33 I'm from Canada and am unfamiliar with the concept of cheerleaders.  Up here we have females with heavily clothed unrateable elbows that stand by the boards and nag and heckle mainly the opposing team.  Jeerleaders we call them.  Or Hockey moms.

We're talking about running up there next year to see a game Posted by: USS Diversity at October 21, 2012 07:54 PM (0CiTm) That is contingent upon whether or not they're still *in* Jax next year. Don't be shocked if they up and move to LA. The stadium is very nice. The area it is located in used to be seriously ghetto, but they cleaned up a good chunk of downtown when it was built and have managed to keep that little area nice since.

278 Sanchez isn''t the reason the Jets lost today. He wasn't great but he did finish with a 90 QB rating, Brady was only 95. He threw for more yards than Brady and had a higher completion %. Stephen Hill dropped a wide open pass on the 10 yard line. I mean nobody within 5 yards wide open that would have given the Jets at least 1st and goal. Had to settle for the field goal. Cromartie dropped a sure interception. And too many boneheaded penalties again for the Jets.

324 >>> 303Another scene that was filmed but cut had the Terminator getting drunk, which obviously made no sense.

Here's one that's always bothered me: All through the film reese is going on and on to Sarah about the fact that the Terminator won't rest, will do everything it can to kill her, nothing can stop it from that task. And in the last act, that's jsut what it does -- fight on and on and, losing parts until even just the fucking HAND is still trying to kill her, right?

AND YET -- in the scene early on when the Terminator is chasing them around the parking garage in a police car to catch them, after the car crashes and the cops arrive, he's GONE -- split the scene (apparently due to his eye being damaged, which they show him repairing later). So, what happened to this notion of him being so determined to kill her, despite being surrounded by cops and having a damaged eye unit? Wouldn't he have said "fuck-all" to the other humans and his eye when he had a good chance to fulfill his assassination task? Why be a pussy and run away THEN? It doesn't seem consistent with the behavior he displays in the end.

Maybe that's just me...

According to the latest Gallup survey, Mitt Romney is polling 52% of likely voters. At this point in the race he is ahead of:

Where Jimmy Carter was in 1976 (47%)

Where Ronald Reagan was in 1980 (39% -- Carter was six points up)

Where George H.W. Bush was in 1988 (50%)

Where Bill Clinton was in 1992 (40%)

Where George W. Bush was in 2000 (48%)

Where Barack Obama was in 2008 (49%)

The latest (Oct 21) Gallup numbers show the trend continues.

Mitt Romney continues to out-poll every winning presidential challenger since 1968.

The latest Gallup daily tracking poll of likely voters has Mr. Romney leading Barack Obama by seven points, 52% to 45%. Mr. RomneyÂ’s total is greater than Richard NixonÂ’s 44% at this point in the race in 1968, Jimmy CarterÂ’s 49% in 1976, Ronald ReaganÂ’s hard to believe 39% in 1980 (Carter was ahead with 45%), George H. W. BushÂ’s 50% in 1988, and Bill ClintonÂ’s 40% in 1992. In 2000 and 2008 George W. Bush and Barack Obama both tracked at a within-error 51%.

The Gallup numbers have come under criticism from Obama supporters for their supposed inaccuracy, but the oldest established polling organization has done well in predicting the last three elections. In 2000, the final Gallup likely voter poll showed a neck and neck race, 47/45, which turned out to be a 50/50 outcome. In 2004 Gallup had the Bush/Kerry race at 49/47 and the result was 50/48. And in 2008 Gallup's final likely voter poll had Mr. Obama at 53% which was right on the money. Whether Mr. Romney's tracking numbers will hold over the next few weeks remains to be seen but right now he is on a better trajectory than any presidential challenger in the last 40+ years.

Maybe the Justice Department will want to investigate.

Dang straight   he  would have.  Loved Newman but hated his politics.  Besides,  McQueen was so badass.

McQueen never quite  got the   Newman allure.  He was in Somebody Up There Likes Me(I think that was the  one)  early in both their careers.  The Towering Inferno, however,   ended up being such a bust of a movie though.    I   guess I expected better.
