113 While I don't hold Obama directly responsible for the behavior of the individual SS agents, in any organization the leader sets the tone. And the Secret Service, more than any other agency, gets a good up and personal look at O and his family and how they behave.

With the reports of lavish vacations, weekly celebrity parties, nonstop golf, barely meeting with the military leaders, cabinet, and Congress, reports of a very light work schedule, pics of his feet up on the desk showing disrespect for the Oval office, continuous lying and telling half truths, never accepting responsibility for anything, non-stop campaigning...and I could go on and on... O sets a very lax, poor example.

The SS sees all this and more in person. I'm sure they talk amongst themselves. How can they have any respect for O, seeing his laziness and disrespect for his position and the country in person?

O's attitude trickles down and affects perceptions about what behavior is acceptable or not acceptable. I have a hard time believing the SS would have behaved in this manner during GWB's tenure because he was known to run a very tight ship, very professional in demeanor and appearance. Many people have had bosses where they knew they could push the limits, and other bosses where they wouldn't because of the tone that was set.

So while I don't think O is responsible for the behavior of individual people in the gov't, I think it's fair to say he creates an atmosphere where scandals like the SS and GSA are likely to happen.
