Sitemeter Notification Bug
— Ace

I've asked pixy about this -- is it malware, or goofy stuff with Sitemeter? We think it's goofy stuff with Sitemeter.

But either way, don't enter your authentication for SiteMeter. For one thing, you don't have the password. For another thing, there's no point entering any passwords in any box you didn't open yourself!

Just close the box and move on.

I had the Sitemeter popup appear on a couple of other sites, and ones not related to Ace, minx.cc or .mu.nu.

A thorough check for malware might be a good choice.

Because of trolls screwing with formatting, the HQ cut out the HTML to the bare bones: italics, underscore, bold and strike-through using brackets sample [ i ] [ /i ] (without the spaces).

85 U.S. Rep. Jesse Jackson Jr.Â’s office disclosed Monday that the veteran Democratic congressman has been on medical leave from Congress for the past two weeks and is being treated for exhaustion.

The 17-year Illinois congressmanÂ’s office declined to say where he was being treated or when he is expected to return.

A statement issued Monday was the first public disclosure that Jackson has been on medical leave since June 10.

It is NOT malware. The same thing popped up on my Windows Phone. This after the unknown links in comments leading to shady sites a few weeks back. All occurring after a certain someone declared war on 1st amendment.

Hate to sound over the top but just detailing personal info or even quantitative info on the number of patrons to a targeted site would make for a good court case. (IE these/this many people visited this site with truthful but damning evidence about this person)

Ace, I'd take the previous with a grain of salt but the precautions of someone who poked a bear.

93 Sitemeter? Geez, welcome to the '90s. Well, it fits with the rest of the design and functionality of this site. Someday I hope "pixy" figures out the scrap of code that allows comment modules to truncate long URLs so we don't have to paste tinyURLs all the damn time. Maybe in 2020.
