— Open Blogger I know everyone is in mourning over the loss of Andrew Breitbart, but I thought I would make the day better by letting everyone know that Joe Arpaio has decided to help the GOP take back the White House by reopening the issue of the authenticity of Obama's birth certificate:
Arpaio on Thursday unveiled preliminary results of an investigation, conducted by members of his volunteer cold-case posse, into the authenticity of President Barack Obama's birth certificate, a controversy that has been widely debunked but which remains alive in the eyes of some conservatives.At a news conference, Arpaio said the probe revealed that there was probable cause to believe Obama's long-form birth certificate released by the White House in April is a computer-generated forgery. He also said the selective service card completed by Obama in 1980 in Hawaii also was most likely a forgery.
"We don't know who the perpetrators are of these documents," Arpaio said, although he said he doesn't think the president forged the documents.
When asked why he decided to open the investigation Arpaio said it was in response to a request by a local TEA Party group and wasn't motivated by a need to distract from legal issues resulting from DoJ investigations.
Maybe it was motivated by a need to distract voters from the primaries and the endless debates. (Just a thought)

Anybody who wants to claim that Obama was not born in Hawaii to U.S. citizen Stanley Dunham has to explain why a birth announcement appeared in the Honolulu daily newpaper in 1961. Impeach that basic fact, or you have nothing and should not bother further. It was Hillary Clinton's people who brought the issue up, remember. And she lost.
Sheriff Joe is an opportunistic blowhard and honestly does not make much of a hero.
As far as this weird cat and mouse game that Obama's handlers play with the birth certificate -- apparently they've decided that it helps them more than it hurts them. That's the reason they spent $2 million fighting this and then released a fake. It keeps the issue alive.
The other parts of Obama's past that have been locked down would be of much greater interest than a birth certificate. Who paid for his college? On what basis did he gain admission? What classes did he take? What was the nature of his trip to Pakistan? Who did he hang out with?
You will recall that Rick Perry's grades were leaked by some drone inside Texas A&M as soon as he announced his candidacy. And that Joe the Plumber's records were leaked to the media immediately after Obama made his "share the wealth" gaffe. The discrepancy kind of makes me mad.

I don't think it is an overall winning issue for Republicans anymore than impeaching Bill Clinton was a winner for Republicans. The point is, even if it is a fake (I'm sure it is actually), at this point it doesn't really matter - except for the qualifying to get on the ballot thing.

Yes let's focus our attention on this part. The argument whether or not this particular President qualifies, even though re-election is only 9 months off and it would take over twice that long for a court to act if it moved four times as fast as normal.
Let's pretend like the Constitution ain't getting F*ked sixteen ways from Sunday and *this* is the absolute worst violation of its principal.
Furthermore, even though, reality has to sink in, in that the Commerce Clause is the fight we *must* someday win and we have lost on it every time to date, that this is somehow a "false choice" of choosing to concentrate on one or the other when it's clear we would be lucky to have enough resources in people, time, and money to win even one of those fights if we focused on it solely.
So let us entertain this distraction on the long list of ways the left disregards our founding documents, because prioritization is simply impossible.

"Afro-American" was the big thing in the 1970s. There was no "African-American" until the later half of the 1980s. So if the birth cert says "African-American" then it is, as the Romulans say, a faaake.
And in 1961 it would have been "Negro" or "colored." Imagine the discomfiture of the lefties at seeing either of those terms, although there's nothing at all wrong with either one, except in their PC-fevered minds.

And all that other money that's gone mysteriously missing. That's fine. Sheriff Joe is on the case, refusing to release what should be public records, failing to investigate the theft, and actively blocking anybody that tries to do so. If Sheriff Joe and his cronies just happen to purchase millions of dollars in real estate (the records of which he also refuses to release), I'm sure that's just a coincidence. The fact that the one purchase that there actually are records for was 700,000 dollars and paid entirely in cash is normal behavior for a sheriff. Those guys are rich!
And the misusing funds for personal expenditures in the way that gets business executives thrown in jail is perfectly fine as long as government officials do it. That's the True Conservative way. And if public funds for the maintenance of jails happen to "accidentally" get used in order to launch investigations into political opponents, well, that's the American way. Just like the founders intended.
But he's tough on illegal immigration. Which means he's a Conservative Hero and all accusations leveled against him, whatever the source, are DemocRAT lies. Ah, the glorious mind of a deranged hyper-partisan.

Birther nonsense aside, your president did release a document purported to be authentic that may very well be a forgery. That's the issue here.
Aside from document-manipulation artifacts, there are also weird anachronisms...
1. Back in 1961 people of color were called ‘Negroes.’ So how can the
Obama ‘birth certificate’ state he is ‘African-American’ when the term
wasnÂ’t even used at that time?
2. The birth certificate that the White House released lists ObamaÂ’s
birth as August 4, 1961. It also lists Barack Hussein Obama as his
father. No big deal, right? At the time of ObamaÂ’s birth, it also
shows that his father is aged 25 years old, and that ObamaÂ’s father
was born in ” Kenya , East Africa “. This wouldn’t seem like anything
of concern, except the fact that Kenya did not even exist until 1963,
two whole years after ObamaÂ’s birth, and 27 years after his fatherÂ’s
birth. How could ObamaÂ’s father have been born in a country that did
not yet exist? Up and until Kenya was formed in 1963, it was known as
the “ British East Africa Protectorate”.
3. On the birth certificate released by the White House, the listed
place of birth is “Kapi’olani Maternity & Gynecological Hospital “.
This can't be, because the hospital(s) in question in 1961 were
called “KauiKeolani Children’s Hospital“ and ”Kapi’olani Maternity
Home”, respectively. The name did not change to Kapi’olani Maternity &
Gynecological Hospital until 1978...
I defy anyone to explain these anomalies away...

It's insane isn't it. If such a thing were to happen in today's Russia- with a young and dynamic high-profile media opponent of Putin's dying of "natural causes" after promising the release of old videos that could damage Putin during a tough re-election bid, no one among us would hesitate to call foul. Not to mention the angle on Arpaio's press conference anouncing his team's findings on Obama's eligibility which we now find out Breitbart was involved in.
But we're the nutters because these things just don't happen here.
I heard Huge Hughitt dump a very polite and well-spoken caller who suggested that although we have to wait for the coroner's report, we should not yet rule out foul play considering Breitbart's prior record, the hatred he insipred on the Left and what he was getting in to. These chumps have been covering for the White House since the beginning.

Arpaio.com is a site made by people who used to work under him. It has a a bunch of stuff about his various shenanigans. It isn't exactly an objective source, but you can use it as a starting point to find all the scattered newspaper articles about the things he's done.

No, they weren't. People on the Right turned on him when it seemed(falsely) that the Sharrod story was falling apart. And the last interview I heard him give was on The Freedom Hour radio show with Steve Bannon, in which Breitbart lamented the lack of support that he and other grass-root Conservatives received from the Republican Party and the more powerful and influential organizations on the Right. He contrasted that with the money, support and access to power that the Left shows to their activists.
I'm sure there are a lot of Repubics who are none too sad to have Breitbart out of the way.

Many people say that birth certificate stuff doesn't help us win elections, and they are probably right. So, let's assume the choice is between telling the truth and winning an election. Is there any doubt which option Obama or any other liberal would choose?
Now ask yourself if that's the kind of yardstick you really want to measure yourself against.
