— Ace Despite being posted to a nine-day old post -- a dead thread -- and only up for 8 minutes before Patterico deleted it, somehow Brett Kimberlin managed to get a screenshot of it, and filed it in court as one of the many "threats" being "incited" against him.

They've had good luck so far.
Hopefully Patterico can track it.

I guess not.
The evidence is VERY damming. I really like what Patterico and Allergic to Bull are doing here.

It doesn't matter, because it doesn't matter who sent it.
What matters is that BK was watching the sight, caught the comment, and then held on to it for half-an-hour before screen capturing it. Since the comment was deleted, the commenter banned, and Patterico had posted a comment about it, the only way that could have happened (based on Patterico's timeline and BK's screen cap) would be for BK to be watching for something, and the deliberately to sit on it to make it look incriminating.
He was attempting to manufacture evidence.

Decide who needs to be persecuted.
Manufacture evidence and plant it.
'Discover' said evidence.
Denounce the counter-revolutionaries.
Hold a Peoples Court trial.
Convict on the false evidence.
And then send off to gulag.

That is what I love about the hashes.
If it's a recognized name but a wrong hash, it's pretty obvious

Liberals are like the stereotypical American tourist - they think people will stop rejecting their arguments if they just deliver them LOUDER AND SLOWER. Hence their intense love for the likes of Weiner and Alan Grayson.

Every time it happens we re-affirm the pattern. And this stuff isn't necessarily as anonymous as the perpetrators may believe it to be. Just saying.
I wonder if NR has considered that, despite their relationship, BK can use him as the fall guy when the shit gets real bad in the future?
Posted by: CausticConservative at June 26, 2012 10:52 AM (gT3jF)
Eight minutes?
That means one thing and one thing only: The guy who screen grabbed it is the guy who posted it.
Period.
Posted by: Walsingham at June 26, 2012 11:03 AM (gFYz6)
Not necessarily. Human freak #1 could have posted it at a particular time while his/her demented cohort was watching for it and refreshing. Then, demented cohort takes screen captures every minute or so (between fapping) until the post is removed, hoping for the maximum amount of time. I'm sure they were disappointed it was only 8 minutes.
And, kudos to Patterico for being on the ball enough to catch it that quickly, although I'm sure it's a red flag when an ancient thread gets bumped all of a sudden.
Why go through so much trouble when you can photoshop anything you want? Are these slime lining up witnesses too?

If someone's already answered then I apologize for being redundant.
The reason Walker feels that K set him up to be killed once before is that K published *all* of Walker's personal information on one of those many litigation forms he's filled out. K then *publicized* that fact by contacting law enforcement and telling them he feared Walker's life was in danger from Muslim extremists because now they knew where to find all of Walker's personal information...that *K* had just made available. When it was suggested that redacting or sealing the information would fix the problem K vehemently argued against doing so and, when he lost that decision, argued to have the records unsealed again.

What's the point, ultimately, in posting fake, astroturfed comments about yourself?
Just so you can run mewling to somebody to say, "This site has mean things about me that were posted by pseudonymous commenters!!!!11!"
I'd be embarrassed just to advertise that I cared enough to track down every stray comment that might hurt my tender fee fees.

The astro-turf was a death threat implication against The AG and another government employee supposedly written by Patterico. Serious stuff.
Posted by: Polliwogette, Teahada hobbit at June 26, 2012 12:21 PM (Qe7jo)
Well, that's likely.
If you're going to make fake death threats, my general rule is to make them against people that your target is actually wants to see dead. Like George Lucas, or Ashton Kutcher, or that guy from the Annoying Orange videos.
You know, people who really deserve it.
Posted by: Phinn at June 26, 2012 12:28 PM (KNtHw)
Phinn....that's not helpful. ....In fact, that was a stupid thing to say.
Patterico is not wanting to see anyone dead.
