Worse yet is that Jay Gutless is going to be in the top 10. Analysts always fall in love with the pretty arms
I'd rank the top 10 as:
Brady, Rodgers, Brees, Eli Manning, Roethlisberger, Stafford, Ryan, Newton, Rivers, Flacco
I can be easily argued out of all but the top 3

Ha, I am going to book pollute the open thread, because I think everyone moved here. I haven't read 50 Shades of Grey but I am in the camp of "I don't get the big deal about this series." It is a little frightening to me how many women are gobbling up this series about BDSM, not only reading it alone, but reading it for their book groups, church groups, and knitting circles. I mean, is it really the type of thing you want to read and then share your feelings about with your garden club? "oooo, I wish my Johnny would tie me up and dominate me" "Yes, my Frank never uses whips, I'm thinking of getting him one for Father's Day" "We bought a ball gag and haven't looked back since!"

5 Great Gifts to Send Obama in Lieu of Cash Contributions

Because only in the last 70 years have we let the government grow enough where it makes a huge impact. Before the New Deal the government was less than 10% of our GDP and while corrupt it wasn't big enough and the corruption was not a big enough part of it to make a difference.
That all has changed.

rightlysouther,
I was reading a story in the Seattle Times that unwittingly addressed the corruption in the government. They are increasing fishing regulations off our coast for commercial fisherman. You can argue both sides of that and that's fine.
What came out in the article though is that regarding permiting. The Nature Conservancy (which has never been in the fishing business) owns 12 of the limited number of permits. What's worse than that is that some former fishermen have decided to retire and retain their fishing permit leasing the tonnage out to other fisherman.
That is where government corruption kills industry and start ups. Why in the fuck that anyone should be allowed to own a permit that doesn't themselves use it can only be attributed to corruption. The well connected get control over fishing rights and then lease it out to those who will either pay them their juice or abide by their version of how fishing should be.
It's a damn travesty. Permits should only go to those who fucking use them.

You're right about the people but that is changing dramtically. The more people you get receiving government benefits and not having to pay for them (47%) the more difficult it is to change. We have a near majority that are free riders now, they pay no federal income tax but yet they recieve benefits paid for by that income tax. It's free money to them and they aren't going to vote to make that go away.
Posted by: robtr at July 01, 2012 10:31 AM (MtwBb)
I agree with your statement, robtr, so how do we go about altering the % of free riders? No sarcasm here, this is a serious question.

Ha, the courts and the legislature "define around it" here worse than Roberts. They now allow shopping at 1:30 pm except alcohol. That is not part of the "blue laws". That is an alcohol law. But you can sell alcohol at restaurants after 1:00 pm if you apply for (in advance) and pay a $200 license fee for each Sunday of sales, provided you are in a country of some unknown population or your voters approve it by referendum.
$200 per Sunday insures that only large places at major cities of the resorts can afford to do it.

The way I see it this election is probably the last chance and then it's a long shot if the republicans will man up and end this shit. If Obama wins that 47% will soon be 53 or 53% and then it will be impossible until it all fails.
