Scott Brown: Why No, I Won't Debate If It's Hosted By MSNBC.
— Ace

Finally.

Scott Brown already accepted two debates. Ted Kennedy's widow, Vicky Kennedy, proposed a third, with herself as organizer (I'm not clear if she'd have any role beyond that).

He's agreed to permit Tom Brokaw as the moderatort, but what he will not agree to is the progressive advocacy organization MSNBC hosting or broadcasting the debate.

Senator Scott Brown said he will accept a debate at the Edward M. Kennedy Institute but only on the condition that Vicki Kennedy stay neutral in the election and that MSNBC not be included as a broadcast partner.

The Brown campaign said in a press release that it would agree to allow former NBC anchor Tom Brokaw to moderate.

...

In a letter to the Institute Monday, Brown’s campaign manager Jim Barnett wrote: “In order to proceed, we need to know that in keeping with the spirit of neutrality expressed in Vicki Kennedy’s letter that she will not endorse or otherwise get involved in this race.

That would be en-ter-fucking-taining.

18 This is Massachusetts, whether or not MSNBC is in the game is meaningless.

Because Scoot Brown has an "R" after his name therefore he is, by definition, the very personification of evil.  Nothing will ever change their minds on that.

It allows them to think they're virtuous while they abort babies by the thousands, allow Russia to reinforce the Syrians with heavy weapons, and enable Iran to wipe Jews off the face of the earth.

For me, he voted against O-Care as advertised and he causes immense butthurt to the DNC and MA libs.  That's all I need him to do, TBH, because it's not like any Dem that gets that seat is going to vote more conservatively.

Remember Sean Bielat? He's running again. This time he's running against a young Kennedy...Joe's son.

Sean has a Republican opponent to get by first, though. She's a, well, a donor to Democrats. And she's trying to slander Sean by making a big deal about him and his wife staying with his in-laws for 3 months right after his wife gave a tough birth.

This is one of those things that only happens to the Kennedys.     the lecherous drunks and the screeching hags develop completely separate    from each other, and just manage to find one another via some kind of cosmic force.    They then proceed to have children that are even more lecherous, drunken, shrieking and hag-like than the parents.

181 Hmmm. OK, I guess I'll cancel my subscription to "Kinky Over 40" magazine.

It was all ads anyway.....

Kinky over 40?

Sounds sort of like The Bob Dole Guide to the Karma Sutra for the Modern 70 Year Old.

So very true.

I shouldn't tease Mainers for dental problems.   It's like making fun of the Brits for their teeth;    way too easy.      And     it's not like ALL Mainers are toothless     twerps.     Just the ones who end up on TV.

Well, I gotta tell ya....Deering is no prize either.

But at least that's only one town.  Of course, there was that project I did once in Groveton.  ::: shudder :::

OT, sort of.  Maybe Glenn Beck's new TheBlaze TV 24/7 news outlet will handle one of the Presidential debates this fall.  Wouldn't that be a hoot.  Moderated by Ron Paul of course.

I'm not an advertising arm of Beck, but heard that announcement this morning that he will be combining GBTV and TheBlaze together, plus he already has more subscribers to  GBTV than CNN has viewers.  I find that info very reassuring.

199 There's an old line, "I'd rather be lucky than good."

I am inclined to think that Scott Brown might survive for a while, and unlike some of you purists out there, I think that's a good thing.

He's as good as we're going to get from Massachusetts for a very long time, and the Democrats seem to be suffering from a huge credibility deficit back there.

Of course, my track record is not good, as I figured a majority of Americans would be intelligent enough to recognize that you can count the number of honest Cook County Democrats on Dick Daley's dork and have a Popsicle left over, but...

207 moderetorter.

That's what Ace was trying for. I like it.

Def:
A person selected to oversee and guide a question and answer session (usually political) to maintain time limits and fairness but who actually is an advocate for one side (usually Democrat) and proceeds to ask questions weighted to either throw the Republican (the enemy) off or make the Democrat (the hero) look good.

Examples: George Stephanopolis(sp?), Tom Brokaw, Sam Donaldson, Gwen Ifill, (insert the name of any major media reader/meat puppet here).
