still. It is what it is. The numbers don't lie. It's a question of time. There is a difference between arguing and the truth. Argue for your position, you've already lost. Explain the truth and let it hang, it's deadly. Because you can argue politics all day long but the truth just sits there like roadkill and it doesn't get any better. The more honest, none hyperbolic truth, the better. The numbers don't lie, they're just numbers. And they're ugly. Take the politics completely out of your side of the conversation and the only thing that they're left with is their romantic notions. They may not admit it to you, but it will land.

To those folks who want to fire libtards ... buy a copy of your voter's registration list from the county election board. If they need a reason, tell them you are planning to canvas petitions for some dumbassed libtard cause.

The start quietly firing Democrats for cause. Videotape them breaking some company policy, and then give them the boot and no funemployment.

348 The schadenfreuden premise of the article is fine as far as it goes but ignores two factors: being a statist liberal requires stupidity and gives license to never, ever acknowledging errors made by The Party.

So smirk, point and laugh at them all you want - even if you suspect they know they screwed up, they will NEVER acknowledge it to anything close to your satisfaction but will find some psychotically contorted rationale to look you dead in the eye and blame you. Again.

Get used to it, the Blame The Conservatives game is about to go into hyperdrive.

Hard to argue with that last one....me, I plan on being a thorn in the side of my liberal co-workers who told me what a racist I was for a.(being born white), b.(not voting obama), c(being a member of the Tea Party), and d. (ok, having pastry white skin was mentioned a few times.) Guilty, I suppose on all counts. Sometimes its tough being the only cracker available to yell at, but I bear the insults with pride because I know that all too soon I will be serving up some yummy, delicious crow surprise. (Besides, DaCook knows more white people jokes than they do, having heard them all.)  Not quite sure what wine I'll be pairing that delicate bird with, a nice reisling?  Perhaps a chardonay....or something a little more like what they are used too.... like Kool-Aid.

350 339 - That is exactly how to do it. It is amazing how easy it is to set up situations where liberals fail at their jobs or violate company policy. They are inherently lazy and hypocritical and you are guaranteed to get something on them sooner or later. They often hang themselves with their own rope.

Best response in a perfect world...

Your friend smiles, takes another swig of her beer, and taps the shoulder of an older man who is engaged in a conversation behind her. The older man turns and smiles. Your friend says to the atheist, "Have you met my friend, Dr. William Lane Craig?"
