— Ace Expectations:
Economists expect employers added 113,000 jobs in September, while the unemployment rate edged up to 8.2 percent from August's 8.1 percent, according to a Reuters survey. FridayÂ’s report will be the second-to-last before the November election.
That, of course, is very weak. But in setting up such a low expectation, it gives the media room to play up 140,000 as an "unexpected rebound."

Granted, this is a unique point in our history, never before have we had a mocha Jesus as President, and never before has such a glowing example of inept leftish "leadership" needed such help from the fawning media, but still, enough is enough.
The economy won't get better as long as those people are in charge. Surely our media knows that... and don't call them "Shirley."

What does "completely wrong" mean, when nobody really knows what he actually said in the first place!
Surely (and don't call him Shirley) Romney knows what he meant when he said it, but I'm having a hard time understanding the value of walking it back at this point.

It is the worst kind of foolishness to expect the media to do the "rats deserting a sinking ship" bit.
More likely, the rats will do all they can to patch the holes in the hull of the Choom Boy regime. They are so fully invested in the Anointed One's reelection that they simply cannot let go now.
Oh sure, there are a few truthful stories filtering out. But most are relatively trivial, and fresh marching orders will be sent out from the
When (the worrier in me says if) Osama Obama loses, the media will have to face a lot of ugly truths. But, as they do with the economy ("113,000 jobs!!11!! Another Obama miracle!!eleventy!!'), they will keep claiming that the empty glass is at least half full. It's their nature.

They will seize on the 'completely wrong' statement as a way of pushing the proposition that if he was wrong on this what else is he wrong on.
Notice how they use the words they want to hammer home "Completely Wrong" if this were a Donk they would mute the statement or transform it to be softer.
They really are evil that way.

Should (G*d willing) Romney win, I think that on Nov. 7 The Narrative will shift to how everybody and their dog in the USA who is not some kind of (non-Asian) minority is RACIST! We will be bombarded with aa full reprisal of the entire civil rights movement from the Emancipation Proclamation to Selma to election night 2008. This will last until Inaugaration Day at noon at which point the MFM will suddenly discover that the economy sucks and will be mercilessly excoriating Romney before he gets to the first Inaugural Ball.

The average job gain number for 2011 was around 150k, so your 88k sounds a bit low.
The BLS does 'seasonally adjust' their numbers, so that does give them a lot of lie room if they choose to do so.

They'll say that as the holder of "The Office of President-Elect", Romney bears full responsibility for the economy.
Incidentally, I hope that Romney, if he wins, doesn't follow Obama down the road of that "President-Elect" bullshit. It's completely unbecoming and, more importantly, not at all related to anything in the Constitution. Sort of like the rest of Obama's term.

Relative to that I also expect that before they pivot to "economy sucks" they'll go through a transitional "economy weakening" period that will be claimed to have begun just around the time that Romney started gaining traction in the polls. Also I wouldn't put it past this administration to stop doctoring the unemployment and GDP numbers if they lose to make it look as though the economy started going in the crapper after Romney was elected.

Big Bird is six years old. He lives in an alley.
In forty-odd years, no one in his of finely-blended multicultural "gritty" high-density progg-wet-dream urban neighborhood, gloriously full of people who can't afford cars--black, Hispanic, Asian, disabled, token blue-eyed guy Oscar keeps telling to scram--cared about him enough to call Child Services, let alone adopt him into their own home.
I'm kind of tired of hearing about how Romney is the cold-hearted meanie who doesn't give a shit about poor children and their fucking Big Bird.

Sure, it's foolish to try to predict anything these lying liars will do at this point. As I said, the mocha Jesus is unique to them, but traditionally they've had to weigh between their cheerleading and their perceived credibility, and chosen their credibility.
For example, in the early phase of the Clinton sex scandals, they carried the message for him, until it got to the point that it was obvious there was some truth behind it, that he was sticking cigars in young girls while in his office in the White House. Everybody deserted him then, and they were only able to tentatively get back on his side when it appeared the mean Republicans were pushing this "just sex" scandal too far.
It would be suicide for them to keep pretending Obama deserved to be reelected, but they just might be feeling suicidal. We'll see.

When you can't get anti-Mormon traction going in evangelical churches, unless you catch Romney on film playing cards with the Devil, the Mormon cult theme will not work for the dems.

That will give him plenty of time to enact "emergency" measures that a) speed up our descent into bankruptcy; b) ensure that his peeps have enough of those sweet, sweet gubmint giveaways to last them through a Romney presidency; c) extend the life of the Osama Obama regime in a time of national emergency.

Thanks, Jeff.
It's a long saga that I've already vented about here but, in the end, I'm going to be fine. Long story short: I damn near worked myself into the grave and my employer's response was to threaten my job the day after I returned from my third hospital stay in five weeks.
H.R. (covering their asses) told me take take short-term disability, which I did. Yesterday I received call from the insurance company telling me I've been approved for LTD for another 18 months. That's (God willing) more than enough time to get back on my feet and perhaps even find another calling.
So, although it might have been delivered in an awful, no good, terrible way, it may all be a blessing in the end.
Thanks, again.

Last month the unemployment rate fell to 8.1 due to the increase in the number of discouraged workers. A return to 8.2 this month shows that the economy is recovering and there are fewer discouraged workers.
(NPR offered several different and contradictory economic narratives this morning but this one was the most hilariously stoopid.)

President Bonehead's tenure in the White House has been the biggest disaster since Tom Hanks stunk up the silver screen with the execrable Turner and Hooch.

There's so much weight in that spin that if it collapses upon itself, we may all be sucked into the abyss.

Likewise, I'd be happy to buy you a drink.
I've talked to Jane D'oh a couple of times about putting something together in Savannah but, frankly, I think she's just got too much going on to be able to do it right now.
I'd be happy to pull something together for NE Fla. Heck, I'd love to get together on a certain Tuesday in November and cheer the returns as if it were a football game.

That sounds like the third rate bank I was at; they went on one of their occasional "money saving" flights of fancy and brought contractors in-house. My options were nil because the pendulum had swung against contractors in the post Y2K era but I had a sinking feeling in my stomach when I signed up. They gave me a nice bump in pay but my hours got cranked up so fucking much that it was like a nut kick. I was so glad to leave that fucking dump, along with just about everybody else including some brilliant people.

Now that would be fun, and funny, as hell. But, I'm thinking that a midnight, slurred phone call to the wife to wake up the kids and come pick me up would probably end badly for me. And by badly, I mean a stay in the hospital.

114,000 jobs and 7.8%???? Not mathematically possible.
800,000 people re-entered the workforce by "working at home" and the rate went DOWN? How the fucking hell? Are they counting people who are making no money "from home" as "employed" now?
What an utter load of steaming bullshit.

This 7.8% is pure fiction.

A continuing deterioration of the quality of life, coinciding with more government growth, and a constant barrage of lies insisting that things are great and getting even better.
