Probably a lot more .30 than 1.30 too. But if you bought a lot of books through Amazon it could add up.
I have bought a lot of mine through Baen who was a lot cheaper than other publishers and who have no DRM on their books.
Hopefully once the "settlement" is approved the price on all Amazon books will drop to somewhere about liker Baen's prices.

Price fixing (which was obvious). Here is the e-mail:
Dear Kindle Customer,
<br/
>
We have good news. You are entitled to a credit for some of your past
e-book purchases as a result of legal settlements between several major
e-book publishers and the Attorneys General of most U.S. states and
territories, including yours. You do not need to do anything to receive
this credit. We will contact you when the credit is applied to your
Amazon.com account if the Court approves the settlements in February
2013.
<br/
>
Hachette, Harper Collins, and Simon & Schuster have settled an
antitrust lawsuit about e-book prices. Under the proposed settlements,
the publishers will provide funds for a credit that will be applied
directly to your Amazon.com account. If the Court approves the
settlements, the account credit will appear automatically and can be
used to purchase Kindle books or print books. While we will not know the
amount of your credit until the Court approves the settlements, the
Attorneys General estimate that it will range from $0.30 to $1.32 for
every eligible Kindle book that you purchased between April 2010 and May
2012. Alternatively, you may request a check in the amount of your
credit by following the instructions included in the formal notice of
the settlements, set forth below. You can learn more about the
settlements here:
http://is.gd/lkZEG1
<br/ > In addition to the account credit, the settlements impose limitations on the publishersÂ’ ability to set e-book prices. We think these settlements are a big win for customers and look forward to lowering prices on more Kindle books in the future.

I am wondering if there will be a drop in viewership for the next presidential debate as well.
If so, could we assume that with a terrible first debate for TFG, and Uncle Joe coming across as a flaming asshole, could enough voters have already made up their minds to go with Romney, and say "Screw it" on the remainder of the debates?

I read a book yesterday, took me almost 2 minutes. Granted, it was a largely pictures and geared for the "pleeeeaze-read-it-to-me" literary set, but it was pretty good. "Toto the Tornado Kitten", by Jonathan Hall. Last year a tornado hit Brimfield, MA, killing one person, injuring others, destroying homes and businesses, the whole deal. Anyway, after the storm a tiny kitten (by the looks of the pic, just 3 or 4 weeks old) was found trapped at the top of a huge tree. A bunch of cops, firefighters, tree guys, etc. got together and managed to get the kitten down, and he now serves as a bit of a feel-good mascot for the town that was hit. (The theory is that Toto was blown up there during the storm as he was way too young to climb).
Anyway, if you need to get a little kid a book, and you're an animal person (proceeds go to various Animal rescue facilities), you might want to check it out. Attempt at link in name.

None of these things should allow us to lose heart. Just expect it, including laid-off employees, Massachusetts workers who went bankrupts, and anything else they can think of for that town hall debate.
However, Romney isn't naive about this format, as Bush 41 and McCain were. And he will be prepared.

I have never in my life seen early voting exceed 15% here in Texas in the most contentious race. I suggest the Obama campaign will be voting for as many people as they can who have not voted in multiple elections but been a registered voter. That's why motor voter is such a fraud. 30%+ of people don't care but are registered anyway so their names are rife for fraud.

In the last campaign, I was completely baffled by how people, even on the right, refused to go after SCOAMT because of his historical ideology and the ideologies of those he associated with and those of his mentors. It was as if they could not bring themselves to believe what he had said about his own beliefs and what had guided him. Those chickens are still coming home to roost:

Bidet was trying to re-reinforce those already committed to voting D. He did that, but also reinforced a lot of people to vote R.
You remind people of where their interests are, and how those interested are served by voting for you. Those opposed to you can be ignored--Bidet knew this, but there are 'weak Dems' and 'weak Rs' out there who he probably alienated. Alienated weak voters usually don't vote, or vote against whoever pisses them off the most.

I think you are exactly right. The same applies to the PPP report of early voting in Oiho. Although people worry that it might suppress weak R voting, it very well may encourage weak D's that they don't need to go to the polls after all. Net movement will probably be nil. The vote will hinge on turnout and R's are raring to vote, D's, not so much.

( not the artillery cannon; the other one )
Visualize voters as being on a line going from 100 % Demo to 100% Repub. As you go from the left end ( D ) to the right end ( R ) of the line, towards the middle, voter info and certainty grows weaker and weaker. They take longer and longer to make up their mind, and are increasingly likely to not vote.
Good campaigns are about activating your potential voters and then reinforcing their voter decision. Ignore the other side, as they will not vote for you--they just won't. If you do a good job activating potential Republicans, more and more Dems won't vote.
In politics, you always preach to the choir...

PPP, NBC/Marist, Survey USA- yeah sure pal, those outfits are all paragons of objectivity. Or not.
Mostly not.
What a brain dead, weak assed appeal to authority.
"All of these pollsters known for being in the tank for earflaps are repeatin' the same ting, so it MUST be true!"
Tell your story walkin', dumbfuck troll. And up your game, you suck at this.

Too bad about Jeter's injury. Losing him for the postseason is a loss for every fan of The Game.
Go Tigers!

Why does he hate Republicans? Can he even articulate it? Or is he just another dope who bought the meme that Republicans are mean and evil, wicked, bad, and nasty? I know of some folks who trace their distrust back to Nixon, but, sheesh, Nixon's little transgressions were quaint compared to the multiple felonies and treasons committed by bj clinton and barky obama.

Sharia Law is what most immigrant Muslims come to America to GET AWAY FROM.
They are, however, smart enough to know not to open their yaps about it.

Joffen, just let your supposedly Christian friend in on the fact that if he doesn't vote for Romney, he is actively supporting the re election of Barak Obama. A non vote is endorsing the status quo of Barry. Ask him if he has the guts to admite he is ok with 4 more years of the TOTUS.

Yes. But the hell of it is, he's not a dope, I find him very intelligent except for politics. That's a thing we need to be aware of, not all RAT voters are the Obamaphone bitch.
