— Ace If I were a c***s*cker, and advising that elderly couple that non-filmmaker Spike Lee endangered, I'd tell them to incur some costs.
Because you can't have a lawsuit without costs. For one thing, you have to be able to show the costs you incurred due to your tortfeasor's actions.
For another thing, it's going to be hard to sell a claim of emotional duress if you just chillax at home. Like, you claim you feared for your life, but then you sit home and watch Matlock, same as before.
So if I were a real c***s*cker, advising these folks -- I'm sorry, that's offensive, I meant Person of C***s*cking -- I would tell them "Go to a hotel and keep the receipt."
But I would also tell them -- just sayin' -- that they should contact a security company for an estimate on securing their home better, and should spend as much as they could afford there, too. At least change and improve the locks and add in a motion detector. At least do that.
Because if you can show actual financial injury, you can show a genuine case, and if you have a genuine case, well, then you can start talking about emotional distress and non-economic harm.
That's where the money is. You might think actual economic harm is where the money is. No, not usually, because we can readily estimate actual economic losses and, as far as a lawsuit goes, it's pretty cheap. If a guy making $150,000 per year is forced out of work for a year due to your actions, well, that's $150,000. That sucks, but it's hardly a jackpot for him, and it's not going to kill you.
Now when that guy pitches his $5 million pain and suffering claim, well, there's where you gulp.
So, if I were Person of C**ks**king, I would tell this elderly couple to take some trips to the doctor to make sure stress and fear aren't having bad effects on their health. I might also buy a gun.
And I'd keep the receipts. Sweet sweet little certificates of fear and suffering.
I would tell them to treat these expenses as investments. Investments that might pay off just grandly.
I would also tell them not to accept points in Spike Lee's next movie as a payoff, because he's a no-talent and no one sees his stupid college movies. Cash, baby.

Any advice on also taping your sex to prove that as a result of the tortfeasor's actions, you cannot sexually satisfy your wife? You know - for the file.

Hmm..
Well, hotel costs are already being incurred, so put a checkmark in that box. (Hee! I feel like Obama!)
Since both homeowners are in their 70's, I damn well HOPE they're incurring some medical costs. If they were my parents I'd be shuttling them to the doctor to make sure the stress isn't having deleterious effects on their health whether they liked it or not!
How about the neighbors? They're getting harassed, too.

Oh, sponge. You assume that the ne'er-do-wells who are doing the harassing have the commmon sense to read a sign and believe it. The dickhead out in California who originally posted the address on Twitter has already said that he was right and taht this story about the elderly couple is a lie that was made up to protect Zimmerman. Bastards who would show up to harass an elderly couple would believe that same thing if they saw a sign saying, "George Zimmerman doesn't live here."

i wish we knew a witness to that dead couple of minutes,
zimmerman seem to tell the truth, his wounds seem to indicate it.
perhaps as time moves on truth will come through.
i don't know if it helps beyond recognition that Taryvon really wasn't a child of ten or so as they tried to indicate, but a kid that has seen some trouble caused by himself, i know that it has to be mentioned but.. some take it that He is guilty and deserved it. and we don't know for sure either way, (not this blog)
why spike or bpanthers think that putting a bounty on someone that hasn't been charged as yet is a good idea, and not actually a despicable crime in itself is any wonder.

The OWSers are also intimidating small businesses.
Now the .gov is turning a blind eye to ethinic minorities using threats and intimidation against private citizens.

It seems like a clear case of 'reckless endangerment'. .....And I hope this couple sues Spike Lee for a major amount.
Spike Lee did this with malicious intent. What other possible reason would he have for publishing their address. .....We've got the HHH [Hooded Hostile Haters] demonstrating their hatred in protests and such....and a bounty of $10K on a "Zimmerman", in other words a 'hit' has been put on the name of Zimmerman. ....So the timeliness of Lee doing this definitely seems to fit the charge of 'reckless endangerment' with malicious intent.

I would say even though he only re-Tweeted the info (in direct violation of Twitter's rules, btw), he should be held liable because HIS re-tweet went out to ALL of his 250,000 followers. It's like shouting "Fire!" in a crowded theater, except the theater is Sanford, FL; the crowd is 250,000 strong; and the fire is race-based vigilante rage.

I don't think that's a dumb question. If I were Spike Lee's attorney (and assuming he didn't settle when I urged him to do so), that would be my defense in front of the jury- that the information had already been released, etc.
Of course, as the plaintiff's lawyer, I would argue that when some no-name with 1000 followers tweets something, no substantial harm has been done at that point (if it goes viral or something, that might change), but when a well known and respected (by a certain class of individual, at any rate) movie director with 100K+ followers tweets something, actual harm has been done.
Of course, I'm not a lawyer at all, so I'm not sure any of that would work- but it seems like the best course off the top of my head.

The only issue with using Florida as a venue is that Spike Lee presumably does not live there. He lives, IIRC, in Brooklyn NY. They could have a problem getting jurisdiction over him. Much safer to sue him where he lives. Which may seem like a bad thing until you realize that Brooklyn is like no. 2 in the NY for largest jury awards in tort actions. Brooklyn is very plaintiff friendly. And there are a lot of hungry lawyers up here.

FLIR cameras go from $60k to $400k and up. Just sayin. Might want to install some ground radar as well ($500K each). Then there is ground sensors. Don't forget the 24 hour armed reaction squad. It would be pretty easy to get the tab for security upwards of $2M pretty quick. Then we can talk about emotional distress. Don't know the cost of moats and gators, but we could add that in.

25th Hour was pretty good until the very end which was really really stupid. One of Shelton's biggest problems, among many, is that he doesn't know how to end his movies effectively. And he's a cocksucker, as you noted, and a miserable excuse for a human being.

Would that be "Space Traders II: Pansy Ass Cracka?"
Which brings up a question that I'm sure has been answered elsewhere, but not where I've seen it. How could Zimmerman even BE a "cracka?" I thought cracka's were quite clearly supposed to be whites only. Wouldn't Zimmerman be more accurately described as a "Pansy Ass Beaner?" Or possibly "Pansy Ass Wetback?" I'm so confused!

Unless closeted.... then revert back to cracker. Female shooters.... if a woman, cracker, if a womyn, non-cracker. Transgendered.... never cracker. College sudent, cracker according to above rules, unless school is Ivy league or Berkley, but they arent armed. Cracker point then moot.

Both are known entities in Hittite history. Meshech is Mushki, recorded in Assyrian histories as having sacked Hattusa for the last time (1200 BC). Tubal / Tabal was a city of the Biblical Hittites, a successor kingdom like Carchemish. They were stranded there because of the aforementioned Mushki.
I vaguely recall a theory that the Mushki were Armenians en route between Phrygia and the Caucasus. Tubal would have spoken Hittite or one of the related languages (Luwian maybe).
These are both originally southern Black Sea Coast peoples, not Russians all of whose ancestors were very much to their north.

The unions are into threats and intimidation of pols, and even small business.
The OWSers are also intimidating small businesses.
Now the .gov is turning a blind eye to ethinic minorities using threats and intimidation against private citizens.
Is this a pattern, or do you think they are unrelated? Hmmm...Eric Holder is on record as saying that his DOJ will not prioritize crimes against whites by minorities because whites "haven't suffered enough". (Not that anyoneone, especially the "conservatives", seem to ever hold this against him or his boss.) So, I think that explains it all.

I just went back to try to find it but can't find the same link/clip. There is a CBS news article about the attack but it doesn't mention the other recent flash mob attacks.
I wonder if other unreported flash mob episodes are happening in major cities now, in the wake of Trayvonmania, in addition to the one in Miami Beach.

I hope police depts all over the country have plans to deal with this problem. Need some high visibility arrests to tamp it down. But I have a feeling it's going to get a lot worse before it gets better. Maybe what will finally get media attention is when someone fights back (shoots back). Then we will be back to square one, a Trayvon-like circus of misinformation all over again.

Makes sense. They expect whitey to be cowed by their mere presence - they know their own reputation for senseless violence. This illustrates the truth of the proposition that even if you're scared shitless on the inside, you must project confidence on the outside when in the presence of scum. Tubal and Meshech, in the 700s BC, would have been instantly known as neo-Hittite and Phrygio-Armenian (respectively).
In the time of Christ, Judaeans would just remember those names as "something to the north of us" and associate them with "Gog from Magog". The neo-Hittites were long gone and even the Armenians forgot how they got to Caucasia.
Then in the 200s AD you start seeing the Alexander Romance, which says that there's a great wall somewhere which keeps these hordes out.
Sometime between them is the Revelation of John at Patmos. It is a very strange book. Some of it deals with eternal truths, especially about how world governments (like the Romans) get more totalitarian over time, and more popular as they grow totalitarian. Some of it, though, requires a shoe-horn to apply directly to today.
Gog and Magog are probably northern barbarians in the first century Jewish imagination, like Scythians or maybe Galatians. I don't think it was in John's mind to predict the literal future 2000 years ahead. If he did intend today's Russians, he'd be wrong, since the Russians today aren't barbarians. (Neither are Turks, by the way. Arabs and Afghans on the other hand...)
